The attention to detail in Cobra Kai is very impressive. The big three, Josh, Jon, and Hayden are masters in balancing nostalgia with new storytelling. Hollywood should take notes from them.

Yknow I might sound crazy here but I think one of the main factors in Cobra Kai getting started was the bachelor party episode in HIMYM s8. William Zabka and Ralph Maccio would have become good friends again after the Bro Mitzvah episode in s8 of HIMYM. That might have led to them deciding to make a show based on what happens after the first 4 movies. (Idk, I might be looking too much into this)

you missed a really big easter egg/reference: When Johnny gives Miguel the first lesson, he says the exact same words that Kreese says to the Class when Johnny is looking to Daniel. There is another Easter egg. In Cobra Kai, Daniel visits a tomb. It is the tombstone of a mr. Miyagi. Only the truest of true fans will know that this is an actual reference to the original trilogy where Mr. Miyagi is Daniel's mentor.

in season 1 episode 2, johnny makes the same speech as kreese of "we do not train to be merciful here. mercy is for the week" blah blah. also just like in karate kid in that scene kreese asks "what is the problem mr. Lawrence" after the mercy speech. in cobra lai johnny goes "what is the problem mr. diaz" after the same speech

when Robbie says his middle name its Swayze because his mom loved Patrick Swayze also sam reading the back of a book which is the outsiders ralph was in the movie the outsiders with Patrick Swayze I just think its really fun that they included that.

YOU FORGOT ONE!!: I always remember Tommy screaming “get him a body bag!!!” Before Johnny fights Daniel in the final round. In the end Tommy ultimately gets the body bad when he does from his sickness!!

An Easter egg I found was in Season 2 Episode 10. For a split second, we see Sam hold up a book. The cover looks very accurate to the book, “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton. In the movie for “The Outsiders,” Ralph Macchio, aka Daniel LaRusso, plays Johnny Cade. Not sure if that was an Easter egg, but I thought that was kinda cool

Fun Fact: the 2 main characters in 'Cobra Kai' are named Daniel Larusso and Johny Lawrence, this is a fun reference to the two main characters names in 'The Karate Kid'

When Daniel went over to Miyagi's place to train in the first KK movie, there were a number of old classic cars there. Perhaps it is no coincidence that Daniel went on to become a car salesman in Cobra Kai.

Also, in S1E4 after Kyler throws Demetri's bag in the garbage, his friend says "I think he's gonna cry", same way Tommy says this to Dutch after he teases Daniel in the locker room before the tournament begins.

In the original movie when Johnny was fighting Daniel, Tommy said “put him in a body bag.” In season two, Johnny and his buddies take Tommy out of the hospital to ride motorcycles and camp out a night, Tommy was put in a body bag when they woke up and found he had passed.

When in Episode 1 of Cobra Kai, “Ace Degenerate” when Johnny defended Miguel from Kyler and his friends, Kyler locked Johnny in the throat and said “What’s the matter, having trouble breathing?”, Mike Barnes said that to Daniel in Karate Kid 3 when they fought at the tournament, he punched him continuously in the body and when he was knocked down, he said “What’s the matter sweetheart, having trouble breathing?” Hope you notice this, Netflix!
