It's very early days, and we're a long way from getting any kind of real detail about what this game might be about or how it'll play. Here's wishing them the best of luck though, and hopefully it's something to look forward to playing in a few years

I’m cautiously excited, rings of power and and new world left a lot to be desired. I hope this pushes lotro to get the ui and server updates out sooner.

I think New World has done some things positively since the mass exodus. Rings of Power has a lot to do with the pandemic IMO. Looking forward to season 2.

I'm kinda excited. I've heard that they're changing the story from a Second Age focus to more concurrent with the LOTR storyline. Or maybe that's just a rumor? As far as accuracy to the text, I've always given games more wiggle room than I do films. We can't have a thousand player characters tagging along in Mordor with Frodo, after all. They have to invent other stuff for us to do. As long as they don't turn Shelob into a sexy vamp, it's all good. 😆

That would be 100% rumor at this point. There has been no other info. The only real Second Age stuff has been the RoP show and the tidbits from LOTRO. I agree in giving games more room to breathe because in this genre you kind of have to.
