While I love the development the family got, I really do miss when the mikalsons were legit terrifying. When the world shook at the mention of their names

One of the worst things they did was immediately letting Damon and Stefan overpower Elijah with nothing but their 'wondertwin powers'. Obviously they needed to survive but they could have come up with some plan or ambush or anything smart instead of just letting the two of them overpower him like it was nothing while vampires 4 timer older are scared shitless.

@@mathiasfrolich613 if you are talking about the very first appearance by Elijah, remember that he was supposed to be a one off character. Turns out the Elijah, and by extension all of the first family except for Klaus, were initially supposed to be one off characters or short term Julie literally lucked into most of the good that came from the franchise.

Klaus is cunning, rage and vengeance, but Elijah is at his core a much darker monster, it's his love for his family, sense of honor and will that keeps it in check, even when he just lets his inner monster come out for a slight peak it's terrifying. You have to wonder just how horrible he could get if he ever let it out completely and dominated by that dark side

I feel like his loyalty to his family and values are what MAKES him terrifying. If he let loose I feel like he’d on par with Klaus, but his need to keep his noble facade while still having his own intentions means that so on top of the crazy amount of scary you get from just being an original, you also won’t see him coming unless you manage to weed out all the loopholes he puts in his words.

Elijah is the scariest out of all of them. Yeah Klaus is the hybrid and an animal but Elijah like you said is tactical. He will try the peaceful solution when he can and only goes off if the person has deserved it. So when he does take action, you know how angry he is and that you had to push him too far

He's delicate with it. What I like about Daniel's performance is he makes you believe that he's 1000 years old in a young body. He's very theatrical with it

Uk the attack on the cafe, it's funny that Rose thought it was Klaus but actually it was all Elijah. Nd the fact that Rose thought that Elijah is the Easter Bunny compared to Klaus. This shows how secretive nd tactical Elijah was, always lurking in the shadows nd there could be so many incidents where he would let ppl believe that it was Klaus so ppl would fear Klaus nd underestimate him nd he can use it to his advantage. The originals showed us that outside of the family nobody really knew how they worked nd what they were. The Mikaelsons were really private nd loved cooking up stories to misguide ppl nd enjoy the show. True strategists.

I respect Elijah quite a lot. He gave me my desire to always look good while doing something. But that scene when he enters the house to face the WolfPack and its Alpha will be a favorite forever. That specific episode is one of my 3 favorite in the whole series.

I think the The Originals was ruined by the upgraded original serum, a byproduct of shitty writing; it’s the one thing that breaks the entire lore. The world used to be terrified of the Mikaelsons, and they really could have made the show from their perspective without the stupid downplay of their power because the writers were incompetent. Show the original vampires being the most powerful beings in the universe, being ruthless, and everyone trembling at the sound of their name. Show the complex family dynamics and the problems that arise from possessing such tremendous power: Hope losing control through tantrums in her childhood, destroying her surroundings, and killing people by accident as she learns to control her magic. Show the siblings arguing and fighting but loving each other deeply at the end of the day. Show the Mikaelsons being a dangerous family, playing chess games with people and their lives, like in s1, partially in s3, and Klaus in the finale of s2. Don’t create these stupid “villains” or “antagonists” outside the Mikaelsons and downplay the Originals to match their level because of incompetent writing.
