Adobe should pay you for your excellent tutorial videos! This video is another example of the quality effort you put into making these. Adobe PSE couldn’t have asked for a better sales tool by which to showcase their product. If it wasn’t for you, I would have given up on PSE a long time ago. Beginners are now lucky to have the PSE coach. It would have made my life a lot easier way back then. I appreciate what you have accomplished. You should have 100 to 1,000 times more subscribers!

Thanks Zed, unfortunately all Adobe knows how to do is to steal from me. You know that nice medium to dark blue that Adobe uses in their Photoshop logo, and also now in their Photoshop Elements logo? That is mine. Way back when in PSCS2 their Photoshop colors were blue to green on a feather. In PSCS it was red. Back then I was doing the DVD cases for my training with a gradient band down the left hand side. I didn't like how the red to white band looked, came out mostly pink. So I used my favorite color which is turquoise and did a gradient from that to a dark blue for my cases. Looked great. The next year Adobe changed their colors for their logo to the same turquoise to dark blue, taken right from my DVD cases. They've been stealing ideas from me ever since. But I am satisfied anyway because I am able to help a lot of people use these great programs. I love the programs, I don't care too much for the company.

Once again - Thanks!! I really am learning a lot from you. And the membership guide is AWESOME. I use to watch videos, stopping them every few seconds to write out notes in a notebook... then go back to the video and repeat. I spent more time doing that than actually practicing photo editing. Your detailed guide is a change maker!!! I urge everyone who really wants to learn all the ins and outs of Photoshop Elements to subscribe!!!! Now I can just print out the instructions and spend my time editing!

Thanks! That is exactly what I hoped the PSE Coach would do. You can thank it to a video I saw on KZfaq back in October. It was a video about how AI can answer all kinds of questions and it got me thinking. Maybe I could do something like that for PSE, just required a lot of writing and a good search system. What I came up with is the PSE Coach. Happy it is helping you out. I am adding in more detailed articles every week. As I do videos and get comments I am keeping a list of ideas that come to mind, and those become new articles.

Thank you for another great and informative video, there is always something new to learn about layers, thought I was getting to grips with them but still things come up that throw me and it’s reassuring to know I can just come to your tutorials for a refresh, especially with the new PSE coach, it’s so helpful - you sure do a grand job 😊

Hi George, I'm new to PSE 24 using a Mac. I want to use floating windows/documents but I don't get PREFERENCES when I click on Edit in the same way. that you do. What am I doing wrong please.
@HTGPhoto3 ай бұрын
Hi, on a Mac the Preferences are in the Photoshop Elements file menu.

Thank you so much, I've got it now.

Great Video, many thanks! Looks like you are using Windows. I have a Mac and in the Menu Bar it doesn't start with File, there is before and wasting all of my Menu bar space, "Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 Editor". Do you now if or how I can make this vanish?
@HTGPhoto3 ай бұрын
You are right, I am using Windows 11 at the moment. Didn't know about that long line of text on a Mac, but that is typical. No idea how to get rid of that, if it is simple then there may be a setting in Preferences in the General tab, but that is just a guess.

Hello, I have a question about Photoshop Elements 2024. I looking to learn Stencil, do you think you could help me with this?
@HTGPhoto3 ай бұрын
Hi Stencil is not related to Photoshop Elements 2024 and I don't have any training for it. Looks like Stencil wants to compete with Canva which is a very good online image creation tool.

You can make a video on how to use fill generators, how to make image A have the quality and characteristics of image B that is from a comic or animated series or video game, and how Using different clothes from another image and changing positions such as sitting sideways or standing sideways, and being facing or sitting facing forward etc?
@HTGPhoto6 ай бұрын
You can't do that in Photoshop Elements, it is not an AI program. Do a search online for Midjourney, that is what you want.
@hermanavalos82456 ай бұрын
The Photoshop elements 2023 has fill generative? And permanent license?

Photoshop Elements is not an AI program.

Quick question, is there a difference between opening a new blank document which shows as background and then opening your photo to add to it, so showing 2 layers, the white bg and the image, as opposed to just opening your photo without opening a blank document - I’m never sure which way I should be doing it. Hope this makes sense 😊
@HTGPhoto5 ай бұрын
Hi Anne, it makes no difference really. The background layer has some locks on it so if you plan on editing the image on that layer directly then you would need to either convert that layer to a regular layer or do what I usually recommend which is to make a duplicate of that layer and edit the duplicate. One other reason to open a new file and then put your image as a second layer is if you plan on using that white background, possibly changing that to a different background.
@anne23095 ай бұрын
@@HTGPhoto thank you, I was just curious if there was a right way to do it, I’ve adopted your habit of always making a duplicate copy, great advice especially for a novice. Have a good day 😊
