I really enjoy all of your versions of my Lovely Chord Song on your Instagram stories! Now would you like to learn these lovely 7th arpeggios? All you need to do is first learn 3 types! 1) Major 7th 2) minor 7th 3) Dom 7th Then you can apply these chord changes! Fun? Here we go!

The poly coating that Fender has been using for the past few decades is notably shiny like this. David Gilmour is probably the first "shiny" strat I remember seeing on stage. I wasn't loving it on my strat when I first got it and even debated sanding it down, but after it gets well played it's so beautiful I can't help but love it 10+ years later.

It's weird, Tomo, I play these ascending, but rarely descending and it sounds great. I am in the habit of going up with arpeggios and then descending with chromatics/scales/licks, etc. I am going to practice your fantastic lesson. I hear some good stuff for going into the 4 chord, as well as just beautiful melodies. Thanks so much, my friend. I see your channel is doing very well, I knew it would!!

I think your lighting is just fine! You have your own style and it works very well. If Esquires are common over here in the UK that probably means at some point no-one wanted them, so they were cheaper for us. US goods are still expensive here, but in the old days, there weren't so many Fenders available here, and they cost way too much, even for semi-professionals. Maybe when Teles appeared, Esquirs weren't wanted?

Squire's are manufactured in Indonesia & or China. Maybe because they're closer to England, more choices. About this video/tutorial; I don't believe there is enough reverb/medicine in the world to help ME. However, I am determined too get past my blocks, that keep me from practicing efficiently. Again....nice chord progressions & riffs. Beautiful - I just purchased a Squire for Ma' birthday yesterday. I am so impressed with it, I am planning on picking another one here in the states. Esquire is altogether another word/meaning/animal/guitar? ~ good tutorial, thank you for what your giving us.

idk if the next lesson include more phrasing and all that awesome harmony at the end of this one but i would wish to see it include the titles to be looked for so that it may become possible to search and improve about wherever it is available...guess asking for an entire jazz theory would be quite unusual, but a list of the subskills to be observed may not idk again...great vid.

@@TomoFujitaMusic with all respect i was trying to say like i am in search of what cue or which cue i am at or on at the moment; i mean if the question rises as - how can i play like this? ... then any answer such as - you need to go for the picking etudes, scales, or u know triads or chord constructions and etc, would be valid as well...for a brain working like mine that is ok we learn this and this will make us play directly, the only option seems as simply transcribing what is desired to be acquired, maybe not fully understanding its fundamentals directly but at least making the mind rather familiar to the effect of those colors underneath but still not close as it needs to be. I was thinking on laying down all parallel harmonizations of a tone and to draw a matrix of any possible code switches or cognates on any degree but by the math and the possibility of the end result would only be redundant i guess, so i skipped to the next option as to focus on harmonizing over single note phrases but this iguess, would mean some other gigantic work to handle by ones own and by the tube only. Ill make sure to get a grasp on your website to conclude with you know.

Great Lesson! I have a question regarding fingering, on the Dom 7th arpeggios, why you choose to use the ring finger while ascending and then you switch to ring and middle fingers instead? (when you play 2nd and 3rd strings) Thanks a lot for your videos and the amazing Guitar Wisdom site!! :)

Hey Tomo, out of curiosity, do you conceptualize the fretboard from a harmony perspective? For example, would Eb Lydian look like Ebmaj7 and Fmaj, or do you see scales as a separate entity?
