The Orlando Magic are in a new position this year, drafting at No. 18 rather than in the Lottery. In many ways it is different. The Magic are not expecting to find a star with their pick. But in many ways, it is the same. The Magic are still looking for their kind of player and someone who can contribute in the same way they did before.

Da Silva seems like a Miami Heat type prospect. I'm surprised they passed on him, and Knecht, especially for a win-now team. Anyway, Da Silva has the length that the Magic prefer. The 40% shooting is exactly why they reached on Jett Howard last year, but Da Silva offers additional tools, such as cutting and passing. But he also has some things to clean up. He needs to get into the weight room and add muscle, not to play PF, but on being more physical on setting screens and adding interior defense. He should get Joe Ingles' minutes.

I don’t think we need to draft another point guard literally a year after drafting Black. He deserves more minutes and i think will improve this year. I would prefer a wing or center. I think Da Silva or Edy will be available and either would be a great fit for us.

It would be really interesting if you could make a target season forecast for each of the key players in the coming episodes. So what an ideal next season could look like. For example, Franz would shot 36% from 3 again and have over 20 points per game and so on

I wouldn’t mind spending the money on it Klay Thompson or Paul George. Getting Westbrook at the one on a veteran minimum picking up Dwite Howard for a third center.

Listing to Weltman scares me lol. What I heard him say was played A. Has a really nice game and is good but is some rough edges but player B isn’t the same talent level as player A but he’s much more of the “Magic type” so we will draft him hoping he can grow into player A.

Bub Carrington would be a nice pckup to compete for PG minutes, 6'5" with good length and a shooter who's game reminds me of CJ Mccollum (makes a living outside of the paint) which could be a nice contrast from where the other players we have seem to want to go, otherwise i would like to see us go for a upperclassman guy whose more polished and closer to the timeline of Paolo

Package Cole + Wendell + 18th pick and move up to 12 or 14 to make sure you get who you really want. Sign Hartenstein to replace Wendell and that’s a successful Summer.

Anthony Black and Jett Howard will go down as a terrible and missed on good players draft . Needed shooters and drafted the exact opposite. The dumbest thing ever . That screw up now makes free agency more difficult. Imagine having keyonte George or Cam Whitmore or even Gradey Dick off the bench. Imagine having our back up C spot filled by Derrick Lively. The front office really F'ed up big time
