Doom Patrol the show that starts very strong and keeps on getting better with each episode. Evey episode has the power to make you laugh and make you cry and is unapolegetic about its weirdness. Going from strength to strength the Doom Patrol has this Marvel fan as a permanent fanboy.

Geoff Johns has stated at NYCC and in multiple interviews that Cyborg will NOT be a member of the Doom Patrol. He will simply be the one who initiates their mission and a series regular (for this season at least). The series synopsis also clarifies this.

The one element I'm puzzled on is why Cyborg - just introed in JLA - is include. Yes, he & Robotman have differing capabilities...but I think most non-ComicsGeeks would find them too 'similar'. Otherwise, it looks promising.

3:10 that’s not Larry, that’s Rebis! 5:44 also I don’t think it’s super fair to say it’s not a very original concept when Jane has been around for many more years than the movie Split has. Also, Split demonizes people with DID by painting them as killers whereas Jane has a completely full story arc.

Sol, I've not seen Dr. Eleanor Poole of the Grant Morrison run in the show's previews. Remember, before Dr. Poole came into the picture to make the Rebis three-in-one, Larry Trainor was alone in being the physical shell of Negative Man's energy. As for Crazy Jane, bravo on applauding the originality of her character concept. As I read the Grand Morrison series, I enjoyed seeing her growth as she searched for healing and love.

I don't like the iea of Cyborg there: what's the big deal of having someone who is half-man and half-machine when he is next to Robotman whose body is 100% machine? Especially if they are forcing him into the story as he is not part of the group in the comics.

You should have watched episode 3 ("Doom Puppets") before posting this. A lot has changed and this is already dated. Also if you re-watch the pilot episode you'd see a very quick reference to "Danny Street".

I don't get why Cyborg is going to be in this when they have Robotman. I know Cyborg has more powers, but why not have him in Titans and just have a different character for the Doom Patrol.

Why is SC working so hard to keep him from being a Titan. Cyborg and Robotmam are similar with the hole interesting with machine thing only, Robot man is mostly a full body amputee and is very depressed. While Cyborg deals with becoming more machine than man. It's slightly different but too similar that they'll step on the others toes

I HOPE Danny doesn't have a voice cause he can't speak he communicates by shifting signs, paper, smoke, and windows to spell out what he's saying. I hope it doesn't suck like Titans. Had bad writing and characterization. The girl who played RAVEN was inexperienced and since the whole season revolved around her really lowered the bar.

@@deviousj5868 I get that. Its not that he NEVER talked. In Morrison's books he very briefly spoke through a telephone but still switched to speaking through litter. I just think it's more creative to communicate without a voice. Either way Danny is still Danny. As long as the gun shops are in lace and flowers I'll be satisfied

In the comics Larry, his doctor and the Negative Energy spirit fused to form the hemaphrodite Rebis and even had sex with themselves.

In the comics, Larry was changed into Rebis, a more like pansexual/hermaphrodite character, but I don't think he's gay in the show. He acts as a housekeeper for escapism, like Rita keeps tied to her old movies.

@@MrEdrazo No he kisses a fellow airman in a trailer. He is bisexual, or possibly just gay and married in order to hide it considering how homophobic 60's America was. Judging by some of the comments some people haven't changed that much.
