I used the Modern Elements rolling dryer for YEARS (went thru several), but the top would always break off after a year or so. It also took FOREVER (3+ hours) to dry my not so thick hair. Then I came across a video ALove4Me did about a dryer with a similar concept (rolling) but is almost double the price at $150. When my last dryer fizzled out, I bought the LCL Beauty hair dryer from their website: GAME CHANGER!! Far more sturdy and dries my hair in 1 hour flat! Love it!

I have that denman brush and noticed the last time I did my hair a bristle was missing. I've had it a few years but recently been using it consistently the past few months when preparing to wash my hair.

I have been binge watching your episodes recently. I love your channel. I noticed you have talked about curing your hair and I can’t find a video specifically about that. Could you make a video about that?

Thanks for the support. A video on that would be the length of a TikTok/reel/short. It just means staying under the dryer until the hair doesn’t feel gummy, tacky, or sticky. Hope that makes sense.

After each use I run them under water and pull out the hair. If I can’t get the last few hairs, I tap the brush on my leg or the wall. Then, I prop it up to dry.

I loooove the denman d38 brush, but i've been looking for something like the curl keeper because my younger sibling needs something that looks like it would be really easy to clean out. I've also been looking into hooded dryers, do u feel that dryer gets all of your hair in the back and the very ends? The last two hooded dryers i've bought over the last 10-ish years, i've always had an issue with the back not quite drying as well as it would under a hooded dryer when i go to the salon

Hi Kayla, I’m in the market for a new brush. You said you change your brushes seasonally, by that do you mean once a quarter? Do you rotate between these two I.e., winter is the D38, then spring is the Curlkeeper, and so on? Is there a reason you switch between the two of them? If you only could pick one, which would you go for? ALSO, I saw black girl curls is coming out with a detangling brush called the Thique Curl Detangler. Any plans for a review? I see it’s on preorder right now and I was going to go ahead and purchase it, but I would hate to waste $30! That $30 could be used to purchase the D38 or Unbrush (similar to the Curlkeeper, it looks like) instead, lol

You understood my rotation correctly. I rotate simply so I can use them both. I am not interested in purchasing another brush so I will not likely be getting the new brush from Black Girl Curls. If you do decide to get the unbrush, keep in mind that the head is slightly wider and the handle is shorter. I also heard something about the bristles being different sizes. These may be better for you depending on your preference.
