doubtful. They may play well for silver when they're comfortable, but they fumble immediately when things don't go their way. And they become super passive when they're on the backfoot, which are the hallmarks of "I'm better than my rank but somehow I just can't climb". Consistency is what makes people climb, not just overall peak skill. And this player wasn't consistent relative to anything I'd consider "fast climb" worthy. They're good for silver, but not consistent nor methodical. And they have some wild outa pocket decisions from time to time on top, which certainly doesn't help their rng.

@@CaptBuck depends on what typa skill youre talking about tho. if they only have mechanical skill such as aiming then i agree that wont get them out of silver since this game is much more than that. But skill also involves positioning, game sense, etc. Sooo what typa skill are you talking about here lol.

not really how it works. climbing quickly requires dominance. consistent, solid play is a slow climb.

Counting bubbels in low elo is powerful. Especially when in coms you can just walk over a zarya. If I am in coms as tank I just scream: no bubbels. And I know what time it is

Comms are so rare that a tank in one of my matches yesterday said "NICE" after a fight and then later "Oh, nice dart!" when I slept an ulting JQ and it felt like he talked the whole time.

In this situation you aren't creating space, you aren't securing kills, you're barely dealing damage, you're demanding almost 100% of the attention from your supports, AND YOU WON'T TOUCH THE CART. Reeeeeeeee! This is literally the final fight of the game. What's the worst that can happen??? You die? Oh well, at least you made an attempt to do *something*. Instead your decision was to save your 443 health for the next round, because it definitely carries over, lol.

Moira orbs might be my favorite food as D.Va. I just looked at the numbers and an eaten Moira orb is a potential 300 healing or 200 damage just gone. Plus if you eat a damage orb then she doesn't get back any healing juice from it. What a good snack. Oh and Reaper ults. Delicious, delicious, Reaper ults.

As DVa they were doing great. They should have swapped to her again when they changed the comp. It would have been perfect against the widow and bastion and force them to change characters again to the ones they seemed least comfortable with

The ult and then run to spawn was a higher level play ...yet hes stuck in bronze... So thats where all the good tanks are stuck at bronze. ...while i play with nothing but ego dvas

I agree he’s in a higher level with decision making but the difference between being stuck and ranking up is playing as a team. Elevating your team mates. Last night I played dva and any time my genji ulted I would follow in with a full dm, and basically be his protector while he dove in. Not necessarily being aggro myself the whole time. Once this tank learns that part, playing as a teammate and not *just* as a great individual, then he will climb fast.

The difference between the silver 2 pc gameplay here and the silver 2 console gameplay on your main channels' last video is absolutely staggering. One is like watching a bunch of half witted drunks who've just been handed a controller for the first time and one is like watching actual half way decent gameplay that makes some sort of sense. As a silver 2 (literally exactly silver 2 on all 3 roles) console player, I just want to confirm that this is absolutely 100% accurate and the many console players who frequent these comments claiming otherwise are completely delusional.

Unlike Emongg, I can see the value of roadhog against bastion. You set up pig pen, and the moment turret form and ram's shield run out, you pull bastion and obliterate them. I can personally confirm it's effective and bastion doesn't have a lot of fun against that :3

Bastion's supports were pumping them with heals, so pretty unlikely to get the pick. Also, a good bastion won't let a tank like hog get enough time to actually do something, at least they'll damage them to the point where the tank needs to get cover; bastion is a tank buster after all. That's why emmong mentioned DVa or sigma; those are the perfect characters against tank busters. That's why this tank wasn't suffering when they ran against the first comp. Orisa/bastion/widow is the perfect comp for DVA to run freely
