Great choices. I guess you studied a lot before coming to Japan. "Soba" means both noodles and buckwheat noodles. When they are yellow and made from flour, it is actually ramen although marketed as soba.

The oil noodles you ate in Shibuya will probably become very popular in the future. This can be said to be an original Japanese menu.

日本はシーフードのイメージが強いのかも知れませんがすき焼きやしゃぶしゃぶ等の鍋料理や洋食も美味しいですよ

I totally agree! The best food I had in Japan was actually non-seafood! The non-pork ramen, gyoza and stews / curries were the BEST food I had!

楽しんで頂けてなによりですが、テーブルの上に荷物を置くのはあまり良いマナーではありません、BARやラーメン屋などはカウンターを結構神聖視している店が多いです。

I think a lot of Japanese customs are different to the ones I grew up with - but nothing is ever done with offence in mind! ❤️
