This seems like a tough one to do, since a lot of these don't have worthwhile media showing off any assets of note outside of Climax's Diddy Kong Racing Adventure and Banjo Pilot/Diddy Kong Racing (Voxel Version).... which still baffles me as to why they dropped that engine for the released game. It ran well! The Mode 7 engine is _such_ a notable downgrade... but I digress! Good job with what you had to work with. It's a shame Nintendo seems to have it in for the DKC franchise as far as I'm concerned - Miyamoto's negativity towards Rare's games are well-known at this point, after all. While the Microsoft purchase of Rare did change many plans, at least MS was cool with Rare continuing to publish on the GBA and DS, even if some games had to be reskinned to Banjo (or, uh, Mr.Pants) for their eventual release. More often than not, I just hear Nintendo Japan shutting down pitches for any number of arbitrary reasons (for lots more games than DK). I can't believe why they would've killed Climax's project so soon knowing FULL WELL that Diddy Kong Racing was pretty beloved and they desperately could've used some guaranteed hits on the Gamecube. But Nintendo will Nintendo, _*sigh_ I'm surprised you didn't mention Vicarious Visions' Donkey Kong game (codenamed Donkey Kong Freedom) that was in the news relatively recently. The one that apparently got handed off to Nintendo's own internal teams, specifically members of Super Mario Odyssey's team. But then again, there's no real media about it (searching for it on KZfaq shows some fan game called Donkey Kong Freedom made in Dreams though, so that's kinda neat). I mean, I guess there's a chance it'll still come out... but it won't be Vicarious Visions' version of it so.... I guess it could go either way in the end.
