I am a 6th grader and just a couple of weeks ago, our school made us watch this video. Other kids weren't paying attention, but I was. This video switched my perspective of school and I thank you for sharing us this gratitude. I know you won't see this but if you do, thank you for helping me.

I can definitely relate to that, I was shy at 3rd grade when I moved to a new school I ended up making some friends and that gave me me the courage to be me I was the smart kid who gets good grades. As I grew older at the first day of middle school when I was trying to be myself people started to call me "annoying" and "weirdo" no one wanted to talk to me and I was often judged at. I was lonely and depressed at times so I wanted to fit in, I watched some tutorials on how to be cool in school and I started doing some things that were not me. It was kinda stressful trying to look good and when I was not me some random girls started coming to me. It was very stressful being popular. But when I watched this video my life was changed, I started having the courage to be me like how I was back in elementary school since then people started coming to me and then I was one of the most popular kids in school thanks to this man by the name of "Prince EA".

I'm 15 rn and the summer this year really made me into the person i truly am. I stopped caring what others had to say and it made me invincible in a way. Going to school felt better and just being outside my house felt better because i didn't care what others thought of me. My life has been a shitshow filled with depression and anxiety for 3 years all because of societies pressures on me and i still have depressive episodes for months sometimes. But what i'm trying to say is, don't give a fuck about what others think of you because your health and your happiness is more important than what that random person you see at school or work thinks of you. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

I've never given into social pressures. Lol I'm 14 and don't even have a phone. I don't really socialise outside of school, I thought I was weird and not normal. But then I realised that all the decisions I have made are take make me as happy as possible. I used to be friends with relatively 'cool' kids, but when all the f*** they can talk about is Tik tok trends, I stopped being friends with them. Now my friends are extremely nerdy, I definitely am way more athletic and like sport more than them, like the 'cool' kids, but I actually enjoy being around them, we actually have interesting conversations and because they actually have 2 brain cells, their jokes are actually fun and make me laugh instead of pretending a Tik tok trend joke I don't understand is funny.

I'm just in high school and I felt very identified with the video, one of my biggest challenges has been the fact of not feeling included, being rejected, feeling less than others and not having as many friends as the "popular" ones. I often compare myself with them a lot to the point of feeling very bad almost every day. Watching this video made me cry because I thought I was the only one going through all of that, it really made me think if being popular really matters and I don't need to fit in because I know I'm not like them and I can be different in my own way, I can being judged but it's much better than being fake. man, you literally changed my way of thinking.. i really needed to hear this, thanks.

You changed my life. You're like me man, here's mine. When I was in elementary, I liked to dance, I liked to draw, I like to create stuff. Doing these type of things made me who I am right now. But when you go on and on, time passes and you're eventually in 8th grade almost on to high school, and I almost lost interest in type of things that I liked to do because of my "friends" and I wanted to be cool like everyone doing the same stuff they did. But then I realized, the things that make us cool is what we already love to do. So one day when my "friends" told me to stop drawing and it was stupid I said "Then don't be around me then". Just keep on doing what you love and focus on it because that is who you are that makes you cool, just be you, be yourself because God chose to make you this way, to be special like everyone else, like this man and teen. Thank you for the 0.00001% who read this comment.

I recently realized stuff so I dumped gaming, switched school just today and focused on what's really important to me. And that is to fulfill my vision and if you don't have a vision you'll just be flying around with no destination and end up in the wrong place... I'm 15 and I'm so thankful to God I realized this so soon coz I see a lot of people didn't. Almost 75% of the Americans don't like their job so that proves my theory in a way

See.. all motivational speakers say the same thing.. literally, that's why I dont like motivational speakers.. they over motivate you to do things, which is not the right way to go .. I've heard alot of things from these speakers.. most of what they say ain't correct. And I'm tired, cuz everyday.. more speakers keep coming and saying what they want to say.. I've heard too much.. I'm just tired of hearing, they're literally the same.. telling you to quit your jobs and have fun, whereas.. them motivating you is their jobs and they're making that bread.. I get most of what they say are true.. but majority are wrong.. this video wasnt obviously wrong.. but I've heard too much of motivational speakers. Literally, the next thing they do is to publish a book and tell you to buy it, like.. that's so annoying. A motivational speaker once told me he started a business at the age of 7, and I can do it too.. that going to school is wrong... that guy was literally a clown.. he obviously didn't start any business.. these motivational speakers are annoying.. no one wants to listen to them anymore. Well, this is just my opinion

Humphrey Jr I want to listen to them because my life changed a lot from hearing a very good intelligent motivational speaker talk. He talks wise things and he talks sense. You don’t just listen. You listen and do the action. You say that you’re tired of listening to all these motivational speakers but have you ever put all these things they say in practice? Have you ever said to yourself if this is real or not? Listen and understand. Don’t listen like it’s just another trash they’re talking about. Your comment makes me realize why people hate this video. But what he says is actually true.

I hate these type if videos like sure he cares but he doesn't know us, he doesn't know what we go through. He doesn't even know half of our names! So when he says "you are special" yea me AND his billion subscribers, yea so special. When school sets up "assemblies" to tell us how special we are it's the same thing! ALL of us together if feel more special if they did it separately but it seems they don't care enough to do that

.... Today is Jan 2 2023 and really, this is the first time I saw this video... Being who you and not being a copy like everyone else can make you be truly happy and popularity not mattering. It speaks a lot really... It somewhat made me happy just and not faking a smile then usual. I wish I saw this when I was 12(almost 15 now) yrs old tho... But it's okay, it's better seeing this video now then later. Seeing it later, I will only continue sinking and struggling to try to be me and stop being what everyone wants me to be. My day just feels lighter and brighter now. :)
