I started when it first began back in 1997, as an 8 year old. But I really must say those anime you mentioned around those years were probably the best and most rememberable. Gene Starwind was a total bad ass. I wanted to be like him when I was a kid. He got the girls, operated a bad ass space ship, was in great shape and was a good guy at the end of the day. I think we were all watching through the eyes of his sidekick forgot his name (vicariously) or so. Remember the transitions between commercials? The bullet gun shots that spelled OUTLAW STAR. How cool was that? The cool philosophical narrator guy in the start of every episode was pretty inspiring as a kid and added a layer of light existentialism to an action anime. The cat girl was annoying for me but everything else was cool. The series ended way too fast.

I'm trying to find out what this anime I watched when I was very young is. I only got to see a few minutes of it before my mother made me change the channel. It was a bunch of green alien or monster men either celebrating that they were about to go to war or that they won the war. They also had a bunch of alien or monster women who seemed to be another species mixed in with them. Half the women were celebrating and excited with them and the other half were tied up hanging from the ceiling and being whipped. It aired around the same time as Ronin Warriors, I didn't know what that anime was called for a long time until recently, so if you know or have any idea PLEASE let me know it's so frustrating not knowing. I'm 99% sure it was on toonami I don't know of any other network airing adult themed anime at the time. Please any idea let me know.

I have a feeling it was eureka seven cuz it was like emotional & their was like some fairy/angelic type chick & the main character was tryna get at that, he was tryna clap them cheeks right & then I think someone killed her & then the main character went beast mode & he had this rainbow colored aura around him. there was this show, i think it was an anime im not sure if it was on cartoon network or on toonami. i don't remember the name i remembered watching every episode of it but now all i could remember from it is that in the end the main cast of four (maybe 5?) characters. the main character with red hair and if remember his name was dit or something like that, a blonde girl with who is really narcissistic, a second girl with short blue hair who was kind and has a lost little brother or smthing, and maybe 1 or 2 more character with like green hair or maybe someone else with blue hair. but anyway in the last battle they like fought the little brother of the blue haired girl in mechs or somehting. he was a baby btw, but not a real baby i think just some kind of living energy. and also his final form is like a big green baby (yes its wierd but thats what i remembered) then they defeated him and become good and became energy again or something like that. and thats all i can tell, any more memories of it are just too unclear if anyone knows the name of this show please tell me. this has been in my mind for the past 2 years

I won't lie, I was expecting Gaist Crushers somewhere. Then I realised they might not have aired that anime in the Western side of the world. I don't know why exactly that show interested me at all when I was younger, but it lead to me watching toonami regularly and eventually stumbling upon the og Teen Titans.
