The Mandalorian saying “This is the way” sums it up for me. They follow a path of virtue, just like the stoics. That’s sufficient for living a good life for them. Great video! Had the same thoughts :)

As a lover of philosophy and the Mandalorian, this video was a treat! It's fascinating to see how stoicism played a role in shaping the Mandalorian code of honor. Just like the stoics, the Mandalorians believe in living a life of wisdom and virtue, and finding true happiness and contentment within oneself. The way Mando speaks, laconic and to the point, is reminiscent of the stoic preference for concise language. And like the stoics, Mando lives a disciplined life, controlling his impulses and voluntarily enduring discomfort. But what really ties the Mandalorian culture to stoicism is their inclusivity - anyone can be a Mandalorian, just like anyone can be a stoic. @@Everydaystoic Thank you. I didn't have the captions on (and they sometimes generate mistakes). I couldn't hear the distinction in the pronunciation. Great video. If you haven't already, it would be interesting to cover other fictional characters people see as role models and examine their stoic qualities as they are portrayed in movies and tv shows. Some I'd like to see would be: John Wick Jean-Luc Picard John Rambo Gokuu

@@Everydaystoic I don't think it's you per se, I usually listen to you tube videos when I'm busy doing other chores, so that way my brain can learn something while I'm accomplishing something physical. The drawback of this is any videos where visual information is key are less educational, and some new words may cross my ears that I'm unfamiliar with the spelling of.
