I used to have spotlights on my GTi 1.9 until the car’s power and my driving skill reached the unfortunate conclusion that they were incompatible. A visit through a hedge and the consequential nose dive into a field resulted in a damaged car; the spotlights smashed beyond repair…

I guess some old cars just like to make us humans angry, my Golf II really likes to annoy me, a few days ago my Ignition coil decided to not work anymore, so the engine ran like a bucket full of srews, before that my rear drum brake bearings got destroyed, before that the cooler was broken and it was leaking coolant like crazy and before that i had to replace my head gasket...lots and lots of stuff to do...but at some point it will run again perfectly and be as reliable as everyone tells you, the most important thing is to nut quit i guess, which can be really hard if everything starts to break down around you but still. Im really impressed by all the love and work you put into your cute and wonderful little 205, and im confident that it will a perfect car pretty soon! I wish you all the best!

My ZX shakes and rattles whenever I accelerate, the more weight is in the car, the worse. Myself too, I think it's the drive shaft inner joint, as it does not click or bang when I turn, so it's not the outside, aaaand as I already changed motor mounts. Note: it gets a lot worse after you take it to a racetrack 😅

Its quite normal that the 205 heater matrix fails. Or at least the o-rings of it 😄.

The vibration is maybe coming from the driveshaft. Maybe it's the inner joint. When these are dying they can give the same symptoms. Good luck wrenching again!

Isnt it funny how some cars just refuse to work no matter what you do, and once they do they instantly break down again. I have a Porsche 944 Turbo thats like that, so its mostly sitting cause I simply cant be fucked with it.
