+therisj urgh at one point they were essentially treating the JSA as extended JLA which is equal parts good and bad because while the JSA in some continuities was an inspiration to the JLA and sure was deserving of the teams respect and admiration they were nt pulling monitor duty in the watchtower as full time or active members. I think it may have been done to boost the relevance of the older charactersbut it kind of diluted the distinction of the classic nature of what the JSA was all about. The Spectre was certainly a member of the JSA but i would not classify him as having been more then a familiar figure in JLA. He was like Tom Hank's character on Family Ties.... he'd show up once in aa run, bad things would happen and we'd never talk much about it again. Kind of like when Frank Miller produces anything after 1995

+fuzzy128 he was in justice league unlimited, so was black canary, oliver queen as green arrow, vigilante, shining knight, wildcat, crimson avenger, longshadow and mr terrific. none of them were mentioned in the video, but they did say kinda because almost all dcu heroes have been in the justice league at some point

+S Clair no actually it's not when looked at within context. Alternate Wally hid amongst the then current team posing as what they believed was their Wally. So while he may have come from an alternate dimension /timeline he was on a mainstream team. Likewise Justice League Dark existed in the New 52 era as an offshoot team similar to previous off shoot teams like task force or extreme.

"The initial DC trinity did not found the original Justice League." THANK YOU! Every source I've seen lists them as the founders, but I read the original book and they were not there. Why did you leave out Black Canary though? She was a founding member of the original JLA and the leader after Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman all stepped down.

Well most versions of the main Justice League have them as the founders, it's only that 1 version where they weren't the founders

Black Canary is not really a founding member. She was made to fill the role retroactively after crisis in place of wonder woman

Terrence St. John Not according to the comic I read which was all about the founding of a new team called the Justice League of America. The heroes even came up with the name on the spot at a press conference, so it wasn't like they were copying anyone. The were originally just going to be called " The Justice League" but Black Canary, at the last second, added the "of America" at the end of it. These were all heroes who came together and believed they could be the next Justice Society. The original members were Green Lantern, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Black Canary, some human sidekicks and they were all secretly funded by Green Arrow. But for some odd reasons, every source I see says differently. I know I didn't imagine reading it but it confuses me to this day why no one else in the world has.

+Shady Doorags What book was that? That sounds like an alternate-universe thing or something. In publication history, the founding members were Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman. But Wonder Woman was only supposed to be the team's "secretary" and Batman and Superman barely ever featured in the stories themselves. The trinity has technically been members since the beginning, but didn't all become consistent, major players in the team since the 90s.

Andre Betita Ah, I have found the answers. Apparently it was called JLA Year One. It was a series written after post-crisis to reestablish the lore of the Justice League. Terrence was correct, Black Canary took over Wonder Woman's role despite not originally being on the team. The book was then retconned back to where Wonder Woman was apart of the team again without Black Canary. That explains everything. ... EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE!

Damien was never on it. The ray palmer and ryan choi atoms were easy misses tho. And waverider, bart allen, long shadow (who has pretty good screentime in the tv shows), and mr terrific

Yeah I know everyone has said this, but you forgot Green Arrow, the Atom, and Black Canary. But some people don't know that shining knight, vigilante, atom smasher, and Question were NOT official league members.

For some reason they missed out the 60's recruits: Green Arrow, Black Canary, the Atom etc and all of the JSA were made honorary JLA members, so that should also have gotten at least a mention Also just in case I forgot a few that weren't mentioned I looked it up on wiki... and they are basically, the same... like the same order and everything.. tbh it seems like they just went to the wikipedia page for JLA members and copied down the names...

what a Oliver queen green arrow I know that he was member of the league later on in the sixties and he was also member of new 52's justice league. Catwoman was also a member of justice during the new earth era with Oracle.
