It's very comforting to hear that Mudan fears being cringe while filming the vlogs. He's doing great and improving with each upload.

Genuinely. That's what I love about them. They feel so, real? Like, it's easy to watch people like connor or chris and think of them like being so far away from you, and then you watch mudan and it's, yeah he's just a guy.

It genuinely makes me feel better about not being able to film in public settings myself, it's just a fear basically many has but they just do it

The Linus coincidence definitely lines up with his Japan vacation time (from his WAN Show), saying he had to come back to Canada early to record the mega April Fools stunt
@seanli74932 ай бұрын
I can't believe you were there at the same time Linus was there, I saw the WAN show segment where they talked about being at the pompompurin cafe and how it was terrible like a few days after watching your vlog, my thought was that it was weird that two KZfaqrs who I was watching pretty consistently was at the same place in such a short time frame, but never had I thought it was at exactly the same time.

In terms of places I have gone to in Japan that I could recommend: Yamazaki Distillery (Whiskey tour that includes highballs) Nagoya Noritake Garden (Also has fancy expensive Chinaware museum) Hotel Kaneyamaen (Very nice Ryokan near Mt.Fuji w/all you can drink wine bar) Ginza Sembikiya (Very fancy fruit parlor diner with really good parfaits) Shinjidai (24/7 izakaya that has "Dengushi Pyramid Challenge", 1800 yen for 36 pieces of Chicken skin skewers) Kappabashi Street (get a fancy kitchen knife!) Fishing Restaurant Zauo (you can catch your fish that you eat!) Also as a bonus, random video ideas: Compare all the highest places tourist spots (Umeda Sky building, Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Sky, Mori Tower) Compare the major beefs, (Omi/Yonezawa Beef, Kobe Beef, and Matsusaka Beef) Edit: Also as a bonus, if you are a coffee person be sure to checkout not just Starbucks Reserve but also: Glitch Coffee Kurasu Kyoto Weekenders Coffee Koffee Mameya

Hey Mudan, really like seeing your unique style applied to your own experiences and I think its really cool to see you evolve a bit not just as an editor but as a sort of general creator and I'm curious to if your vlogging may help inform future editing ideas and concepts and vis versa. I noticed you asked for some bar recommendations sort in the asakusa area. If you don't mind I have a pretty short list of potential spots you should look into, in fact it would be really cool if you get through them in like a 24 hour period since their all pretty close. Something I've tried when travelling with my partner is to try and eat meals which originated from each continent. Doing it over the course of a few weeks is manageable, although finding food from Oceania sucks unless you find an Australian pub selling kangaroo burgers. I'd just be interested to see what eating cuisines from around the world is like in Japan. I have no idea if it would make an interesting video/series of videos. Also another spin off to the love hotel for cheap accomodation whilst travelling could be trying a manga cafe/pod hotel, although that seems infinitely worse than a love hotel honestly haha Also there's lots of videos on those two areas, so I'd understand if it's not something you want to do.

I enjoyed the video it was nice to see a long form video like this it shows us your personality more in this video. Feels more connection with the audience than the usual videos. I gave it a chance and it was a good video to have in the background while doing something. Video suggestions do more videos like this in the future and video's showing us the inside of what and short to long form videos with getting out of your comfort zones and showing us viewers your progress you make along the way. As you said you're growing as a person. I think it's nice to see that from people the growth they have done in life including the ups and downs.

Here are a few tips if you still need to get a SUICA. If you haven't bought an iPhone :P 1. Go to another prefecture which uses a different card type. I got an ICOCA in Kansai asking about it at the JR service centre. 2. Whenever you use 1 of the terminals to buy a ticket, choose the Japanese language and the IC card option. Sometimes, if the machines are available in thell, they appear as an option in Japanese but not English. This is to stop tourists from buying the SUICA and instead go for the Sakura SUICA. (I got a NIMOCA this way.) Also, I hope this information stays hidden and not abused since then; they'll probably remove it. Also, all these different cards are interchangeable as they are all based on the FeliCa standard, which was first deployed in Hong Kong(interesting side note).

I watch Reina Scully (former Trash Taste guest) vlogs and her pre-baby vlogs were pretty cool for the rural areas she knows (Shizouka?). Later on, it'd be great to see you explore some super rural areas with perhaps someone who knows the area like her. She showed this really interesting roadside shack thing, one time, and it was basically some sort of community mill for raw rice. It was a place where local small farmers could mill their rice. I think there was even a place where the discarded bran was collected so people could take it for free. It was oddly memorable. I wish I could find which video it was!

Day 18 of recommending Mudan to go to Eigakan, a Jazz / Japanese Film bar run by a former 60s Japanese film director. Seeing it included in your bar speedrun would be a piece of history. When I stayed in Japan for a year on a working holiday visa, the first two months went by very slowly. Granted, it was summer and I didn't do much in June and July but once I started travelling in August and being all over Japan until December, those months just went by in a flash and the final months were over in the blink of an eye. It might happen to you to buddy. I hope you actually do enjoy your time in Japan and don't focus too much on the daily videos. Said it under another video of yours before; unless you plan to stay in Japan after this visa is over, this will be a once in a lifetime experience to enjoy Japan without all the "bad" sides like the work culture and such. And no - Family Mart is not the only konbini chain with trash cans. The vast majority of ANY konbini does have trash cans. Not necessarily trash cans outside in big bins but inside next to the register. There is absolutely no way that every 10th konbini you came across has a trash can :D
