For those who don't know, the dsiware version is actually missing the puzzle mode, survival mode, vs mode, the zen garden, the tree of wisdom, and a couple achievements. So it's literally JUST adventure mode and minigames lol

15:22 genuinely got a loud laugh out of me. Great vid, just finished story mode on the DSiware version and was reminded of how fun it is. Unfortunately the DSiware version is missing A TON of features, it isn’t basically the same as the DS version like you said in the video. Aside from that error, I enjoyed it!

As someone who played the VS mode on the DS, I will say it's *shockingly* fun, great cheap laugh with a friend. Probably my second favorite thing I've played on the platform, only being beat by DQ IX

You forgot the weird Chinese versions of pvz1 where zomboss wants to revive ancient Chinese people and recreate journey to the west and force everyone from it to go after your brains because they replaced their concept designs with historians that studied ancient Chinese culture (why do these themes and ideas exist), then you fight him in a sea dragon mech.

I grew up with PVZ DS and can say that I'm glad I grew up with it but damn most versions are way better. It was one of the only game I had for the DS, so I played it for hours and hours. I had all the mini games and enjoyed most of them, I also loved the Zombie aquarium in the zen garden. Being that I've played some of the other version of PVZ I can say "damn this is better", aside from like the modern mobile version or the blackberry PVZ

I remember trying PvZ 1 on mobile when it had ads. At one point, you actually had the option to remove the ads with a one time purchase. It was like $2.99 if I'm not mistaken so I thought "Sure, I guess". Years later, I redownloaded it, and now I'm forced to watch ads. EA pretty much stole my money. That is the first and last time I will ever buy something from EA.

fun fact: this was long time ago but i remember there were 2 version of pvz1 free one and paid version of pvz1 the paid version contained no ads and had more things to it like seed plants were up in the paid version rather than in the free one

I remember that I grew up with the ps3 version I played with my dad, and ds version that I played with my mother, And I still play the ds version even to this day, and in my opinion ps3 and ds are the best versions of all time, and I even played the iPad version at some point which was also good!

14:03 they did that but you still had to grind after paying for the game, me and my friends beat the game and did the grinding while we were at Astro camp in 6th grade, I’m about to 100% that profile that I moved to a new iPad.

12:52 this was not actually an update to pvz iPhone but rather a completely separate version, if you bought the old version on the phone you can still install and play it. Sadly you can no longer get the original mobile version without having it before it was removed from the App Store.

Considering the most content comes from the DS version and all you sacrifice is audio and visual quality, which isn't even necessarily bad for a DS game, I'd have to argue that that is the definitively best version if you had to have one version.

You know, the Modern Mobile version of songs ALSO sound quite wrong, i HATE IT when they're so compressed for no disearnable reason! What's worse is that they took out a LAURA CLASSIC FOR THAT! Wouldn't it have killed them to use the DS version of themes? Since, you know, EVEN THAT VERSION has Zombie On Your Lawn on it!?

Man! I dont hate mobile players! First because im one😂! Second, you forgot other version of mobile (idk) because in past i played some kind of version ho LOOKS like in PC but its mobile, dont have ads (or i just dont see😂) and well, like mobile, dont have all archivents! And last one, if you dont like Ads, desactivate WI-FI 😊😎👍
