Dewalt Stud Finder
This Center Sensor Stud Finder has a detection depth of 1-1/2 in. for wood and metal. Traditional stud sensors locate the edge of the stud, but our new product locates the center for a more efficient read, even when held at an angle. Plus, it is constantly calibrating to save time during use. An audible alert and directional LED arrows clearly notify you once the stud is located and you can easily mark the center of the stud with the center marking channel.

THANK YOU!! Dewalt's instructions that come with the unit are useless. They show how to slide it across the wall. I KNOW HOW TO DO THAT!! Your reading in Spanish and French had me falling on the floor! Funny for us because we speak the three languages.

The "quick start" instructions included in the package were difficult and unclear, so I pulled this video up instead. Glad I did - he makes the correct use of this stud finder easy to understand. I now feel confident that I am hanging things on my walls in safe places.

I think the same tech from this Dewalt unit is in the Stanley stud detector S160. Maybe it was licensed to different brands in different countries. I bought mine in Australia. Top tool.

I've had mine for about a month now and it shits on ANY Zircon. Love it. This was my last time giving a stud finder a chance. My experience with stud finders in the past has been terrible. They always do weird shit, and I end up wanting to run them through my planer. However, I saw this one and since DeWalt is king, I figured, "ok, I'll try one more" . I'm really glad I did.

Bought one this morning to install awning brackets. Works on siding like a pro. My old finder worked okay on drywall, but not with siding. KEEPER !!! (The Spanish part of the instructions didn't make sense to me, but I WILL be sure never to place a ham sandwich near a bucket of eels on a Monday)

Thanks, the directions are in pictures and not very helpful. I appreciate your thoroughness. It really helped since my garage studs aren't exactly evenly spaced for my tool hanging rails.

Meh, I think have 3 of these things from various manufacturers. Never once pulled one out on the job site. Just use your knuckles a tape and/or your eye balls. Fun to dick around with at home but not much use to me otherwise. Older lath and plaster walls --forget about it. Fun video all the same --keep 'em coming!

This is probably not the take-away I should have gotten from this video, but when you started pushing that power button and it started that rhythmic beeping, suddenly "Boogie Nights" was irrevocably playing in my head. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aL51oKmmqsjUqoE.html The equivalent of the stud finder "Beep be-beeps" start at 31 seconds. And yes, I guess I am a bit off-kilter, mentally.
