2:20 Misty never said this, " he is a boy & and a friend, but not a boyfriend!" Also Tracey never said this, " are you talking about me?!" I just watched the 2000 movie in English sub, 4kids spoiled so many moments. Also, 4kids spoiled every Pokeshipping moments in Chronicles(there are descent pokeshipping moments) So, Pokeshipping is not 4kids made, they just made 6 to 7 scenes. Also, they spoiled so many.

This is why Pokéshipping is the most superior ship out of all the Pokégirls paired with Ash. Just watch this, please and you'll be enlightened. You really can see that it's not unrequited, it's quite sure that they have mutual feelings for each other. Now don't get me wrong, I respect that others can ship Ash to any Pokégirls they want, I'm just stating the fact that the moments of Ash with Misty have more weight compared to the others.

Idk if you remember, but Pokemon took a major dip in popularity after the first generation, at least in the states. It made sense for the show writers to move on, even if it was to shuffle female characters around more than Pokemon cards (I'm not kidding. Go look up the end show writer at the time explaining why Misty left the show. It's gross.)

@@antifagoat6591 Pokemon always took a deep mid seasons while everyone was watching the start and the end. May's addition(Which was indeed a gross reasoning) didn't change much. The only huge drop was during pokemon Unova, which was a time that most pokemon fans were afraid that this was the end for pokemons.

I believe that if it wasn't for corporate meddling(like how they turned ash into a 10 year old kid for 3 decades jumping into multiple regions) and the story flowed naturally, he would've ended up with Misty. I mean all the signs were there. Like they're building into something. Sadly, they butchered Ash's character growth and development to sell the brand. He did became a champion but it was so damn overdue.

I never understood why they had to remove a lot of Ash's personality in XYZ to make him look cooler and more mature. Ash was already a mature character in Diamond and Pearl without needing to lose his personality. It also didn't help that they pushed Ash back in the following seasons. The fact that they sacrificed Ash's personality and had to create a female character specifically for shipping (even though I like the character Serena, of all the pokegirls she was the one that was reduced the most to shipping) when they had Misty with great chemistry with Ash. Even Pikachu's affection for Misty was never matched by the other pokegirls. It's like having the main dish served and still ordering an extra delivery.

As I understand it, the head writer of the Pokemon anime didn't want any hints of romance between any of the characters, but the animators couldn't resist doing it anyway. 4Kids Entertainment took it a step further when they handled the English dub.

It all confirms how she always used to turn down all the guys from the start, even brok himself liked misty, even pickachu likes misty not Serena, she saved his life once in her gym while she did that mermaid performance, I don't like the new studios ruining up the old Ash x Misty ship. With the exception of Iris (Black and White), Ash only gets embarrassed every time someone suggests he and Misty are a couple. When ever someone would tease the other girls about it, Ash would simply look confused. It might be an indication that Ash has feelings for either of these girls, but its more likely the animators just wanted to make Ash act more dense and immature.

I remember that there was a deleted scene of Pokemon The First Movie in Japan where they show a short teaser clip of an older Misty being happy with her child, while Pikachu was also there, which means that it was intended that Ash and Misty did actually end up marrying each other. I guess one of the writers wanted the series to end like that, but because of studio medling, they had to change the idea to keep the series going and for dumb reasons never let any of the characters physically age.

@@dishagupta5662 I don't remember exactly bruh His name is Rudy He is from orange island Misty saves his sister and he falls for her and tries to impress her. And Ash gets jealous In original japanese dub He asks her to marry him But in English and Hindi dub He just asks her to stay with him. Misty refuses him and says she chooses ash. Then he understands that she likes ash. Rudy later tells ash that he is lucky because Misty likes him indirectly. But ash being stupid doesn't get it. In Hindi dub he says, "Ash tum kafi lucky ho." Ash, "par kyu" Rudy, "Samaghdar ko ishara hi kafi hai." Ash is really stupid you know Me hota to utha ke leke jata Misty ko 🙂
