Oof, that quote about bad girls with shitty attitudes is so accurate. 90s fiction spawned so many asshole love interests that we were supposed to adore because they were "hot", but were actually just horrible people that had relationships ranging from unhealthy to outright abusive.

Not really surprising that Jocasta’s romantic entanglements would be so messed up. Her name comes from Greek mythology - more specifically, the story of Oedipus Rex. Yes, THAT Oedipus. Jocasta was Oedipus’s mother/wife - which confirms that the writers were 100% aware of how messed up it would all be when they named her.

Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for this. I can’t stand Earth 616 Mantis as she really was a home wrecker but I do like MCU Mantis. As for Vision, Wanda will always be the one for him. Always. WandaVision anyone? Marvel Comics needs to get on the ball.
