Four decades before the English colonized Jamestown and more than half a century before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, the Spanish established at St. Augustine the nation’s first enduring settlement.
We were recently invited inside the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, one of the best-preserved and most authentic Second Spanish Period residential buildings in the city.
