Without any knowledge or experience, I beat ebrietas on the first try, I never understood how to dodge her charge attack tho. I was proud asf when I discovered she was a pretty hard boss

Micolash is WAY too high, honestly even Rom has a much better design, lore and arena, but the rest of the list is okay, i guess

Great video, Guys! Bloodborne is my favorite FromSoftware game, as well as my second favorite game of the 8th generation, and it boasts some amazing boss fights (as well as some that are less than stellar, to put it lightly). I don't think I could rank every boss, but here's my Top 10 Favorites: 1. Ludwig, the Accursed / the Holy Blade 2. Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower 3. Gehrman, the First Hunter 4. Father Gascoigne 5. Martyr Logarius 6. Orphan of Kos 7. Abhorrent Beast 8. Amygdala 9. Shadows of Yharnam 10. Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos Ludwig is far and away my favorite FromSoftware boss, as I love how the fight flawlessly combines the best elements of a beast and hunter battle into one epic clash. He also offers just the right level of challenge and doesn't feel cheap or drag the fight on too long. Honestly, Ludwig is my second favorite boss in any game, only beaten out by The End from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. They really dropped the ball with The One Reborn. It feels like they were trying to replicate Granfalloon from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (which is my favorite boss from that game) in terms of design but executed it poorly. Also, as much as people complain about Orphan of Kos being so aggressive, I find Pthumerian Descendant far worse in that regard. That boss killed me nine times on my playthrough (Orphan only killed me four times), and I found it ridiculous how long he could spam his attacks. One cool piece of trivia you may not have heard about the lead-up to the Ebrietas fight: You know how you have to break through a window in the Upper Cathedral Ward to uncover her arena? That's actually a subtle homage to "The Haunter of the Dark" -- a 1936 short story by H.P. Lovecraft -- where the protagonist breaks a window to enter an abandoned church where one of the Outer Gods is hiding. There are plenty of other references to Lovecraft's work throughout Bloodborne, most notably The Fishing Hamlet being a huge loveletter to one of his most famous stories, "The Shadow over Innsmouth." Also, hearing that you were in 8th or 9th grade when you first played this game makes me feel old, as I was a sophomore or junior in college when Bloodborne released. Lol. Anyway, I'm loving your videos, and I'm impressed with the quality on display, as it rivals that of much larger channels. You have my subscription!

Great vid! I'll never tire of boss rankings and hearing what people like/dislike about any given boss, especially for Bloodborne. Rom being placed so low offends me, I really like her lore and admittedly I'm one that doesn't clear our the spiderlings after the first wave, so it's always pretty fun and tense. I'll look the other way tho, as you did put some respect on mah boi Micolash's name :D

Disagree on Blood Starved Beast below the Brainsucker lol, hated the poison but I thought it was thematically pretty cool especially considering the area it's in (which I like going through) and it's a pretty fast and engaging fight before it starts leaking poison all over the place. Also banging OST and underrated lore (it's basically a martyr the beasts of Old Yharnam all worship, that gives its blood so they don't go feral iirc). Definitely not a highlight or a good boss but below Witch of Hemwick and the boss health bar insight draining annoying mob hurt to see. Which is cool because I like hottakes haha.

The reason theres a baby crying with Mergo's Wet Nurse boss fight, is because a Wet Nurse is someone that looks after babies 😂

Honestly I agree so much that One Reborn is abhorrent, the vomit is nearly unavoidable bs and the fact he can bs spawn crap above you makes him unbearable. I wasn’t even aware he could be staggered cause he never has a good animation for it.

Thoughts: The One Reborn: The fight is as messy as his appearance. Rom, the Vacuous Spider: This is my least favourite fight in the game, it has artificial difficulty, and is also boring. And weapon durability is definitely stupid. Pthumerian Descendant: I think he's decent, I don't have much to say on him though. Loran Darkbeast: I hate this thing because of the arena alone, and your health is lowered. Blood Starved Beast: I think if it weren't for the poison, people would like her better. Brainsucker: One of the most annoying enemies is thankfully an easy boss. Maneater Boar: At least it's a fun enemy this time. Darkbeast Paarl: I like him, if you fight him after Amelia and the Witches, he's well balanced and if you don't always staggerhim, he has a cool second phase. Headless Bloodletting Beast: He's OK, he doesn't do anything insulting. Merciless Watchers: If they're this much of a joke as a gank, I can only imagine fighting them solo. Loran Silverbeast: The only enemy from Nightmare of Mensis I enjoy. Undead Giant B and C: They're cool, but unmemorable. Witches of Hemwick: Yeah, Celestial Emmisary are way easier, but this is such a drag. Celestial Emmisary: So bad, they're good. Beast Possessed Soul: How does it look dumb, it's a wolf satyr. This one is annoying imo. Undead Giant basic: Once again, cool but unmemorable. Forgotten Madman and Escort: I cannot remember these guys. Keeper of the Old Lords: He's buffed down Lady Maria, but he's fun. Undead Giant Cannon: OK, this time, he's memorable. Living Failures: They have an amazing theme, and I think they're enjoyable enough. Laurence, the First Vicar: I think he should have been higher, he has an amazing theme and he feels different enough from Cleric Beast to not be another Blue Kool Aid. Moon Presence: She's surprisingly easy, with a cool theme though. Micolash, Host of the Nightmare: The only reason I like him better than Rom is because of the voice lines and music. Amygdala: This is a fun fight, and his laser attack reminds me of 70's alien movies. And he actually he uses his ripped limbs. Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos: THAT CHARGE! Thankfully, she's mechanically sound for everything else, with a cool design, she's also the hardest boss in the main game. Vicar Amelia: I wish she had her own theme, but I think she's underrated. She's one of the scariest bosses in the game and that's saying something. I hate her heal though. Mergo's Wet Nurse: Wet nurses are a real thing. But anyway, she's surprisingly easy, but fun with a creepy theme. Cleric Beast: My first boss in the game, he's definitely memorable. The limb damage is cool and his screech is horrifying. Watchdog of the Old Lords: He's one of the hardest bosses imo, but I love chaotic fights, so I love Watchdog. Also, all the DLC themes are better. And Gherman's. Father Gascoigne: He is intense for a tutorial boss, but he's really cool, and it's chaotic. Bloodletting Beast: He's like a less cool Cleric Beast. Yharnam, Pthumerian Queen: She's a good fight and a thankful end to the Chalice Dungeons. Pthumerian Elder: He has a very varied moveset for a Dungeon boss. Shadows of Yharnam: I can't believe the same company who made the graverobber trio made this fight. Martyr Logarius: He's really hard for me, but I still think he's a great boss in a great area. Gehrman the First Hunter: My favourite final boss in Souls, he has a great theme, moveset and difficulty. Abhorrent Beast: Another chaos fight. Orphan of Kos: Before Malenia, there was the orphan, and unlike Malenia, he got his title as the hardest without any BS mechanics. Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktowr: The only thing she lacks is difficulty, but she's still a great fight. Ludwig the Accursed/Holy Blade: He and Gael are tied for my favourite fight in the series, best theme and his phases are the perfect beast and humanoid fights.

I love that you hate half the bosses in Bloodborne cause I actually feel the same way towards every Dark Souls game. In BB you hate all the bosses I love hehe, I did beat most in one go but idk I can see how many could be frustrating. Bloodborne just controls so well compares to Souls that you can end up having completely different experiences. Good video regardless

I dont care what anyone says, Bloody Crow Of Cainhurst is the hardest enemy in the game. Died more to him than Ludwig and Laurence combined. He can basically F Off!

I’ve always had a really skewed view of the DLC bosses. Mostly because when the DLC came out, I only had one character and I was on NG +5 with him. Each boss took weeks for me to beat, and Ludwig was the hardest boss I had ever fought at that point. Recently went through on a new character and he was a LOT easier.

The Fatal Flaw Of Cytonox; the blank ranking. Understanding the fact that all the high quality cytonox videos so far have all been ranking videos allows us to peer into the future of the channel, no doubt full of troubles and tribulations. The ranking format, while easy to digest as a viewer without thinking too hard, will ultimately lead to monotonous and boring Watchmojo-esque videos. Peering into the cytonox channel we also find tier list videos, as stated by the host themselves made between major ranking videos. While they are supposed to be ‘filler’ content, the drop in quality contrasted against the major videos is jarring. Focusing on major videos will improve their overall quality, and cutting out filler content would trade views per video for higher quality content. The future of cytonox seems murky but their exponential growth is quite fun to watch and compete against.

haven't fought every boss yet. but goddamn right now micolash is the most hated boss for me. just a lot of running around, one time he didn't go into the room in like 10-15 minutes. another time he ran in their as the first thing right away. it's such a bad boss design

I don't think I can even make a top-ten because of how much I hate the bosses in this game. But let's see, I'll just put the ones I actually like. 1. Ludwig 2. Vicar Amelia 3. Mergo's Wet Nurse (Just adore the design and atmosphere, and thought it was satisfying to fight) 4. Lady Maria 5. Gehrman Ummmmm, yeah, no all I can do is 5, these are the only five bosses that I thought were actually good. (I fought Martyr Logarius but literally can't remember a thing about him, so I can't really judge) The bosses really brought this game down immensely for me personally, since if a game has bosses, that is automatically the biggest appeal for me, so after I kept fighting dud after dud in Bloodborne, the motivation to get through each area was pretty much nonexistent, cause that's like, the reward at the end; a fun boss to test your skills, if there isn't a fun boss at the end, what's the point? By the end of the game I felt empty and disappointed, probably one of my least favorite of Fromsoft's games, setting and combat are both great, but what's the point in good combat if you have literally nothing fun to fight with said combat?

Orphan of Kos is terrible. First phase is just mildly fun and excruciatingly easy, he struggles immensely to even hit you, and is just boring to fight. The second phase literally all he does is jump a million miles into the sky where you can't do anything to him, and spam his shotgun spray of weird red goopy stuff (I have no clue what it is), when he finally lands, the moment you run up to him, he'll just shotgun you in the face and run away, killing you instantly, or, if you manage to survive his shotgun, he'll just relentlessly attack non-stop for a trillion years, with his realllllly obnoxious scream, and also the camera's pretty atrocious. Also, probably the most boring design in the game.
