Spirit Temple from Ocarina Of Time. It’s my favorite song, but is sad since it’s the last temple. (Unless you beat Spirit Temple before Shadow Temple) The song makes me imagine an abandoned desert.

Ocarina of time is an excellent source of sad songs... However, Mydna's theme is the most melancholic from this list

Grandma's theme always breaks me because it always makes me remember my grandma who passed away over four years ago. She was like Link's grandma, she was always worried for me, even when she couldn't take care of herself and I helped my mom to take care of her. I always told her that she did enough for me in her life and now it was my turn to return a bit of her kindness. She couldn't walk and lost her legs due to bad circulation, I carried her to anywhere she needed to go and I told and promised her that as long I was the one carrying her she won't touch the ground ever again, and she never did. Even after four years passed I still miss her.

Nothing beats the Song of Healing! Such a sorrowful and, yet, hopeful melody… Always my go-to soundtrack for the introspective moments of life! ❤

I don’t know why, but Fi’s gratitude reminds me a lot of the ending to Spirited Away for some reason. It’s sad but beautiful.

Fi's goodbye always makes me tear up. As a character and gameplay mechanic she might not have been the greatest, but knowing she's supposed to be a being uncapable of understanding or feeling emotions (essentially a robot or AI), the fact that by the end of the journey, that she's starting to feel things, its just very sad... especially knowing Link has been with her for a while, him also finally realizing that their relationship grew without proper understanding how it works. But also just the overall theme of having to say goodbye forever. Very powerful.

The track from the ancient zora cistern in Tears of the Kingdom hits hard everytime I hear it. So nostlagic, it reminds me of how it felt to explore zora‘s domain in Ocarina of Time for the first time as a child.

Also , the Champion's Ballad Theme always gets me . I remember I cried so hard when they took their first photo together without them realizing that would be their last . 😭 Still getting my eyes teary just remembering it .

I'm not trying to promote anything, but Brock Hewitt makes the best Zelda fan-remix. The lullaby remix of TP's courage, OOT's Deku Tree, and Zelda's lullaby brings an actual tear to make eye.

It’s not connected to any story beats but the theme to the Riverside levels from Tri Force Heroes, if listened to on its own makes it very moving and melancholic and IMO is the most underrated theme in the series because of this.

From my Childhood, *Ocarina of Time* has a Excellent Collection Source of Sad Songs. However, of course, *Midna's Lament* from *Twilight Princess* is definitely one of THE Most Saddest Songs of All Time there is. Feel so sorry for Midna, for what she's going through in *Twilight Princess* Game. 😔😞😟😢

Ocarina of time title theme has a big context behind it, I always remember a stoic hero who lost his friends and childhood just to save his land, he was sealed seven years just to see his natal land completely ruined by the same guy who ruined his life, the same guy who appeared in his nightmares, Ganondorf. And when he saves his land and goes back to the past to save his land again, he loses the only and last friend who supported him in all his adventure, he tries to search him but he ends in an alternative universe in a fight both physical and psychological against Skull Kid to save a land called Termina, when he saves it, he continues his search but he never found him, he was filled of regrets of being unable to give lessons of his life to his descendants and he becomes a Spirit, he was never remembered as a Hero (atleast in the Kid Timeline) and Hyrule was flooded and forgotten in his original timeline (Adult Timeline), however, the story of the hero became a legend in this timeline.

I think the closing credits scenes of Ocarina of Time had some very emotional music, with an aura of melancholy. Same with the ending of Super Mario 64, but, well, that’s not a Zelda game.Lol.😎

Fun fact about miphas and sidons themes... They actually say their names in the notes..(MI FA) for mipha and (SI DO) for sidon Neat huh?

Ocarina of Time Main Theme, Giant's Theme Majora's Mask, Farewell Hyrule King and Grandma's theme The Wind Waker HD, The Ballad of Wind Fish Link's Awakening Remake, Fi's Gratitude, Our Children Taken, Midna's Lament Twilight Princess Mipha's Theme Breath of the Wild are the most Saddest, but the Beautiest Zelda songs too defienitily Fi's Gratitude, Our Children Taken and Midna's Lament from my first and favourite Zelda games Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess defienitily Twilight Princess has the Saddest and Beauties Songs and Midna is my favourite Zelda character of all time. Music is the most Important thing in the Video Games, music makes Games and music defienitily The Main Theme is my reason why The Legend of Zelda is my favourite video game serie and can't wait i'm so excited for The Legend of Zelda (The Legend of Link :D) Echoes of Wisdom what looks like Link's Awakening Remake and LOVE that, it will have a beautiful songs! ❤

I was smiling during Fi's last moments. She was so annoying and pissed me off every time my Wii remote's battery was low. She is my second least favourite part about Skyward Sword just behind the imprisoned.

Mipha’s theme and Fi’s Farewell are a cut above the rest in terms of best sad songs. Both have the power to actually make me feel emotional at will. Midna’s Lament is a fine song, but a bit overrated imo
