I have always found your videos where you talk about the personal and professional challenges you are facing at the moment the most insightful. There is a lot of clarity in how you explain how you think through life decisions and it's admirable. I am very happy to see you achieve big things and go after opportunities that you wanted. Good luck! ❤️

🍀 this is honestly one of the most entertaining videos I have watched lately. It’s curious that you believe it doesn’t bring any clear value. I can watch “top 10 productivity hacks” anywhere, however having a view into the struggles you have when building a business and how you are dealing with them is not something that can be easily found anywhere else. Getting to see which books you are reading to tackle those issues is also a great insight!

hi Ali, I stopped watching your YT videos couple of weeks ago because I felt like they became too clickbait, let's make algorithms happy style. And then I watched this one. I can imagine how hard it is to balance it all out and I really admire that you just shared your thoughts and concerns with us. I think you already know and feel inside what's right and what you want to do. Maybe consider B2B in terms of "who pays the bills" as you mentioned that you don't it that normal ppl have to pay for your courses? Just quick thoughts.

🍀 One anecdote on why living your best life TODAY is important- My grandma's only dream in life was to visit the Taj Mahal (She lived in Delhi i.e. 3 hours drive from the place). She never went because earlier there were kids to bring up, money to save, marriages to arrange, then grandkids came along and life stayed busy. When she finally had the time and money, she no longer had the health. She passed away last year never having seen the Taj. So I'll just say- Go see your Taj (whatever that is for you). Don't wait for the right time, enough money etc etc. 😊🍀

I first stumbled on your channel cos of your iPad reviews, and yours was by far the best, most informative and helped me make my mind up about which one to buy, the fact that you were a doctor wasn’t important (but did make your views appear more legit for some reason 😆 we are so fickle!!) I also appreciated your Pakistani heritage again a superficial judgment (but we like being able to relate to someone cos of a shared background) and the rest was history, so doctor or not keep doing you, the value you’ve added to our lives is immeasurable, wishing for your success… May the Lord grant us guidance and the happiness we seek 🙏

🍀I haven’t commented on a video, I will say as an aspiring entrepreneur I watch your content. It doesn’t matter about being a doctor or productivity. You do have an incredible skill to teach and natural converse with the camera that is authentic. These doubts are legitimately telling you that the path your on is correct. No one naturally knows how to lead or an organization. These are learned skills, and your empathy and sense of responsibility for your “tribe” will only strengthen as you travel on this path. This was a good video and I appreciate the authenticity. Thank you.

Take this with a grain of salt given I am a sample size of one... But personally the thing that got me hooked on your channel and why I've come to love your videos is your transparency. Both in business and in life and in finance and in everything. Your openness about where you are, how you got there, where you hope to go, and what you're doing to get there. Hearing you talk about your struggles feels really relatable and comforting, in a weird way. As someone who struggles a lot with self awareness (sometimes wayyy too much) and over-pressuring myself to have everything in my life together and tick all my goals and "should-do's", not "want-to's", this is really enlightening. I think a lot of us struggle to find direction sometimes because we're trying to fit this certain pattern of a "perfect person", so much that we stop ourselves from being it by trying to have it all figured out. We're human and being flawed, taking time, not being sure of what to do are normal things, but sometimes when you're so deep into self reflection and self improvement you stop yourself from finding the answers to what really matters - still working on that one. Great video as always, Ali!

I just published my 130th consecutive podcast this week while keeping up with my KZfaq channel and writing a book and I can say from experience that it’s *a lot* of work. Batching and delegating podcast tasks is *key* (especially when it comes to interviews). I can send you by guest booking workflow if that helps, Ali. Fortunately, KZfaq Creator Academy says that there’s no statistical impact from KZfaqrs taking a few weeks off here and there. No long-term impact on views. So that’s promising!

Recently started watching your channel. In the midst of working in this pandemic I am finding that more people are depending on others to make their day. Friends, family, coworkers, and customers are running at an all time low. We have been deprived attention, communication, and much more that our pre-pandemic lives provided to us. Mental health is everything and I think you are carrying the stress of other's in your lap, especially with your team expanding. It is natural to feel empathetic in these situations, but it is best if you learn to control those empathetic thoughts and know when to shut down for your own sanity. I've watched a lot of videos of yours over the course of two-days. The happiness that alludes off of you is infectious most when you are creating content on educational topics, you can tell you are coming from a genuine place. As far as career changes.. I personally left my mechanical engineering degree to pursue a greater fulfillment. I think that new doors open and sometimes old identities become fun facts to new friends and great bragging rights for old friends. Do not fear your future. There will always be content to teach. You are an adaptable person! *Clover emoji*? I couldnt sleep and wanted to watch this video to see into your perspective more.

I constantly have to talk my way back to reality and go through the worse case scenario "If I don't get anymore work and my business fails what will I do" at the end of the day if I lose everything I know I have the skills and ability to start from zero. I'm on the fence about making content. I hate being on camera, but at the same time I know that I would value someone like me documenting the journey that I'm currently on. Wow, where to start. My wife found your channel and said "this is you". I have watched a bit and it is me. This video really spoke me. I am a 51 year old physician and have thought through many of the things you are working through in this video in my life. Temporally and coincidental is that I am leaving medicine this year and trying to decide what that looks like. So many thoughts. You are on the right path and your framework WRT your 10 year goals is correct AND your goal/approach is exactly how I see my physician peers frame their goals. As a physician I teach. I teach other physicians and I mentor leaders. Seems that is what you are describing. You are a life long learner and that is what you are trying to branding. People like me are your audience.

First time leaving comments on Ali’s video:) I did five years in architecture for 5 years in Uni and 2 years practices as assistant architect. After a long time struggling in an overworking and stressed industry, I decided to quit and pursued a different option and now I am in UK for three years working in different role. Ten years of my life, and now I finally appreciate working and feel motivated. For a while, I felt that 7 years of my life actually led to nothing. But now I actually appreciate that 7 years in architecture because l gained the essential design skill sets, industry instincts, some of the best friends which benefit huge in my future life. Actually I should appreciate that luckily I found out that after 7 years instead of after 14 or 21 years. Some might call that as a quitter behaviour. But end of the day, it’s your life and you know the best for yourself at a deeper level. Go for it Ali 💜 Trust your instinct

Even though the desire for most is to leave the traditional 9-5, it shouldn't really be the end goal because what's next after that? what's the infinite game?

🍀 I have to say, it was nice to see the "real" you Ali, just expressing your thoughts about your life and direction... Concerns that we have all had at sime point, and very relatable to my life right now - so I really connected with you. Follow your intuition Ali, it sounds like you're going down the right track ❤️

Love this type of content where you’re being so authentic and it literally feels like you’re having a one on one conversation with us. YOU GOT THIS, Ali! 🍀 also, personally I watch your videos because I know that it will be useful and interesting, and not specifically just about one topic. That it’s not super niche :)

The one area you need to think about is how to expand to additional on screen talent. Your entire business appears to depend on you being on screen - I know you enjoy it, but producing content with only you limits long term growth. Look at channels like Linus Tech Tips where they have 5 or 6 additional on-screen personalities that have their specialties and fans.

As a past corporate exec, I am super excited and super nervous for you at the same time. Having heavy fixed biz cost esp w/ employees by growing the org too fast can becoming stifling esp in creativity. I truly wish you the best and hope your channel gross rev surpass your goals & expectations. Enjoy your content mostly. This one you're right, it's a rambler. Had to 2x and stop short.

Really great to be able to hear you talk through all that, Ali. I work in Reward and People Data (both subsets of HR) and usually explain to people the need for the different corporate functions by talking about a start up growing in size. It was awesome to see you get all excited by drawing an org chart! Best of luck to you all!

🍀 Hey Ali, Yes, the video was a bit longer than I thought, but it's a great watch since the weekend is already here, and I sincerely needed to take a break from all the mainstream content, including movies, product reviews, and whatnot. I believe that this was a great initiative, and I wouldn't mind watching such videos in the future either. Also, it's great to see your journey. Really inspirational (especially since I have been going through some stuff myself), it's really nice to see you succeed in what you love. Keep going. Don't overthink about all of it. You are doing just great. Break a leg, man!! 👍🏼

Hey Ali! I don't usually comment on videos or watch 40 minute long videos, but your thoughts are pretty relatable. I think while there are pros and cons to doing all or focusing on a niche, ultimately what matters most is that you enjoy the journey. I understand now that it is harder to do since it's become a business and bigger than just you making videos, but I've generally just enjoyed hearing your thoughts on things and life in general🍀 You're transparent and I appreciate that in all your videos.

🍀 Great video Ali, thank you. It was particularly interesting for me because my life has completely changed this week as I took the plunge to move to Australia with my family and I'm going totally freelance after 15 years of "corporate" life 🤯 I've taken a lot of value from it, especially in terms of your thoughts on employees, medium & long term goals, doing it for the right reasons etc, it's given me food for thought and its inspired me no end so thank you again. Oh and awesome looking workspace! 👌

🍀I truly enjoyed this. As a business owner myself, I struggle with some of the same issues. Do I get bigger just because I can? When is enough enough? What parts of it do I love? As the business gets bigger, more and more tasks take me away from my core expertise (the care and feeding of gifted children) and more and more to the business side of things (meetings with accountants, etc.). I loved hearing another person voice some of my same struggles. And I know your niche: It's the "how to be a better human" niche.

I'm one of your recent followers. I appreciate your "ramblings" because as you said in one of your other videos it's interesting to see the process and 'behind the scenes'. Even though the questions/struggles you have are different from mine, I can still relate to you on a broader scale - the quest to find the balance of work and life, etc, and your thought process help me to review my process for my questions, or give me an entirely different way of thinking about either the question / the process of finding the answers. And for someone like me who lives by herself, there's time and need for videos like this where it's not cognitively heavy that it needs my full attention but I can half watch it while cleaning or doing dishes and focus for a bit when you mention something particularly resonating / interesting. I'll be interested to see your answer through the developments w ur business. Wait. Is that a flush I just heard? 😜🍀

Hi Ali, I'm not sure if you are going to see my comment. But one thing I want to tell you from the other side of the world is I watched your videos since years ago and you are one of my motivations for graduating med school and pursuing things that I want to do in my life. It's sad to hear that you were posting videos that you weren't proud of but I'm really glad that you kinda swayed back to the right direction that every of your followers will like you to! Doing what you like to do and the numbers will be there. The ultimate goal of doing all these, growing a business, producing youtube videos, coaching people on how to make youtube and stuffs is to be happy and proud of yourself! Please stay this way and be the Ali we love! Good luck! And yes, I watched till the end! 🍀

I agree with Lewis on that note, yes being a med student gave you the edge for study habits vids which propelled your channel, but all the other stuff has nothing to do with medicine. I'm personally fascinated at how your mind works/ how you do life. For me, your best content this year was like right at the beginning of the year, second brain stuff, you book club insights are really refreshing. It would be interesting to see you use your meta learning skills to like absolutely dominate another career/unrelated field.
