Evertune G Model routing instructional video. This video shows the process of routing a Les Paul Studio for an Evertune ET001G bridge. The same process would be used for an ES335. Custom tools and templates, available for purchase from Evertune, are used in the routing process.

The real magic of these bridges is if you do play gigs. At least to me its fantastic not worrying about tuning issues. The guitar has also typically been in a car/plane and takes time to settle. With this system you are set with a quick check, and its usually spot on!

and now you have 18% of your original guitar remaining, so get the G94xPt 9000 guide and line it up with the last line in your bank statement. with a pencil write the amount of the price paid for your guitar, and add a (-) sign in front of the value. you have successfully thrown away your money.

So many uninformed comments that are just projections of what they believe is better than this. The system allows PERPETUAL tuning stability, and the ultimate studio guitar presence. And if you'd go so far as to actually listen to a guitar with an Evertune bridge in it, you'd find that in most cases the sound is tighter, and warmer and to some people that's what's perceived as better.

Actually, I have an ESP LTD EC-1000ET, which obviously has the Evertune bridge in it. I was skeptical as well when it first came out. However I watched some recent videos, and realized that you can bend, etc with it (I literally wrote it off and paid ZERO mind to it when released other than reading it's initial reports). OnceI saw multuple videos and read multiple pieces of info, I bought the LTD with the Evertune. I have never been happier! It doesn't "stay in tune with itself", yet it stays in tune with what I set it at, which in this case is A440. I bought it a month and a half or so ago, could be as much as 2 months. As an experiment, I have left the strings it came with (fresh installation of D'Addario XL's at the shop, although not my personal string choice) on it, and used it like I normally do, which is weekly for practice, and on Sundays for a Worship guitar which sometimes is rhythm, and sometimes lead. As of Yesterdays practice, I still have not had to tune it, not once aside of one time I was showing off the different stages of "lock" areas (such as stage 2 which allows you to bend and never go sharp or flat no matter how hard you press or bend the strings) and then I used the tuning wrench it comes with to show how and where you tune it, and I accidentally moved the high E string out of tune, and had to bring it back. Aside of that, not had to tune it, ever (get it? Evertune? haha) So, I get the skepticism, but this is from a real world user. And hey, if someone wants to tell me I got lucky and got one that works great, then hey, I won the lottery, because this is the best non standard bridge system I have ever used and I couldn't be happier! I do wish you could drop tune easier with these things, but that is why I used it as I do, because no need to drop tune at church. I will use my standard rigs for those types of gigs!

That would not be possible, since the system is based on spring tension. Remember those Kahlertrems? They were top mounted with small springs, but I doubt they could use this system to counter the string tension.

Wow, no wonder they used a Studio. I couldn't even think about doing this much surgery to a Les Paul Standard or Customl. Somehow........ it seems very different when the factory decides to mill out a lot of the body (chambered or weight reduced). I'm not a huge fan of milling wood out of the centerline of the guitar. Maybe I just don't like the idea of it. This would have to be a factory installed item for me to even consider it. Junk guitar, sure but no $350 bridge on a $100 junker?

Generally speaking, an F model will just fit in a stock Strat with a surface mounted rear plate, and a G model will require a riser plate under the rear plate if the guitar is thinner than 1-3/4" which I think might happen on SG's. The difference between F and G models is the space between the strings and the body of the guitar. G models have a larger space, such as used in tune-a-matic bridges.
@joeoneill9098
@joeoneill9098 3 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I ask because you could only go so deep until you bit the cavities I where the pickups are installed!
@mechanismguy
@mechanismguy 3 жыл бұрын
@@joeoneill9098 In the F model, the wood is almost completely gone there. If you don't have a pickguard there is only a thin strip of wood between the bridge pocket and the pickup pocket. The bottom of the neck pickup nearly hits the Evertune modules. It is a very tight fit.

Old debate.
@johnchase8510
@johnchase8510 8 жыл бұрын
Aaron, The guitars are not identical! Did you record the instrument then swap bridge systems? The pickups may have had slightly different outputs (windings), pots may have slightly different values and the caps which do react with the load, are in the circuit even when the pot is wide open may have different values. To top it all off, the necks may have had different densities (most definitely) and this does make an appreciable tone difference that body wood has far less (like none we hear when amplified) effect, and the bridge systems are made up of differing materials which makes quite an audible difference in many cases. Other than this, the instruments may have been identical ;-)

It's sad how people avoid new stuff and are stuck in the past. This thing is just so useful in live situations and studio. Real professional guitar techs won't argue about that. Maybe not worth it, if you are playing at home with your line6 spider 15w amp, but when temperature and humidity varies from place to place in gigging situations, it's just a no brainer really. Saves alot of time in studio situations also because you don't have to waste time tuning the thing after every take. Also alot better when you can set the bridge for rhythm takes so when pressing or hitting the string harder won't make it go sharp. Most people didn't even learn or try how the thing works before commenting and most of those guys play only strats and les pauls. Cmon it's 2019 not 1960.
