Tbh, I'm really curious how the Cross Guild will end up affecting this. What if Buggy, Luffy and Shanks all show up to laugh tale at the same time? Or what if Cross Guild is involved in a davy back fight? The first one had a very carnival theme to it and that would fight Buggy's style perfectly.

I really want Cross Guild to, in some way, be connected to the Elbaf arc. Like, Mihawk and Buggy both have such strong connections to Shanks, and I think it would be really funny and in-character if Shanks issued a Davy Back fight with Buggy (as well as Luffy, ofc) just because he really wanted to get Buggy on his crew.

I’m more excited for the conversation between Luffy and Blackbeard than the actual fight. I remember thinking Luffy’s true dream will be revealed during their confrontation to show the difference between the two.

It has to be to throw the biggest party the world has ever seen. Thats something child Luffy and adult Roger could come up with which other people would find completely ridiculous. Also thematicly it fits very well. After every big arc the Strawhats have a huge party so why not end the whole story with the biggest party ever. I really think thats it.

4:15 Kuma's history has been such a huge part of this arc and he has stated his desire to be like Nika. I think even if Luffy might get the final blow, that Kuma will be a significant factor in Saturn's defeat.

I really like the theory that Kuma pushes out all of the pain and exhaustion Luffy's incurred thus far (He's fought Lucci, S-Bear, and Kizaru thus far this arc) and takes it upon himself, thus allowing Luffy to stand back up and fight Saturn. This would also be a great throwback to Thriller Bark with Kuma getting his own "nothing happened" moment.

My take: Luffy will not take down Imu, Blackbeard will. At that point, Blackbeard will finally have the top 3 fruits of every category (logia: darkness, paramecia: quakes, zoan: whatever imu has). Given the recurring theme of "inherited will" and the ushering in of a new age, it makes perfect thematic sense for a new/modern big-bad to usurp the throne as well, and there's no one more fitting for that role than Blackbeard. I mean, imagine the despair Blackbeard would bring to the world. He'd use the Mother Flame or the ancient weapon or whatever to destroy literally everything, even more so than Imu. We saw during the marineford arc that Blackbeard wants to destroy EVERYTHING, especially the marines. That means he has just as much motivation to challenge the WG as the SHP. He's also the only antagonist explicitly implied to have a strength-of-will comparable to Luffy (i guess Wyper kinda counts, but Oda wrote him out of the story lol). Thematically, it makes just as much sense for him to be the one that takes down Imu. After all, Blackbeard is Luffy's foil and a fellow member of the D clan. His objective is to replace the Celestial Dragons' rule with "absolute darkness", while Luffy is setup to replace the Celestial Dragons' rule with "the dawn of the world". You know what? Lemme go mask off. Blackbeard will ALSO lose an eye in his fight against Imu, and become the first pirate in One Piece to wear an eyepatch. You heard it here first, folks.

I have this vision in my head of Luffy and Usopp having inverse arcs in Elbaf. Luffy and Shanks hit it off fantastically as you'd expect, whereas Usopp has an unexpectedly bad reunion with his dad. But as the arc, and likely Davy Back Fight goes ender way, these relationships reverse. With Usopp having a Heart-to-Heart with Yasopp, them both coming to a better understanding of each other, and making up; meanwhile Luffy and Shanks have the opposite, a Heart-to-Heart where Shanks makes it clear the expectations he has for Luffy, the "destiny" of his Nika power, and how he's been preparing the world for Luffy's rise, all for this go rather poorly with Luffy who isn't about being controlled or set upon a path, he made that much clear at Whiskey Peak. This could lead to more heated battle between Luffy and Shanks. The winner choosing Luffy's destiny.

I'm still holding out hope for Kid. If there's one trait of his that's been highlighted above all others, it's his determination and refusal to give up no matter how many set backs he faces. He was defeated by the Red Hair pirates and lost an arm, but then went on to raid Big Mom and seemingly successfully take what he wanted (presumably a Poneglyph rubbing). He was betrayed by Apoo and crushed by Kaido, but his spirit was never broken and he eventually joined the alliance that broke the power of Big Mom and Kaido. He was once again thoroughly crushed by the Red Hair Pirates, this time by Shanks himself. However, there's nothing conceptually different about this defeat vs all the others he's faced. No matter how many times you break Kid apart, he'll just keep putting himself back together. I think that's a very cool concept for a rival for Luffy.

i am a blackpilled kid fan. if oda hadn't shown his crew giving up the poneglyphs + the destruction of his ship, I would still have hope. Oda went out of his way to nuke his potential, and of course there's that damning SBS quote. I want to believe but I am far gone at this point. Always liked Kid.

Personally I want kuma to take the last hit on Saturn. Kuma’s pain throughout his entire life should be so massive that Saturn would get destroyed by it. Kuma’s powers might allow Saturn’s soul to eviscerated, he’s a priest after all. And Saturn clearly has a demonic presence.

If the Shanks davy back fight is what happens wouldn't it be interesting if he picks Luffy to join his crew in the first round. The strawhats would have to fight to get him back thus bringing Luffy's promise of gathering a crew stronger than Shanks' to fruition. It could also be Robin because so far they have no way to read Poneglyphs and this would make it impossible for Luffy to reach Laughtale.

Personally I'm more of the mind that Blackbeard will be Luffy's final major opponent. Blackbeard seems to be THE perfect foil to Luffy. 1. created a crew based off of selfish desire that will disband as soon as they don't find each other profitable while Luffy took in crewmembers with their own dreams and formed an unbreakable family 2. Luffy is the "Sun God Nika" and Blackbeard has the "Dark Dark" fruit like cmon. 3. They both want to be pirate king, but it's already been established that "you're not him" by whitebeard while Luffy has been told "he's the one" by half a dozen characters now "Kuma, Rayleigh, Saturn, etc.) 4. Blackbeard seems to have some grand plan to rule over the world like a tyrant and Luffy wants to be free from responsibility(pretty much the exact opposite) 5. BB likes cherry pie. Luffy doesn't 6. etc. Blackbeard is the Character with the most connection to Luffy when it comes to theming and would be the more interesting final fight compared to Imu. I hope Oda wants the final battle to be the most meaningful one rather than just a box to check.

Kid!!! Such a bittersweet mention. I sure do hope he gets something good. It’s been long enough since wano and the one tap that I can muster some hope again. Oda paying good attention to killer during Wano without really showing the character stuff that makes kid worth following is another reason to believe we might get something out of him. But yeah hardest character to be a fan of since Chad from Bleach.

I actually think Blackbeard will be the final boss instead of Imu. Narratively I think it'll work better because after Imu is defeated and the World Government is overthrown, a new era will emerge and its direction will be decided by another 'crossroads of fate' between Luffy and Blackbeard. The world will either reach it's long awaited dawn or be plunged into another even darker night. I think it'll play out with Luffy defeating Imu, and Blackbeard swooping in after stealing Imu's fruit in classic Blackbeard scheming fashion. Blackbeard will finally get his foreshadowed third fruit power, presumably a mythical zoan completing the trio of logia, paramecia, and zoan powers, and this final act will not only parallel the end of Marineford but Ace's battle at Banaro Island as well. Light vs Darkness, Sun (god) vs Night. As a tangent I'd really like to see Luffy fight Aokiji at some point. I think it'll be fitting not only for Luffy to defeat all three admirals from pre-timeskip but Aokiji is still one of the only characters to beat Luffy one on one who Luffy hasn't had a rematch with yet.

BB isnt this overwhelming powerful foe that could threaten the world, he’s just another pirate with little to no significance in the grander world so it wouldn’t make sense for him to the ultimate antagonist over the guy who has been the big bad for 800 years. Also if BB comes after imu that implies that zoro’s final fight will be shiryu which is evidently bankrup, we’ve seen what shiryu could do and there’s no conceivable way that he would be the final opponent for zoro over a gorosei or even an admiral

I'm excited for Shanks vs. Luffy. I think it will start off with a celebration and cheerful reunion, followed by one of them challenging the other to a fight. We know Luffy wants to defeat Shanks, he just didn't want Shanks to be first.

I doubt Luffy will fight Shanks. I see Shanks playing kinda similar like Ace in Luffy’s development. Shanks and Blackbeard will fight since it’s been stated that they have beef. If Blackbeard wins then Luffy will lose his shit, considering he also took down Garp and played a part in Ace’s death.

I think you laying out just how imperative it is that Luffy, as nika, be the one to defeat Saturn lays out just what the revelation that shocks the world will be at the end of all this. I think that in defeating Saturn, Luffy will make a clear declaration of war against the Celestial Dragons themselves and start a revolutionary spark that every figurehead in this story has been dreading since he defeated Crocodile. He might even literally declare war against them as he did against the WG and Big Mom, especially if Bonney does end up joining and it’s her dream to end the CD’s rule.

I think Sabo will be the one to take on Akainu. That would make things come full circle since Akainu killing Ace is what brought his memories back and he regrets not being there. He inherited Ace's fruit as well and it would be somewhat poetic for the 3 brothers to have each encountered him and for the fruit that Akainu scoffed at to be the one that takes him down. Thoughts on this?

I feel that there might be multiple match-ups for several characters. For example, Sakazuki may fight Luffy first, then Sabo (replacing Ace), and finally Koby (the Future of the Marines). This would cover all of his thematic framings.

I'll bet Sabo ends it. Blue flames burn hotter than magma, so Sabo doesn't have to worry about his punches. Maybe Koby and Sabo team up, which shows the world Koby a hero of the Marines with Sabo a Revolutionary versus Akainu the representation of a lot of the evil in the Marines.

@@user-kb3lb5nz2j makes more sense for the 10 Straw Hats to fight either the 10 Titanic Captains of Blackbeard, or to fight Imu + 9 God's Knights. Akainu and the Admirals make more sense for the Revolutionary Army, Cross Guild, or Blackbeard to hit when he goes after Imu. Also have the other Gorosei who could matchup with anyone too, so it should be interesting. I do like the idea the OP had of fighting all three though, just not the order. I hope Oda uses it, and I'm sorry I didn't say that in my original reply. I just was pointing out the redemption of Ace, by his own Devil Fruit and his brother is too fitting to not do it. [Not head cannon, you're more than welcome to throw out theories for the fun of it too. But let's keep the attacks down if we're talking theories to a fictional story.]

While a Davy Back fight would be interesting, it doesn't NEED to take place between the Straw Hats and Red Hair Pirates because it already has fulfilled it's narrative purpose in the form of the Rocks Pirates. The Rocks Pirates crew was said to be formed by a Davy Back fight on Hachinosu. Which makes the most sense why the most uncooperative strong-willed people on earth would agree to fly under one flag. I can't really see Shanks or Luffy legitimately losing crew member so idk how necessary it would be to take place again

My take: I don’t see Elbaf being a fighting arc as much as it will be a training arc for luffy, learn the highest level of haki from shanks, yasopp helping usopp and making him a brave warrior of the sea etc. I also definitely think the davy fight thing is relevant but it seems more like a buggy/ Blackbeard type thing to do. I see Akainu fighting dragon and there being a combined effort between dragon, luffy, and possibly someone else in fighting the gorosei and imu, all of the akainu and world gov might all happen at once.

I am certain the final fight for Luffy in the manga won't be Imu, but rather, Koby. They promised to duke each other out once they achieve their dreams at the very start, so it would be fitting to cap off the post-end saga with a clash between them, much like Garp and Roger.

The further we go in the story the less likely I see a Luffy vs Akainu fight. I suggest Sabo vs Akainu. Hear me out... 1 - They have virtually the same emotional stakes: It'd be cruel to say that Luffy's and Ace's bonds are way stronger than Sabo and Ace's. Plus, he "inherited" the Mero Mero no Mi and Luffy stated, that ONLY he was to inherit the fruit, passing on a duty to Sabo to uphold Ace's legacy. 2 - Oda loves his inversions: Logically, it's obvious... Magma > Fire. That's why it'd be naratively strong to have this belief flipped. 3 - The person Akainu hates the most is Dragon! The person Sabo owes the most to and most likely has immense "family" love for is Dragon. It'd be fitting to have him step in and defend Dragon's honor. 4 - Another inversion: Wouldn't it be ironic to have Akainu defeated by a guy whose attacks all sound very Celestial Dragon - like while all his life he served exactly those?

@@firefistace5230 Imu is a “better kaguya” I completely get that sentiment, but it still doesn’t make it good. Imu was revealed over 900 chapters into the story, which is last minute (and there’s still no animosity on luffys end towards him). I don’t have an issue with Imus character, I would just rather he be defeated by someone other than Luffy (Dragon, BB, etc). At the very least, imu can be a penultimate villain and have Luffy/BB fight for the world they want to create.

I don't believe Saturn will be defeated at Egghead if only because in a thematic sense the straw hats objective is to run away, but if Saturn is defeated no vice admiral`s or horde of marines could win against the Pacifista (who would be back at vegapunk`s control) and the rest of the Straw Hat`s, plus if Luffy deals with Saturn what is the Ancient Robot going to do, it was set up to help them escape by holding Saturn back or launching the Sunny away. Also, in a logical sense even if Luffy goes back to 100% the time limit still exists, so unless Saturn lasts less time against Gear 5 than Kizaru (and far less then Kaido) it wouldn't make sense for Luffy, having not completely mastered the power yet, to win.

Luffy can return to gear 5 form immediately and continue fight. As fight progress Luffy will master his new form and that's how the story goes on.

I don't think Luffy will defeat Akainu, maybe they'll exchange a few blows, but I think Sabo will be the one to really fight him. Luffy isn't the kind of person to go for revenge, and he already finished grieving over Ace's death and moved on, while Sabo still has regrets over not being there at Marineford, he's the one that inherited Ace's will and power. Not just that,, but Akainu's ideals are complete opposits to Sabos': Akainu thinks your upbringing makes you who you are, that's why he wanted to execute Ace for being Roger's son, while Sabo rejected his noble upbringing to make his own path. Akainu's line "fire cannot defeat magma" also seems like the kind of line that needs to be proven wrong at some point (like when a villain says "I am the strongest", "nobody can defeat me")

I like the idea of putting Kumas memory bubble in the ancient giant and fighting Saturn. But if that's Kumas memory bubble, we know the bubbles return to where they came from and Kumas otw to Egghead. So we're probably gonna see Kuma get his memory back and say some words to Bonney and then Android 16 himself... I'm crying already.

Another aspect of Luffy vs AkaInu as PK vs FA I find very interesting is the conversation between Ace and Akainu. He disrespected White beard, but respected Roger because he achieved the status of PK. If they happen to face off after Luffy becomes PK, Akainu we have no choice but to respect him and take the fight seriously ultimately going all out for an epic battle.

And I find it hard to believe they’ll have a fight where Akainu is treated as a warm up opponent so I can’t even entertain the idea of them only fighting because of the history when there’s an obvious more suitable opponent

If Luffy gets even stronger than he is now Akainu gets destroyed. Also where are you getting that Shanks doesn’t low dif Akainu when he almost killed Kizaru within seconds and yes that feat is canon Oda was the executive producer and script reviewer for a film specifically promoting Shanks. Kizaru in Egghead would have gotten owned if Luffy had been using king’s coating+advanced ryou Base Luffy using king’s coat+advanced ryou was bringing it to hybrid Kaido. Meaning Kizaru would have had to use his awakening just to keep up which would be mooted soon as Luffy uses Gear 4. And in case you haven’t realized Kizaru is the same strength as Akainu. This idea Akainu and Aokiji are equal and way ahead of Kizaru just because they happened to fight has 0 evidence. If anything you could argue Kizaru is slightly ahead of Aokiji. Perhaps they were introduced weakest to strongest, Kizaru matches Marco Aokiji Jozu, Kizaru clean at the end of MF Aokiji multiple scuff marks he didn’t have after facing Jozu meaning he got them after. Nor does any of his feats look inferior. And going further most likely Zoro is gonna fight Green Bull and Sanji Yellow Monkey. Meaning Green Bull who according to most of the community is the weakest Admiral (based off nothing) is actually the 2nd strongest and Shanks embarrassed him as well in the Manga In SBS 83 Oda strongly implied Kaido is stronger than Akainu by a comfortable margin and Luffy surpassed Kaido already. None of wha happened before their 3rd fight matters because Kaido himself said he acknowledged Luffy by then and wanted to prove he’s superior. By the community’s logic Kaido was trying to prove he’s stronger than someone he already proved he was stronger than makes 0 sense pure agenda/bias. The fight ends with a literal panel that only exists to tell us Luffy has surpassed him

Luffy vs Blackbeard is the only fight I'm truly looking forward too. Akainu serves as a great opponent too but the more time passes the more he seems like a revolutionary army opponent. fingers crossed Oda can go all out and completely focus on the Luffy vs Blackbeard fight without moving away to other things.

My take: - Blackbeard is the main opponent to get to the One Piece - Akainu will fight Luffy but not in a final battle (final fight for Akainu will be against Dragon IMO) - Imu is the main opponent for Luffy to take down the WG - Shanks will be more of a rite of passage. A Davey back fight to get back the Strawhat from Shanks, because there is no way Luffy doesn't have the hat as he becomes the Pirate King. After the Red-Haired pirates lose they will abandon their pursuit of the One Piece and join in an alliance with the Strawhat Pirates against the WG. Or the Red-Haired pirates will fight the BB pirates and lose. Many options here.

@@elsa9026 I think Luffy will definitely meet Shanks. And after he "defeats" Shanks the Red-haired pirates will either lose with Shanks dying or he won't die and just be defeated, maybe captured. This would serve to set up Luffy vs Blackbeard even more. If the Red-haired pirates do survive they will help the Strawhats in the final war. And if Dragon shows up in Egghead it would set up the Strawhats joining forces with the Revs in the final war, since Luffy would meet Dragon.

Nah on the Blackbeard take. Blackbeard will become King of the World - the forbidden taboo - and Luffy taking down Blackbeard will be the same as taking down the world government. It would be so weird having a character like Imu as a later opponent than Imu. We have no investment in Luffy v Imu cause Luffy doesn’t know Imu and doesn’t care. There’s no buildup to that. It’s more likely Sabo and Dragon would “take down” Imu. Or Blackbeard himself would do it.

About the Shanks/Davy Back theory, it honestly baffles me how few people point to Buggy and Cross Guild as the participants for a potentially end game Davy Back fight. Who parallels Foxy and his cobbled together crew more than Buggy and Cross Guild? I think this is staring us straight in the face, especially with his declaration about going for the One Piece and his failing upward trajectory that could unsarcastically land him at the throne of the pirate king, if only in name/notoriety

After the raid fiasco I stopped tuning in to your takes, but am glad to give you a try again for this moments chapter 1100! I think you’re right that luffy should already be king of the pirates by the time he fights Imu, although Oda-sama has said directly that when luffy gets the One Piece the manga will end. So maybe luffy defeats Blackbeard and any other pirates defying him, maybe akainu before or after Blackbeard. Then luffy is finally arriving at laugh tale and Imu appears at laugh tale. We can imagine by the time akainu’s dead, Mari Joie may already be collapsing to destroy Fishman island , the world govt may finally be haunted in its basic functioning, and if Imu is such a secret, luffy might never hear about Imu until the day they meet. But ur def right that Blackbeard gets killed before Imu is fought

Idk if luffy will fight akainu. I think he’s mourned and passed through what happened. I don’t think he’s the revenge type. Especially after 2 years. He only goes after someone if they’re going after his same goal, or they hurt his friends in the moment. I think if anything he works with akainu to fight imu towards the end

I always felt like akainu is Sabo's fight not Luffy's. While luffy have an antagonistic relationship with akainu I feel like Sabo would be even more angry than Luffy and also he has the same devil fruit that ace had and the one that akainu mocked for being weaker than his fruit. and more than that the revolutionary army is the main antagonist to the marines and the government so it's only natural that they get some fights with the marines.

Oda has no time to do 5 really good fight of Luffy. Otherwise the other charcters won't have fights. Luffy has in max 2 or 3 major fights. He prob won't fight Shanks. I time people are severily understimating the time left for the story, Oda has no time, to bring Kid back for the race, He might come back as an ally but he already lost his chance to become PK, he wont retrieve his poneygliphs back. I hope im wrong because I really liked Kid.

I think there is still going to be a 4 way Davy back fight, or a free for all battle royale in either elbaf or LaughtTale, that way, zoro fights mihawk, luffy fight everyone, and gets the One piece. and then is crowned as the true and absolute king of the pirates. Otherwise, I would kind of feel weird if he defeats Shanks (then we would all know he is the strongest pirate, but still no "King") then blackbeard (which then we would have defeated all the strongest pirates, but still would be "King") and then is eclared 'King' until the moment he claims the One piece. I dont know, if would feel kind of weird, and since now we have had an arc were luffy fights 2 Yonko, going back to 1, would be less 'epic'.

We don't know how much of his crew Kaido rolled up with, the only thing we can fairly assume is that Kaido showed up with a force that he believed was enough to take on the entire Whitebeard pirates as that was Kaidos goal. If Kaido had enough to take on the Whitebeard pirates then there's not really any excuse of being undermanned against Shanks and the Red Haired pirates.

I would move Akainu to Shanks’ spot. Shanks left Elbaf. Possibly to go after Blackbeard. Or to Laughtale, maybe he left a rubbing of the last poneglyph with Saul and a message saying he would be waiting there for Luffy. After a Goresei member gets defeated(killed?) all hell will break loose. I’d expect a raid on Elbaf by Akainu along with either the holy knights and/or more Goresei members.

Great video as always. I think blackbeard has a decent shot at being the final villain. I see imu as like the blackbeard of the past who beat joyboy, the luffy of the past. It would be so dope if halfway through luffy vs imu, blackbeard shows up when u least expect yet again and snatches the thrown from imu. Of course luffy would still win in the end though😂 imu is obviously WAY better written than kaguya, but i view them similarly at least up til now. Ancient evil that is basically destined to lose to the mc. Oda is known for subverting expectations, dont sleep on Marshall D. Teach

At Jump Festa, Oda said something along the lines of "Next year, we will see a battle between "that person" and "that person". Lost of people think that this was referring to Blackbeard vs. Shanks, but could it actually be Luffy vs. Shanks instead? After all, Oda did also refer to the father of Makino's baby as "that person", which evidence also points towards being Shanks.

My only thought on it is Shanks is likely the last Rogers Pirate who is young enough and strong enough to stand in the way of Laugh Tale if a Blackbeard rose to power. To me that would be why they fight, is Shanks realizes Luffy needs a little time to regroup after Egghead so he challenges Blackbeard.

I feel like Sabo is the more likely one to take on Sakazuki. His grudge comes from the same place and is almost as strong (even if he wasn't present personally), the whole "fire vs. lava and lava always wins" thing would be appropriate to revisit and recontextualize, and finally, it'd feel good to have Luffy, who's always been taking other people's burdens on to himself, be relieved of one of his own burdens by a brother of his. I've also lately been starting to think that Blackbeard may not end up being an enemy at all. It could be that he and Luffy need to team up in order to bring down the World Government. Two sides of the same coin, joining together to fight a common enemy.

Sabo would be at least a tier lower than Dragon, I don’t see him being stronger than akainu. Luffy should be able to get revenge for his scar and ace. Sabo would probably play a roll for the wg.

The new generation will overtake the old and bring the true dawn of the world. Also, Luffy was never the one for revenge. But Sabo has shown signs of such.

@@BraceDecades sabo is not a next gen revolutionary, he’s dragon’s right hand man. Thats why follows dragon and his orders. He is a zoro to luffy with dragon. There’s no next generation ultimate revolution after defeating Imu. They will just take over other corrupt islands and not face any high stake opponents. Dragon would have his goal achieved because of Luffy not sabo directly.

@@danieljoseph3013 The revolution will end and the Revolutionary Army will disband, but its people won't just disappear into nothing. They will find other things to do. There's a good chance Sabo will still stick with Dragon, and whatever they're up to after the story, the pupil will eventually overcome the master. And anyway, I think you severely underestimate Sabo. He did manage to escape from Imu and all Five Elders already. If he continues to grow at the rate he's been growing so far, I'm sure he could take on Sakazuki before the time comes. After all, why should Luffy bother himself with some pencil-pusher when the real agents of tyranny are still ahead?

There is more to Kidd’s story. Shanks’ fleet took pity on them and fished them out. Kidd gives up the pirate life and becomes the shoe shine boy at the local tavern in Elbaf. Killer helps out with the bartending and the other bums are in the back washing dishes and cleaning up the outhouse.

I can't help but remember Morj's video from a couple years back where he predicted with absolute certainty that Luffy would fight Jack because it had been "set up", lol. I think Oda is so unpredictable that these kinds of videos about future match ups inevitably end up being slightly off the mark. Anyway, imo there is no way Luffy will fight Shanks. Maybe a brief clash à la Roger and Whitebeard splitting the skies, but nothing more. And I'm skeptical even about a brief clash.

I don’t see the confrontation with Shanks in Elbaf being a Davy Back fight. I think we all assume Luffy will fight each Yonko. I think Luffy will go to Elbaf with the intention of confronting Shanks, might even have a fight or something with his crew, but ultimately I think Blackbeard will interrupt. I don’t know how it will play out after that, but I think Blackbeard will be a major focus in that arc since his biggest connections are with Shanks and Luffy. Perhaps Shanks or someone else on Shanks crew like Yasopp meet their end during this confrontation because I don’t see Blackbeard’s story ending at Elbaf either. Let me know what ya’ll think of that

While BB, Imu and Saturn seem to be guaranteed to be defeated by Luffy, I could totally see Akainu being beaten by Sabo as he has literally taken on Ace's will of fire. Would be very Oda-like to give Sabo the chance to make up for his "mistake" of letting his brother die.

Imo the order maybe like this 1. Shanks in elbaf 2. BB in laugh tale 3. Akainh- warmup before fighting imu 4. Imu Like first you've to fight fellow pirates when u become pirate then marines and then world govt

Doubt Shanks is next Villian since he just left Elbaf. Also I don't think a Davy Back fight is happening but I do think when StrawHats fight Red Hair I think CrossGuild will be part of the mix. It's gonna be StrawHats+GrandFleet vs RedHair+CrossGuild in Raftel/LaughTale.

@@Jestiii What's the point of mentioning Kaido here? Like if you really think about it, that doesn't actually add anything to your argument at all. If we go with your train of thought then all that means is that Kaido is more physically durable than Kizaru... We already know that. It makes complete sense that an attack that would down Kaido for a few minutes would immobilise a less physically durable character. Its just that Luffy is at a level now where the less durable person happens to be an Admiral, the same Admiral that showed a huge gulf in power between him and Luffy in their last encounter. Someone celebrating Luffy for coming this far isn't a bad thing and I don't know why you're being so weird about it. You even have to add the stipulation of "Don't mention top tier tanks" which completely attempts to cut off any actual discussion of your point. The top tier fighters are obviously the only ones who could take a hit like that, no shit, those are the exact kinds of fighters that Luffy is dealing with now. Why would we sit here and argue over whether a lesser fighter could handle a hit from Luffy? That's a dumb argument.

That's a Yonko tier attack with maximum offense we're talking about, comparable to Drunken Ragnarok maybe or even stronger.

i also think the man marked by flames is worth a mention. i personally think that blackbeard will be the one to fight him, but i expect the man marked by flames to be a top tier, and there is a non 0 chance of luffy fighting him.

I think it would be cool if all 4 current yonko crews made it to Laugh Tale at the same time and did something dumb like a 4 way Davy Back fight to determine who will be pirate king. Followed by this the winning captain would then have thme all in his crew and could go destroy the WG with them.

8:30 the Davy Back fight being in Elba is nice theory that I can see happening due to ODA Grandline shanks introduction was him going on another Yanko’s ship and first asking a Yanko’s Commander (Marco) to join his crew befor he event talked to white beard , so the first time we meet shanks he brought Luffy(stole lol) a devil fruit ( You can say he took Shanks greatest treasure)(also h shanks wasn’t a Yanko but he had that power so Shanks was the first Yanko Luffy took treasure from, Now it’s just Black beard left lol) . . . Back to the point first Luffy then Shanks asks someone to join his crew. Then there is the next part about the clash with WB that is epic for a Davy back fight in the future, because the Clare was over Ace and How WB being like Roger is very arrogant and flashy (in a good way) but he trust to much and accept the life of a pirate and Dad but his neglected his duty as a Captain and that’s to punish BB himself or let his family look at his in disgrace. He choose the later unfortunately. But he is OG Daddy WB so his sons could never disrespect him and Ace had so much respect he couldn’t let it slide like WB because he got that Roger (Dog) in him but WB and Shanks Know that Ace is still a puppy. So why let your puppy got try to become a Dog on a ship full of Wolves? Y’all should have groomed him better or put up a better effort to stop him since he is going against captain orders. But that saved Luffy so it’s all good. But I can see shanks using that as a test to see if Luffy can truly protect his friends if you can’t than I will, because we know shanks takes in lower pirate group all the time so he not really a destroyer more of a conqueror hahaha get it.

Luffy vs Shanks is plausible if we get a Davey Back fight where the Rio Poneglyphs are at stake. Shanks holding the final one or the location to one. And that would be great, showcasing Luffy as a great pirate in going toe to toe with Shanks and the Straw Hats against his crew.
