A guy I know believes the correct way to listen to Tool is to stay perfectly still, shut your eyes and let the music embrace you (even when you're seeing them live, which makes no sense). Ironically I fell asleep during their set we went to see together and he made fun of me for it, even though what he was doing to "appreciate them better" wasn't that far from just conking out.

I would recommend checking them out if you've never heard them before. Good songs to start with are the likes of 46 & 2, Schism, and Parabola. But, fair warning... The fanbase can suck dick at some points. Some of the people that listen to Tool can be pretty cool, but there are a few bad eggs in there.
