Me and my dad used to play through these games right from 1 all the way to nexus, unfortunately he didn't live to see rift apart but i know he would have loved and when I started/played/finished it, I just cried wishing he could have seen it.

I got the PS3 Slim back in '09 bundled with A Crack in Time. So my first PS3 game ever. It will always hold a special place in my heart

Crack in time has unskippable cutscenes, the beginning drags on and on. It’s not funny. Idk if it gets better but it’s hard to get into

Crack in Time was also my #1 by far. I’m not going to rate Rift apart over Tools of Destruction or vice versa because Rivet’s parts were far superior to Ratchet’s. I actually would prefer the sequel to be 100% Rivet.

I absolutely adore this series, even during it's highs and lows. I grew up playing so many Ratchet & Clank games and still do to this very day. The R&C series holds a very special place in my heart ❤️

same here man, i absolutely adore the series too, even with the highs and lows, i grew up playing alot of Ratchet & Clank games, both on the PS2 and PS3 and even the Doom 2 mod on the PC, the R&C series belong both in the museum and in all of our hearts 💖

2 will always remain undefeated for me even tho alot of people always say 3. 3 had the most fun weapons, the quark game and neferious ofcourse but it was a serious downgrade against 2. No grindrails, barely multiple paths, little enemy variaty, no races, the arena's way less memorable, and like 3 to 5 planets that are just the multiplayer missions so very repetitive. Still one of the best of the series. The original 3 and deadlocked will always remain undefeated for me but 2 will always be the best in my eyes

Going commando has been my favorite since a kid on the ps2, i had and played all 4 games back then. Just replayed th both recently and its better than UYA imo. Yes 3 has nefarious and a better plot, but the planets were dull(comparitivly) and the enimies lacked variety, 2 was is just more fun imo.

Yup just the villain was lacking but the second one was a complete change compared to the 1st game kinda like doom 16 to doom eternal and God of war 18 and Ragnarok

Ratchet and Clank will always be one of Sony's flagship franchise. Really hope we'll get even more adventures with our favourite Lombax and Robot.

My favorite one is the first game. Something about it idk I just love it. The clunkier controls and the enemy placement gave it a little more strategy than the chaos shootemup gameplay in the later games. Plus the humor and the edginess. Ugh perfect.

The Original Ratchet & Clank Trilogy (Along with Ratchet:Deadlocked) are my all time top favorites. Oh the precious PS2 memories i have with those games. The Future Trilogy are my second favorites. And Ratchet & Clank:Remake on the PS4 is also really good and also one of my favorites.

I grew up with the R&C series; it is near and dear to me, and it is one of my favorite series of all time! Even moreso, Up Your Arsenal remains one of my all-time favorite games!

Ratchet & Clank has always been one of my favorite PlayStation icons since my childhood the original trilogy the future Saga into the Nexus and Rift apart are all my favorites in the series and I hope we get these games and a couple of new ones on the PS5 since we haven't had so many Ratchet & Clank games on one Playstation system since the PS2 and PS3

It has been hard to decide, but between Rift Apart and A Crack In Time, the story in so charming in ACIT, that it gave it the edge in it being my favorite game. The cool recap intro, the setting, the characters, the galaxy "map" with flying the ship around, the lore, the ending. ACIT has it all!

Ratchet and Clank is my all time favorite video game franchise. I love everything about it. I love the sci-fi theme,the planets in each game are so beautiful and gorgeous. I especially love the jungle and snow themed planets. The music is absolutely iconic. Enough said. I love the character writing,the gameplay is so fun, the humor is hilarious, and the voice acting is phenomenal. I especially love the fictional species, especially in the ps3 era. Best franchise ever! Great list. I think my favorite one is Tools Of Destruction. That's an underrated gem. I adore Emperor Tachyon❤

I started playing ratchet and clank since the ps4 version one, now I have rift apart and I am so in love with this character and their adventures. But a rift apart is so amazing graphically that I feel that I am playing a Pixar movie.

Fun fact: while Lombaxes may look and sound like they're based off a mix between a cat and a wombat, they're actually related to neither and their closest relatives would be civets and mongooses.

Feel out of loop since A crack in time. Didn’t really buy the games after that but I remember playing Up your Arsenal sooo much as a young kid. Re living these moments and seeing the ratchet and clank games I use to play makes me want to continue playing them. I also think Tools of destruction was heavily underrated. Definitely my 2nd favourite behind Up your Arsenal. I still remember the first time I ever played at my mates house back when I was 8/9. Ironically enough he lived on a street that was my last name. Man the memories as a kid you cherish and plant in your heart. Hoping and wishing that you didn’t take being a kid for granted.

Up your Arsenal is definitely the best Ratchet and Clank game in the series so far. The ship hub was awesome to explore too. Spent so many hours just goofing around and exploring that hub as a kid, customising my ship, etc. Rift Apart was average at best to me, it was pretty to look at but was 100% just a tech demo for the early launch of the PS5 to sell more consoles.

In terms of spin offs I'd just play nexus. Can't really speak for quest for booty but have got no interest in all 4 one and ffa. Cannot recommend 3 more though. The games a fucking masterpiece imo. Also the future games are worth playing and rift apart is if you can get a ps5.

It’s good know that people consider Rift Apart a top 3 R&C game. I haven’t had the chance to get a PS5 yet so It’s gonna be exciting when I eventually get one. I feel like the last great R&C game for me was A Crack In Time, so I’d like to play an entry that lives up that or the likes of R&C 2 or 3.

Into the next is an extremely underrated game! It’s my second favourite game for the ps3 after a crack in time. Nothing will ever top the original ps2 trilogy however but the future saga comes close second!

Personal favorite is still Going Commando. A different Galaxy, more weapons, killer soundtrack and I mean especially for testing facility at Dobbo planet. Yes UYA did everything better but it felt more arena and mini tasks focused. Not that I dislike it. Also it felt cheap to bring back blackwater city on planet Rilgar without getting to explore. Instead it's a defend your position mission at the galactic rangers outpost. All three games I had a major blast 100% all gold/titanium/platinum bolts, skill points and trophies. While we were children when RC came out on PS2, we as adults can still go back and relieve it. Ps4 I don't think will age so well. It's for kids, and when they grow up, they will know it was only enjoyable as a kid. And I blame the blasted movie.

Ratchet and Clank was the second game we had on the ps2 (Jak and Daxter being the first) and is a series I revisit once a year. I just love it. That being said, All 4 One is a fantastic game and for me ranks much higher on the list. The visuals and comic interactions between characters are fantastic 😅

The remastered HD collection of the first three games need to come PS4/PS5 and/or be on PlayStation Now. The newer games will never replace the the first three, as good as they are

Yes! Up Your Arsenal is my all-time favorite R&C game! Going Commando is also great. It would be sweet to have the first 3 games remastered on PlayStation. Kind of like what they did with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy :D

The Ratchet games are great. I really want them to conclude the plot threads that started the Future saga. When Rift Apart was announced, I was hoping we'd find Talwyn's dad, Max, but that plot thread has been hanging for 15 years now.

Rift apart, up your Arsenal & A crack in time are definitely top 3 by far! A crack in time is still my favorite, up your arsenal second place & rift apart third. Nefarious being the final boss of all those 3 games just shows he’s the best villain in the entire series and I hope we’ll get more of them!

@@arrownoir i understand. Maybe it’s just because they don’t focus as much on Ratchet & Clank as they did with previous games. This was more a Rivet-focused story, but I still liked it a lot and especially Emperor Nefarious. But the Future series are definitely goated!

For me it's 3. It nailed it in basically every way imo. The weapons alone jesus. The variety is just brilliant and imo weapon wise nothing has beat it and barely come close tbh. Much as I do love the series.

3 indeed had the most fun weapons, the quark game and neferious ofcourse but it was a serious downgrade against 2. No grindrails, barely multiple paths, little enemy variaty, no races, the arena's way less memorable, and like 3 to 5 planets that are just the multiplayer missions so very repetitive. Still one of the best of the series. The original 3 and deadlocked will always remain undefeated for me but 2 will always be the best in my eyes

@@Treetops27 that's why i say barely. 2 had alot of exploration options from the start you had like 2 or 3 routes. Only truly memorable multiroute map was daxxx and the spaceport one with the ninjas. It was way more linear then the previous ones

@@kizaruthegreat every level in UYA has multiple paths (except for Rilgar, Aridia, Koros and boss stages obviously). Some paths are inaccessible during certain points in the story. If you've ever played Jak 2/3 it's very similar. Also planets like Rilgar and Aridia are intended to be secret item paths, not full levels. UYA is not structured like the previous games, it's more like an open world game without the open world.

@@Treetops27 also mate, if a path is closed till you progressed far enough it's not multiple paths. Maybe you misunderstood me but i meant with getting a choice at the beginning where to go. If i must 1st do 1 path to then go the next i don't have a choice. It is still one path cause you have to follow a specific route. Either replay them all or watch the vid i send and you will see the downgrade of it in many perspectives. People usually forget about it cause it had multiplayer and didn't think about anything else anymore

2016 is the best. Stays true enough to the original but makes some changes. But ppl dont like change so how do you get long time fans to like it? Make it a retelling of the original through Quarks mind. The fact that Quark narrates it makes the inaccuracies make perfect sense. And long time fans know Quark would alter it. Classic gameplay, good gameplay, great graphics, similar enough to be a retelling/reboot but different enough to allow the developers to make changes, all explained perfectly by having Quark tell it as he would true to character. While 2016 is the best. Deadlocked is my favorite. 1st game i ever played online. The story was a nice change from the original trilogy. Great gunplay, and the quality of the multiplayer for its time when some ppl were just starting to play online was great. 11/10 online experience (for its time) hackers and all

No way. I have played the original trilogy, deadlocked, size matters, agent secret clank and rift apart, and 2016 is definitely one of the worst. The gameplay and graphics are obviously better than the original, but the storytelling, the humour and platforming were better in the original. The 2016 reimagining feels shallow. It does not stay true to the oirginal at all. After years of not playing any ratchet and clank games since the era of the PlayStation 2, I decided to play ratchet and clank 2016 because it was the only one on the ps4 and it was such a disappointment. Rift apart is a better game if you want something more recent.

the undisputed top 2 in my opinion are the original and going commando. the better between these 2 depends if u like third person shooters or platforming more. The original having better platforming and tactical gameplay and going commando having better shooting mechanics and weapons. Both games do great in these 2 avenues regardless. the third game despite being great in its own right still lacked in these 2 departments in comparison. This is due to the short development this game had as well as having to make a multiplayer mode alongside the campaign

For me personally I'd would probably rank the games that I've played as follows; #1: Going Commando #2: Up Your Arsenal #3 & 4: A Crack in Time or 2016 in whichever order (the latter strictly because of gameplay, as I dislike elements of the story like others do) #5 & 6: Deadlocked or Into The Nexus in whichever order (the former mostly because of nostalgia, the latter because of the atmosphere) #7: Tools of Destruction #8: Ratchet & Clank (hasn't aged nearly as well - and doesn't have as much replay value - as Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal imo) #9: All 4 One #10: Full Frontal Assault Enjoyed all of them, ngl. I haven't played Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, Quest For Booty, or Rift Apart yet so I obviously cannot comment on those for now. :P

I remember getting quest for booty on Christmas in 2011. Legit finished the whole thing in like 1hr and 30 😂. Was so disappointed realising it was that short.

A Crack in Time is hands down one of the best in the series. I like it more than Rift Apart which is the most recent game. All 4 One I didn't bother to play.
