For those who didn't understand. Varner KO'd himself going for the throw when his head slammed against the canvas. He was basically knocked out after that which is why he didn't defend the choke. Varner sadly retired after this fight which is sad because he is arguably one of the most underrated Lightweights in MMA history.

Meeting pro athletes is always pretty cool. I’ve been blessed to meet Drew Dober and he is the nicest athlete I’ve ever met. Humble, willing to teach, wants you to get better. Lauren Murphy and Elliot Marshall are two of the other athletes we get to see at Easton Training Center in Denver. Lauren stopped and had a twenty minute conversation with me the first time I met her, professor Elliot is constantly in the gym helping at every level. Very grateful for these experiences.

And i don't blame him honnestly. Dober is an atrocious match up for Paddy! Hit like a truck, heart, cardio, crazy chin, durability MAX, power power and power, brute force, brute strengh.. Paddy looked good in his last fight, his défense was better, good hands and obviously high level in grappling/bjj but i doubt that he could absord Drew's best punches during 15minutes!

Dober is a Savage. He is strong af. I'll never forget Islam's fight with him. I had already been following Islam super hard and I was SO fkn nervous about that fight. That's when I realized just how special Islam was. Drew has continued to evolve. He makes light work of these guys. I wish more people knew of this dude. He is a total badass.
