Bloodborne is a work of art. I’ve never played anything before or since with such atmosphere and beautiful horror. And as for chalice bosses: bloodletting beast is the worst thing in the game! Fighting the camera at the same time as that beast in a cursed dungeon at half half was the most rage I’ve experienced in the game

Quick tip for the Keeper boss, hit her twice with a fast weapon then immediately shoot her. You will get a parry every time! Infinite stunlock.

Great list! I personally really love the Pthumerian Elder and Descendent for their differing moveset and cuz I feel like it's implied that they were the inspiration for the trick weapons since they both use transforming weapons

This is a great list. BSB I wouldn't have that high. But I loved the chalice dungeons. Punishing yet rewarding. 1,500 hours put into Bloodborne and im still playing.

Just finished Bloodborne while I was staying at my boyfriend's place throughout July, didn't have time for the chalice dungeons and since I can't really play it anymore I wanted to check out what it's about. Anyways just looked through your channel while listening to this video and holy shit how do you not have more subs. If your other several hour long videos are as well produced as this one you should have like a million subs lol. Anyways keep it up you're doing great

Amazing list. I agree that abhorrent beast is amazing and i think its one of the toughest, if not the toughest boss in bloodborne (if you go to other cursed dungeons).

I was quite sad when you excluded the CD bosses from the main ranking video, so I'm happy to see these get their own. Random nitpicks and/or Chalice Dungeon trivia: the 2 normal Merciless watchers are the Club and Gun pair, while the Chieftain is the one with the saw. You can stunlock the Keepers of the Old Lords for easy fights, but you specifically need to try for it while they're trying to buff their weapon. Once you get them down low enough they'll keep attempting to do so and you can just keep interrupting them if you time it right. There are also some keepers in the dungeons that are hunters in the bone ash set instead of the boss model/ai. Those bastards are parry gods and have perma-fire buffed weapons like the saw cleaver. Beast possessed soul does have a 2nd phase, at half health if you let it back off it'll sort of just sit there and roar for a bit before adding fire into most of its attacks IIRC the Headless Bloodletting Beast (in japanese the name's something like Source of the Beast Blood) was confirmed to be the headless corpse of Lawrence, first Vicar. Abhorrent Beasts are cripplingly weak to poison, to the point 1-2 knives leave them poisoned and poison does something like 1/3rd of their health bar. Finally, many more bosses than just the Keepers and Undead Giants can spawn out in the dungeons proper as random enemies. I've had the (dis)pleasure of finding Beast Possessed Souls, Blood Starved Beasts, Abhorrent Beasts, and both Pthumerian variants just sitting around in the dungeon waiting to be woken up and drop a literal boss fight in the middle of the dungeon, usually with several normal enemies around. Basically anything worse than the Beast Possessed Soul is fairly rare, but they can happen and when they do they're terrifying surprises.

Defiantly in the minority, but I think the chalice brainsucker is actually pretty fun, his moveset is pretty fun, and I love the pillars in his arena.

I'm not ashamed to say that I ran away when I came across the Abhorrent Beast. It scared the shite out of me with how sudden it was, terrifying it's form and voice was. A nightmare realized and I was not ready. Once my manhood dropped from my throat hiding in an entrance he couldn't reach and noped out.

On my 4th play through I actually started messing with Chalice dungeons. It was a chill way to pass the time…for the most part😅

The chalice dungeons are a guilty pleasure of mine, I love everything about them even if they are repetitive. However some of the modifiers are horseshit, and they can go and get brainsucked by a brainsucker.

It took me two whole weeks of trying EVERYDAY to beat chalice dungeon Amygdala. Never sweated more in a single player video game. Great upload as usual. Keep it up!

Oh abhorrent bastard. (And the darkbeast WOW what a massive a-hole) I had so much trouble with that fight. I summoned a guy and we helped eachother fight that dude for hours. He was a Chinese kid, in china, and we had quite the language barrier in our messages. At one point, he said he had to go because his mom was calling him for dinner. We beat him when he got back. To this day I somehow missed queen yarnham and lierally just started going back through the dungeons to conquer once and for all. Great video

Just completing all the chalice dungeons for the second time since 2015, I realize they’re not as bad as I remember them. You get a shit ton of blood echoes making you OP in base game, you get a bunch of unique armor, max your weapons with the best blood gems, and get some genuinely fun bosses along the way. Of course, the sameness of it all gets to you but it adds to that sense of madness that Bergenwerth tomb prospectors probably felt, so it’s meta

Bloodborne is always gonna be my favorite of all soulsborne games, I'm biased mind you cause before bloodborne i never liked the souls games they made me angry and i thought they were unfair. I was ofcourse wrong about that i just didn't understand them, but bloodborne i tried at a buddies place and it finally clicked with me. It kicked my ass over and over but i loved it, i am now a souls veteran whos beaten every one of fromsofts souls games including demons souls and love all of them :). Thank you bloodborne it made me open to the amazing work of souls games 😊!

I really hope Sony finally say yes to a bloodborne 2 after seeing elden ring if it isn't already in the making yet to be announced. Would love to see plenty of these enemies more tougher and faster than they are now I feel they difficulty of elden ring with bloodborne move would be more manageable. Hopefully they'll skip the 7 sec over head delays tho

Fighting Rom in the chalice dungeon was the worst experience of the entire game for me. Already the weakest boss from the main story imo, made more unfairly difficult due to the limited space of the arena. The fight would be significantly less frustrating if the amount of small spider spawns were cut by even like 15 - 20%. I was getting ohk at like level 120 with 1350hp. Ridiculous

The chalice dungeons are the true eldritch horror

I am ashamed to admit that I used summons excessively in the chalice dungeons. Just kind of wanted to get the thing over with at some point. But despite the dungeons including so much shit they still have a few of the most interesting and challenging bosses in the game. Too bad they couldn't find a better way to include them than this. Also fuck the Amygdala in the chalice dungeons, only time in Bloodborne I resorted to cheesing

The Abhorrent Beast is my only reason to go to Loran. The Bloodletting Beast is also really cool but I always forget it exists to be honest. It's like, after beating Rom I find out there is another floor and that beast is the boss and it just makes me leave the dungeon with a more pleasent feeling. I don't have issues with Rom because I almost nailed the strategy to a t at this point. The area is an issue though, specially because it's dark and you can get caught in between the pillars. The Amygdala in the other hand... it's the worst chalice dungeon boss in my opinion. It has just... way too much HP and hits insanely hard. I like fighting the Amygdala but the issue is that the hardest version of the boss was put on the most horrible dungeon. Fuck chalice dungeon Amygdala, for real.

Was agreeing with the list until I saw abhorrent beast at number 1. I still liked the video, but damn do I hate this boss. I threw poison daggers at him and ran around the arena.

Man I wanted Elden Ring to be my favorite but I'm convinced no From game will ever take Bloodborne's place as my favorite of the catalog smh. If they ever do drop BB2 I will probably publicly shit myself.

I am pretty alone with the opinion that the worst is defiled amy. All the other may be lame as shit and brainsucker are dogcrap. But the combo of one hit attacks with AOE and with low framerate for the power is just bad scaling and the worst gaming expierience of my life. Redt I agree though

I genuinely can't understand why you would put Loran Darkbeast that high. It's the most aggravating, frustrating, janky piece of shit fight in the entire game. Paarl isn't a particularly great boss mechanically to begin with, but this is on another level of dogshit. Everything from the awful camera, the insane hitboxes, aoe's, cramped arena, it all adds up to me regretting ever bothering with the chalice dungeons. I went through 20 hours of copy paste corridors for a rehashed paarl that one shots you and never staggers. Sorry for the rant, I just hate that boss so much. I guess it reminds me of ER's boss design too much.
