The only person I've seen "Save" everyone in a blind play-through was Wade. (Lordminion777) His overly caution personality when it comes to serious things had him hunting and deciphering the Totems to try and save everyone. Also, he didn't want them fighting with each other from the start. (He knew this was a horror story and conflict among the cast would get them killed) I can't wait till the next game so I may study you all further.

i know the game is old asf but im rewatching this and i noticed chris (other than sam) was the only person not involved in the prank on hannah, and yet he’s probably the one most tormented by josh’s game like wtf

Am I the only one who actually feels sympathy for Josh? I mean, if he was that badly haunted by what happened to his sisters, then there is no doubt as to why he went insane. I'm tearing up at it, at the sight of his spiral and his hallucinations of his dead sisters.

Its a nice parallel to see how everyone reacts to a similar situation but at different times. When Hannah and Beth died due to the group's prank, it was dismissed as a stupid prank with some hint of guilt. But when Jessica 'allegedly' died to a prank, Mike is ready to murder Josh while others viewed the entire prank as a crime. (Although I do admit that terrifying Chris much more as compared to Mike and others who were actually the part of the prank, was really unfair) If we see it from Josh's perspective he was playing a very well laid out prank without ACTUALLY wanting to kill anyone.

I’ve come back in 2022 since I’ve finished watching The Quarry and seeing how Jack has changed the way he does his let’s plays, the way he speaks. I mentioned replaying Until Dawn and I’m really looking forward to him revisiting it!

But one question still remains.... Can we order pizza?

emilys slap is justified, like, imagine just nearly dying because people accused you of being infected and then all a sudden theyre telling you "ohhh nothings wrong! oops itll be ok!!!", u can hear the pain in her when she says theres no excuse and how she curls up on the table, i felt bad.

It makes me sad to know that people commented rude stuff about insulting him during his gameplay. It’s really just unnecessary, and makes it less fun for everyone, Jack especially. While it may be frustrating that he makes incorrect decisions, or misses things, it is not his fault, and it’s not your place to insult or belittle someone for that. You can comment your criticisms, but you don’t have to be harsh about it. It’s all about curating a better experience for everyone.

my heart breaks everytime i watch sean's old videos just knowing how self conscious he was in these times. i really wish he wasn't so stressed out during this playthrough, it just made me upset with comments from years ago that were weighing on him at the time.

I’m so mad that jack never read Hannah’s journal in the mines. Jack is so confused why Hannah is a wendigo. It’s all in the journal. Hannah and Beth fell. Hannah survived, and Beth died instantly. Hannah was starving so Hannah ate Beth, Hannah turned into a wendigo etc. I saw the glinting thing for jack to go to to read the diary and he just walks past itttt

Just for some clarification for those who are watching today and don’t know, I am Algonquin and Cherokee and Wendigos come from my Algonquin culture, to us they are not really folklore but more a warning to those who go into the forest unprepared, Wendigos is a malevolent spirit with human like characteristics who possesses someone and fills them with greed and an unquenchable hunger that makes them resort to cannibalism for a last resort of food. It is NOT some being that comes in the night that chases you around because you ate your friend. It also is not like a zombie, just cuz you got scratched does not mean you are now gonna become a Wendigo. Just thought I’d shed some light.

I'm proud of Jack for realizing his mistake with Ashly... BUT YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO OPEN THE TRAP DOOR! ... Oh well, after watching the Quarry it's good to know some things never change.

I know I'm literally four years late, but the reason Josh behaves the way he does is because he has untreated schizophrenia. I can't remember where you can find them, but somewhere in the game, you can find Josh's psychiatric history. He's been on all sorts of antidepressants, which are SSRI's. SSRI's are Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. Depression usually involves a lack of serotonin. But if you look at his behavior, he doesn't really display symptoms of depression. He does, however, display symptoms of schizophrenia. These include, but aren't limited to disorganized and rapid speech, auditory and visual hallucinations, and delusions. Schizophrenia involves an excess of dopamine and requires medication to lower the level of dopamine in the brain. SSRI's don't mess with dopamine. He behaves that way not because he's psychotic, but because he has an untreated mental illness. He's not a caricature. He's a confused, suffering kid that was failed by the psychiatric system.

Josh: pretends to be a serial murderer and makes it look like he's gonna kill everyone...then makes a silly joke about being tied up Jack: you know what Josh? You're all right!

If anyone didn't know, in the game years ago there was a mine collapse that trapped 30 men for a few weeks and only 18 were saved, the other 12 were eaten by the surviving miners b/c they ran out of food. Then then they were admitted to the sanatorium to do checks on them, but they started to turn into Wendigos and escaped after trashing the place. The Stranger "Billy" had round most up into the sanatorium cells, but on the night of the prank on Hannah he was trying to capture one, which scared Hannah and Beth leading to them fall off the side of the cliff. Beth died on the fall down, but Hannah survived. She buried her dead sister thinking someone would save her and started to keep a notes while she was down in the mine area (Jack didn't find this book). Hannah was so hungry she ate Beth''s body after 30 days only leaving her head (also not found). B/c of this turn to cannibalism Hannah started to turn into a Wendigo also (She is the naked one and her butterfly tattoo can still be seen).

im just. so thoroughly surprised with how jack managed to save everyone up until the last half an hour, and then everyone was gone in an instant. takes talent to do that lmao

Fun fact jack, the Wendigo chasing you in the sanatorium is actually the guy Billy from the post card all for more reason to shoot him, also are we not going to talk about how he didn’t question that there was no grave for Hannah but only one for Beth?

In a different ending you find Beth's head and you find out that Hannah ate Beth and that is why she is a wendigo. Hannah survived the fall, Beth didn't as she hit her back on that ice rock. Hannah buried Beth, that explains why there was a cross with Beth's name on it. Hannah was trapped at the bottom of the cliff for days and became so hungry. She started digging up Beth then... yeah.

It's annoying how people treated Sean during this playthrough. I feel like he did not fully enjoy the game because of the pressure he felt for needing to pick the best decision in the game to keep the characters alive. He is a great gamer, not the best, but at least he is very honest with his reactions and that's what made him one of the greatest people I know.

Fun fact, even if you choose to investigate the voice you can choose to not open the trap door and continue to the right. There is a tunnel that loops around.

Everyone is so mad about Josh doing what he did, but no one seems to remember that he's actually not really wrong when he says at least they survived his "game" while his sisters didn't.

I kinda love the change in josh after he’s caught because the planing his revenge was the only thing keeping him sane then after that he completely lost it

The funniest thing abt this series is that Jack is just COMPLETELY oblivious that the main antagonists of the game arent people and are just red flags for the Wendigos and him being all surprised when they do show up is just priceless since hes not taking his time to read anything from the sanitorium lmao 😂

Love Jack’s playthrough here, but wanted to share some knowledge on the creature. The Ashinaabe people, consisting of several Indigenous tribes in the Great Lakes region of North America, have the original folklore about the creature. However, I won’t write its name out of respect for those Indigenous people, as it is considered extremely disrespectful just to read and speak it’s name. I’ll just keep saying “The Monster™️” Originally, it is a rotting deer like creature that was once a person, which degenerated into The Monster after an overwhelming urge leads into committing an awful atrocity; namely greed falling into cannibalism, violent tendencies into murder…you get the picture. The Monster is extremely fast, hunts only at night, and craves the taste of human flesh as it’s urge for violence and cannibalism have overtaken its humanity. In particular, it’s heart has been frozen over, and that is why they are weakest to fire. I’ve been told there are also Algonquian/Ojibwe cleansing rituals meant to weaken its voracious spirit and in turn melt the heart, but there is no known way to cure The Monster after its transformation. I know this is an older video, but just wanted to share what I learned from an Ashinaabe acquaintance, and also wanted to ask folks to please be sensitive about content like this. Saying “The Monster’s” name out loud or in text is deeply offensive to Ashinaabe people, and as such should be treated with reverence.

I think at the point when Josh is caught and tied up, he's acting so off his rocks because the whole time up to this point he's been off his medication, so he slowly but surely escalated back into madness. He could control it at the beginning, it was just him wanting revenge but by then he was lost in his delusions

So now that feedback has come in and the dust has settled a bit on this I want to apologise again to everyone for having such a shitty ending. I was just as upset as all of you and I got very annoyed after I finished recording because of how the ending turned out. Maybe recording it all in a 2 hour bulk session wasn't the best idea because I got tired and weary and made stupid decisions thinking I was closer to the end than I actually was. I really regret how the ending turned out since the whole playthrough was amazing up until that point. Normally I'd say that's that and move on but I AM considering doing what Felix did and trying to save them all by replaying certain chapters. I said I wouldn't at the end of this but Just for a bit more closure and happiness to round off the series with.I don't want to end such a cool experience on a bum note. I don't know if I actually will cos part of me doesn't believe in redoing stuff like that either and just living with the consequences but this legit pissed me off haha

Fun fact and also bit of a spoiler : All characters can survive except Josh. He's automatically crushed by his sister, or if you find enough clues and play it a certain way, he ends up being a wendigo himself. Another fact : Matt and Jess are the characters with the least amount of screentime.

Oh Jackaboy... the first death was sad, the second was like "ah no..." but it was legitimately funny watching them fall one after another and your frustration as a result. Amazing content. Also I just heard you say "I won't go back and get the good endings, please don't ask me" while I stare at the next episode title with you doing exactly that xD You're a goofy man!
