Sorry America, we did not love this movie like most of you did. On an unrelated note, we also found TONS of sins in this movie; way more than you were probably expecting.
Later this week: Something Fincher.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins do YOU want to see recounted?

lf It’s because those scenes have so many edits and cuts and shaky cam per second it will make you gag just trying to keep up when looking into it. That’s why CinemaSins hate Marvel editing, because the choreographers and cameramen allow the editing and shaky cam to do the scene for them, without actually showing details like John Wick movies do

Friendly Cinema Sins Removal Service 4. At the end of the sequence it's explained that Cap is running cause he's having trouble sleeping. 5. Sam clear states Cap probably ran 13 miles in 30 mins. 14. Probably learned French during the war. His intelligence was up'd by the serum and he did stage shows all over. 15. Does it look like GSP is a match for him? Looks like Cap is toying with him to me. 16. Actually he lied to them all the time in the movie. Secret weapons, secret monitoring, secret Hulk kill box. 19. Maybe they're busy. Fighting Killian, fighting Dark World Invasion, fighting *insert new hulk enemy*. 24. He doesn't get his own exhibit, but his own display. They probably all had their own and one collective one. 25. She doesn't die in that scene. And who said he hadn't visited before? Maybe he goes every week. 26. They ain't talking to Nick Fury, dude. 31. Actually HUD in cars are a real thing. 34. The car has bulletproof windows and armored siding. I'm guessing it also has run-flats. 35. Even if the car "can" drive itself, what else was he gonna do? his taxes? eat a salad? take a nap? 42. Not like he's a movie star hitting up the clubs. Who wants a headline that says, "Cap Returns Home From Work." 47. Cause that's what superheroes do. They pick up the phone to Asgard and card for help. 48. He can't fly you know. 56. They were trying to be sneaky about it. 57. Otherwise they shoulda sent the other superhumans they have on staff. Oh wait.... 62. They were trying to arrest him in the elevator. (cuffs, stun rods) 66. Physical always-on GPS attached to every flashdrive in stock? Wouldn't be practical or reasonable. 67. 9 mins for them to physically get there, dude. You actually explain this in sin 69. 74. Shield was more covert back then. 75. War Games was a movie. Star Trek is a TV series. It's easier to finish. 78. More like evil villian monologue cliche' 79. He was referring to Howard Stark's death, which was always thought to be an accident. Backstory plot twist. 81. Of course he survives. America!! 82. No calculation. No detail. Shot a Bunker Buster into a bunker. Ground team cleans up. Pretty simplistic. 83. He's only been on the run for a day. Figured they'd try sneak up on him first. 85. Cause it's unheard of you say goodbye without actually having a face-to-face with someone. 87. What was he gonna do? tie her up? 88. Actually, they did exchange full names, 90. Pretty sure he's gonna need an owners manual if he's gonna operate these things. 99. Fall + GRENADE EXPLOSION!! 100. In the previous scene, Winter Soldier has a realization that Cap might be in the bus. 103. In the previous scene, you can see the shield lying there. Winter Soldier sees it. 107. Miniguns have horrible aim, especially unmounted ones. 112. No shoe-horning. Winter Soldier is classically always revealed to be Bucky. 119. You assume that's 30mins into the ride? Just as easily coulda been 2mins into the ride. 123. Hill was disguised as one of the Strike Team remember. 124. Probably a transport following Hill as she snuck into the Strike Team van in disguise. 126. Its actually the same drugged used in "every" fake death scenario. You can call it a cliche' 128. Then they employed him, allowing him to secretly build a faction of Hydra inside shield. The whole plot of the movie. 130. What's he gonna call Ironman on? his Ironman phone? Besides, they don't have long before launch. 144. Hydra didn't design the ships. They just figured out how to steal them. 146. Goggles got cracked and mouth guard got swiped. Both back on the highway scenes. 148. Said so himself. Emergency back-door into the system. Guessing it's hidden for sake of emergency use. 158. Unless the helicarriers fall into the wrong hands again. Highly possible, since they are all currently manned by Hydra. 160. They were hovering straight up. 162. They were hovering straight up over the Shield Compound. 165. He told them where he was in the previous scene. 49 Sins Removed. New Total = 127. Sentenced to Learn about Steve Jobs and Apple, using Wikipedia.

1:21 Steve has known French since the 40s. He spent many years fighting in the Howling Commandos alongside Gabriel Jones and Jacques Dernier, both of whom were French speakers. Jacques barely spoke any English at all and Gabe would always help translate what he was saying. The directors stated that Steve wanted to learn French so he could speak to all the members of his team and give Jacques another person who could understand him. So yeah, Steve knows French.

I can honestly say that most of what you just said is up to opinion, but I definitely dispute that this film is "unengaging." In fact, this film was very engaging in my opinion. It's action-packed, has many good moments of character relations and emotions, and keeps you on your toes. In fact, it seems the reason people disliked the new bond was precisely because it was "cookiecutter." Bro, it's all a matter of opinion, and some people feel this film delivers in the areas you feel it fails.
@King-Bubel
@King-Bubel 7 жыл бұрын
People (or at least critics) disliked spectre because it completely failed to deviate from the bond formula. On the other hand, winter soldier was actually quite different from the generic MCU film with its spy-thriller style. The action scenes were all very fun and engaging, and the film has enough wit and humor to keep audiences entertained, whereas spectre tried to be edgy. The winter soldier was designed as a crowd-pleaser, and it's good at it, while still being a decently smart film. Also, just saying that it came from a good director does not make spectre automatically good. Directors can make masterpieces or duds. The watchowskis made the matrix.... but also jupiter ascending. Stop citing the director on his own as reasoning the the film is good.

Again, I do not doubt that the guy can make good movies. However, the fact is that even good directors can make bad (or unpopular) movies. At the end of the day, it's all a matter of opinion. Everyone has their own and is entitled to it, as long as they have a reason for it.

Again, in my opinion, it's not a shit movie. Just because it's action-oriented doesn't mean it's bad. It's a fun movie that really keeps you on the edge of your seat. In my personal opinion, Steve stole his old suit from the museum for two reasons. Number one: The new suit was undoubtedly made by shield and therefore made by Hydra, the organisation trying to kill him and take over the world. He probably doesn't feel all too heroic in that suit right now. And number two: He's trying to get Bucky to remember him, so he makes himself look as much like the person Bucky knew as he can. Bucky never saw him in the new suit before he became the winter soldier, but he and Steve fought side by side in the old one. The costumes probably a small detail, but he probably figured it couldn't hurt.

Somebody hase probably already mentiones this here before, but I can't be bothered to check, so here I go: Steve stole the suit from the museum, because it was his oldschool suit, that he wore when him and Bucky were fighting side by side before Bucky "died". So I believe he wanted to wear that one (as it's look different from the dark blue one) so that Bucky remebers him. Also the fact that the scene from the museum is right after Steve says that Bucky WILL remember him kind of proves that.

I think Cinema Sins really jumped the shark with this one. I don't think ANY movie should be above poking innocent fun at it (yes, even the most beloved Hollywood masterpieces), but a whooping 22 MINUTES? I feel Cinema Sins has gone so far past their original aim of pointing out actual continuity errors (like a jacket appearing in the background of one shot in a scene, but disappearing in the next) or major plot holes, that most of this is no longer funny or entertaining. More than half of the points aren't even mistakes/goofs/errors at all, and are just random points and jokes (and poorly written ones at that) thrown in fill out the time. It makes you come across as whiny, boring, pretentious jerks instead of humorous, logical, and refreshing voices of reason. It's almost gotten to the point where someone should do a parody "sin count" on Cinema Sins.

only one little boy recognizes cap in his own exhibit is not a mistake but a point to draw on people don't see what's underneath his suit. this point is reinforced through every cap movie. no one saw him when he was just steve rogers, but when he's captain america, he's suddenly recognizable. Those who did see him as he is hold such an importance to him that he's willing to give up everything for them (aka bucky). Even when he's with the avengers, almost always addressed as by cap, not steve. And that contrasts with what the serum did. The serum enhanced everything inside him, so he did not become a new person as everyone seem to think he did, but he became extra steve rogers. Like even more steve-like than he was before. Super Steve.

Though he still blows it by spoiling that the missile is coming, giving Cap time to find his safety hole. So Zola just dumped a boat load of Hydra secrets onto Cap and Widow while also giving them an escape route, he could've done one without doing the other, keep talking until boom or just refuse to humor their curiosity. Either would've been better for their plans, Cap is either dead or clueless.

butchdeadlift10 Or there's that. But either way it's not a sin that Cap can speak french. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people call things plot holes when they aren't. A plot hole is when a movie contradicts itself, so if Steve said he doesn't know any other languages, and then starts speaking french, then yes, that'd be a sin. But using the info we have in the movie, that he does things better and faster than most everyone else, fought in WWII where there are french people, it contradicts nothing that he can speak it.
@butchdeadlift10
@butchdeadlift10 8 жыл бұрын
And for anyone else who leaves a "French are cowards" comment, the primary thing (out of so many things) I want to remind you (or fact check on my behalf since I am being kinda lazy about this {honesty}) is that the language surrounding this was just political slander that some nations developed because France was objecting to post war actions (such as dividing Germany in half). You are not stating a fact, you are quoting long dead spin doctors that got absorbed into a running pop culture gag where a couple of generations forgot the punchline.

Did the creators of this pay not attention to CA:TFA - They had a guy in the Commandos who ONLY spoke French - Jaques Denier and then Gabe Jones acted as a translator. However, I believe 100% that Cap would have wanted to be able to speak with ANY of the people under in command AT ANY TIME - which means not needing someone to translate. So probably Gabe taught all of the Commandos at least a little French that would be useful in war.

8:31 #78 The evil Hydra guy's brain computer was stalling. He said so right after. Telling them about Hydra was the easiest way to grab and keep their attention. He knew the missile was coming and they would all be dead soon, and so he talked to stall them. Plus, he was probably proud of it and wanted to relive his glory once more before his death, so it was the best of both worlds. It's not like the cliche where a villain talks for a long time, rather than taking an action, and that time saves the protagonist. It is the opposite; the villain had no ability to take action, and he stalled specifically in order to take time so the protagonists could not save themselves. His only flaw was in getting cocky and telling them about the missile when he knew there was a little bit of time left. Although he probably figured they couldn't flee to safety in 30 seconds or whatever it was, and as a former Nazi he probably likes seeing people in distress knowing they are about to die.
