Great Everton side, denied a place in Europe because of the ban. That was probably the catalyst for the break up of this great side.

Pretty sure Everton would have won the EC in 86 if the ban not imposed. Truly tragic that side only had 5/6 years of success and making finals.

To be fair Cottee n Nevin are to exciting players certainly on paper andc on this showing but never quite lived up to there potential, i mean Sharp n Cottee should of got 40 plus league goals a season for the next 4 years ? Steven n Stevens stayed reid a few more years Bracewell n Mountfield injuries n then sold didn't help , Ratcliffe injuries also
