@@Colin-wx7kz Not an expert at all. But I am am electrician and we do solar panels. There is a large area on the east and west stand roofs that would happily accommodate a decent sized array. Even the north stand could take one, if angled correctly. My point was, that as we are allegedly destroying the planet, that is a large opportunity missed to generate loads of free leccy, as the demand drawn by the stadium itself is relatively low on non match days, thus, generation and transmission to the grid would be a decent earner. But you are correct. I am sure a cost/benefit was done and the alarming cost of solar panel installations, now that lots of the PV grants are coming to an end or stopped already, has put paid to it. It's funny though, nearly every new house that has just been built on a new estate near me, has them. When I spoke to the developer, he said it was a requirement by the council, that due to a percentage of the houses being social housing, that the council have to put renewables into, they worked out it would be beneficial to put it on all the houses. Cos, you know global warming/climate change/entire eco systems collapsing🤣🤣🤣🤣
