My biggest pet peeve is that Gabriel AND Negan saw the helicopter then decided to never mention it. Aside from that, helicopters are loud. We’re supposed to believe that Anne had an arrangement with the helicopter people for years and no one heard them

My guesses are that negan didn’t wanna ruffle any feathers, as he didn’t think anyone relevant would care to listen to him. He also respected jadice I think and what she had suffered and figured she’d just be gone in her peace. Gabriel reallyyyyy didn’t want anyone to worry or to know he got with jadice and she ended up being sus after he blatantly lied defending her.

The actor who plays Beta (Ryan Hurst) also plays Thor in God of War: Ragnarök. His performance in that is stellar. I really want to see him in more media, just an amazing actor.

Fun facts; the pants Rick wears are the same pair of pants from the pilot. In the season 8 premire, Carl mimics the opening scene from the pilot where Rick shoots the little girl walker, and they even rehired the same actress to play another walker. 8x14 is the last episode where Rick is seen wearing his killer jacket. 9x5 was apparently supposed to have Glenn instead of Sasha, but Steven Yeun couldn't do it because of filming constraints. 9x5 has a parody sense of The Wizard of Oz, with Shane being the Courage, Hershel being the brains and Sasha being the heart.

1:20:45 I've heard it said that the Whisperer's skins essentially always smell like walkers since they're just dried and not put through a chemical tanning process like leather. Plus they're constantly moving with and living alongside hordes of walkers, picking up their smells. Enter a horde with a fresh mask, by the time it's nice and rigid you've picked up enough walker smell to outweigh any loss of scent on the mask. They also don't bathe for months at a time. Except in blood, part of their whole creed is 'we bathe in blood'. It's metaphorical but metaphor bathing is still bathing.

About Morgan's hallucinations: there's a theory that when Morgan's son, Duane, got bitten by his mother, Morgan went crazy and shot/stabbed/beat Duane to death in a fit of manic rage. Which is why he repeats "you know what it is" "You had the knife/gun" "You were supposed to", perhaps suggesting that he blamed Duane at first as a way to cope and later those same phrases come back to haunt him when he realizes it was his own fault and that he's too violent. And why he developed that "all life matters" stuff after finally healing. And why he hallucinates the saviors he and Henry killed. Because, after 'healing' from what he did to his son, he swore to never kill anyone again. However there's also a theory that Morgan is a naturally violent person in a way, so he's constantly struggling between violence and peace. Hince why he does a 180 with his philosophy in Season 8. It's an interesting theory that adds a lot more layers to his character and explains some of his more... annoying behavior in Season 6-8

@@bentchlorine I haven't watched Fear (only the first few episodes of the first season) but I hear people say that Morgan's arrival both butchered the show and the character. Pretty sure that's the reason Lennie James refuses to play Morgan again unless his return is well written. Really disappointed because I really liked Morgan and Lennie's acting, especially in "Clear" and "Here's Not Here"

@@llamaniaman4002 SPOILER for Morgans character in Fear the Walking Dead - DONT READ ON IF YOU WANT TO WATCH IT - so in the last season of Fear, Morgan ends up returning to the town from Season 1 and it turns out he never killed Duane, just locked him away because he couldn't bring himself to do it. Ends up locking him in the attic of the house from Episode 1 where he brings Rick after Duane knocked him out. He does then end up killing Duane who's been up there for like, 10+ years.

For me, a deaf person surviving was unlikely but not enough to break immersion. She traveled with a group and if children and partially blind people (Gabriel) can survive for years why not a deaf person? Plus I really liked the dynamic between Daryl and Connie. It was nice to see Daryl get close to someone outside of the main group that didn’t end up walker food.

Being blind in one eye isn't the same as being deaf. If not for that one black guy (I forgot his game) that helps Connie while they were being hunted by those cannibals she would have easily died in that house due to her not being able to hear. I love Connie but it is a bit unrealistic for a deaf person to survive for so long even with friends to help her.

@@LowResLeafa Oh I agree that’s it’s a bit unrealistic but it didn’t break immersion for me. It’s very unlikely but not impossible. She’s the only completely deaf person we see at that point so it was easy for me to accept that she got lucky. Also I believe it was Virgil in the house with her. Side note, the whole person living in the walls and hunting them thing was ridiculous and felt really out of place to me. I kept laughing because it was kinda silly

It's absolutely realistic lmao Disabled people have survived decades even in pre-historic times, or in modern survival situations, because they adapt and rely on people around them. It's absolutely not unrealistic that we have a few disabled characters in the cast.

To clear it up, Kelly is going deaf but isn't completely deaf yet. It is mentioned later on. It's a detail that can be easily missed since, let's be honest, Magna's group is pretty forgettable and boring except two or three of them in Season 11.

True, this point became clearer to me while watching season 10. I do still believe it would improbable for a person with hearing loss to survive this long, especially considering it's two people with varying degrees of hearing loss. It's a shame because it makes me not care about the characters when I don't believe they would reasonably exist in the scenario presented. Like I say, if this was season 1 - 2 I could buy into the idea.

Negans last line "Carl didn't know shit" really helped Ricks decision to keep him alive. I usually despise leaving the villains alive but in this case I was pretty much on board with it from the start. Governor is the best villain but Negan is the most Interesting character and entertaining.

@@Howesenberg I grew up with Bomberman Hero and I still listen to the OST to this day, such a lovely and relaxing OST so I immediately spotted it every time you used it and loved it hahaha. For some cool OST like this, have you tried marvel vs capcom 2 ost or killer 7? They both have great ost that may match some of the commentary or scenes. Sorry I don't meant to barge into your content creation but it's just that I also do enjoy those and they may fit your style. As for POI, I just mentioned it because I just finished watching it and I loved every second of it, and it depicts AI in a very interesting and menacing way.

About the passing out moment. I have experienced passing out from bloodloss and when coming to, I thought I had just had a nice 8h sleep while waking up to the sun rising. In reality it was about 5-10 seconds max, because I was talking to my brother and according to him just slid to the floor and by the time he crouched over me, I was already coming to. I have even had complex dreams while being asleep for no more than 3-5 minutes. The human brain does weird things. So this is one of the more believable moments. Otherwise, absolutely great commentary. Waiting forward for more.

1:26:27 this point makes sense but there could also call for the possibility that whisperers roam because they live in the open with the walkers. So it’s likely that they eventually ended up in the same area as the main cast

Fun fact, the scene where Charol is hiding behind a car actually makes a bit more sense than you'd think. Cars are generally called "rolling coffins" in firefights, since bullets from a rifle will just straight up go through car doors, and even the back segments. Even so, fragments from rounds hitting the ground under the car are also dangerous. So them continuing to shoot isn't a terrible idea! What she did in that scene was actually really smart though, since even .50 cal bullets (very big and fast) have a hard time getting through the engine block, and the tires can stop some of the shrapnel. Hiding on the other side of the engine behind the tire like she did is just about the only good place to take cover behind a car.

Season 8 is criminally underrated imo. People say it’s the worst season of the show, but for me, it’s one of the best. It was non stop action in every episode. Every episode had me on the edge of my seat. It was cool seeing the group take the fight to Negan and Morgan going clear mode again.

It was a change of pace which I felt was good at the start. As I mentioned I felt 'action fatigue' set in around episode 4 though. The season had some superb moments towards the end.

99% of the hate comes from those who watched it week to week. When you break it up like that it's so damn boring. You NEED to binge watch it to get a sense of satisfaction. You also say it's one of the best because it's non stop action... why are you watching a drama series then?

One thing about the bad guys shooting at cars and not waiting is that in war, usually more bullets shot = more likely to win because of suppression fire and keeping the enemies head's down. Except they forgot our characters had plot armor

Yeah you can basically expect most uploads of this size to take a month. I work on my own and have a wife and son who I spend some quality time with so naturally I'm a bit slower than other creators

I agree Sasha was the wrong choice for the Rick pass out but the reason it couldn’t be Lori or Carl is he wouldn’t want to leave them again he had to go find his family

I honestly think Abraham (a leader of another group Rick had to compromise with for the greater good of everyone), Tyreese (the man who he accidentally chased away, beat up and later saved Judith's life multiple times) or even Beth (the girl who was someone the whole group protected and later worked hard to find and rescue) would have been better choices. They all go with the current struggles Rick is having: uniting people for the greater good (Abraham), relying on other people and giving them mercy (Tyreese), and finding and protecting his family (Beth) However I think I heard somewhere that Sasha's actress was the only one who said yes 😂

@@braydenschreiber5355 Yeah, but Glenn's actor sadly wants nothing to do with TWD anymore. Filming for the show gave him a existential crisis and now he refuses to do anything involving it. He's still friends with a lot of the actors, but he's been pretty firm in never coming back. Even skipping the finale event. He was actually supposed to be in that scene but said no 😭

@@llamaniaman4002😂that’s not true because abe and beth’s actors had voice cameos in that episode, sasha might’ve not be the best relationship wise with rick, but she represents sacrifice which she did for her death and what rick eventually did at the end of the episode

I remember being annoyed by his death at first, but on second watch I think it was the right time for him to go as it changed the conversation with Rick and Negan. His send-off montage was a sweet watch.
