I did notice that when it's daytime and you use the M16 scope in a building it turns everything super bright and Make it difficult to see stuff at a distance or close by looking at a window

if your on xbox make sure you put graphic settings to low if you want constant 60 fps, after 1.1 they changed my settings back to high and i was wondering why my mods weren't working and i had low fps

Wow 2 years in and I can finally play this game. My focus key was never binded so the entire time I’ve had this game I couldn’t focus, and with the amount of weapon sway the game had it was unplayable without it. 2 years and now I can change it. Fuck this game.

Good to see you my man, once again, props to the information, I jumped in blind the other day, as I do.. Didn't know what changed just went for it found myself a sweet little sedan, noticed the AI were in unusual places like on the beaches north of hornbeam, that was a fuckin surprise dodged a roadblock and thought i stumbled on a bunch of Soviet players but they were just FIA randoms chilling on the beach.. shot me to pieces was fun though, real smooth gameplay had a good time of it. Didn't know about the other weapons but I did notice the green M16 Carbine that's a nice one, blends well in bushes apparently not well enough though I don't know how some people just see you and have such good aim from like 200-300m i mean SVD i understand, oh yeah nevermind i just remembered your first bit about the optics that'd be it.. nevermind, nevermind.. optics I liked it when it was just irons better and I'm going to have to remember to pack one now.. this is why i come back occasionally to say Hi.. You do the whole info thing I cant be bothered with :) 30,000 views near 3,000 subs and I'm only 1 of 779 likes, bunch of cheap cunts aye.. used and abused you should feel mate, til next time.

I was excited when the rumors about a remastered Operation Flashpoint started. When I saw what reforger was, the bottom dropped out of that hype. Arma has never recaptured the feel of the original Flashpoint game. Every Arma game stinks of jankiness, ai that is mostly trash and very bland combat scenarios. Operation Flashpoint had the perfect balance of diffculty vs realism for its time and engine limitations but was fun to play. You could easily replay missions and discover new ways to complete them. "Original games do not fade", very true.

They just need to add move markers for vehicles in game master and make AI more responsive in those vehicles. The modders from that point will completely figure out Combat Ops and I HOPE, I HOPE I can finally get a game which is tacticool, immersive and offers a simular gameplay loop to far cry for solo players.

I find it to run much smoother than DayZ on my PC. It still has it's occasional dips but its on par with about any other title out there. The lighting and world immersion are unmatched in my opinion. I average 55 to 65 fps @ 1080p on my rtx 2060.

i'll be honest. I have no idea how effective those can be. Cool? Yes very! but actually usable in the pvp servers? probably not. It's hard enough to keep a heli from getting shot down. People are freaking good with RPG's.

I pondered it for quite a while as well a few weeks ago because I'm not much of a multiplayer person. It's been 3 weeks and I've already put in 42 hours. With the right server, it seems like a breeze to enjoy my time, even the one spent just standing and waiting for the GM to start an Op. May I suggest the 75th Ranger Regiment, 2nd Battalion. A public server and lots of goofing, but also quite fun and a path to more serious mil-sim private server of their's.

Well tested this in a single player mode... Totally disappointed how lagging gameplay is with AI who perfectly know behind which wall, bush or direction you were hiding. 20 bullets in to the enemy AI body from the hunting position and nothing where they can kill you just by the one shoot when running. UI still one of the worst and lots of glitches so need a serious another big update. Co-op or multiplayer is very fun but definitely they can't handle for single players.

whos fault is that? time consumption and resource usage should be something they take in account. if you cant work on 4 projects at once, dont do it. my opinion. this game is literally unplayable for alot of the player base. as new players come, half of them refund the same hour as they arent able to experience what they paid for.

Is there hotas/trackir support for the helis yet? I’m a big arma pilot, but I’ve spent a fair bit of cash money on my externals, and frankly, I just wanna use em.

TrackIR can work if you lower the sensitivity all the way down, and I believe there is a vJoy workaround for hotas controls. I believe both of those are due to receive proper implementation at some point.

The small combat ops you do it at the box. The resistance version with all the hideouts on the island you cannot save load out. You restart with a pistol and loot gear from down enemies or at the safe houses dotted about.

For anyone who’s played the game, I’ve been on fence with this game for awhile now. I was wondering if the game is worth it just for the new solo/coop mode? I really like these tactical shooters but I’ve never played arma before and I tend to struggle to play games like squad or hell let loose bc I’m more casual when it comes to online pvp games. Plus I just don’t have much time to put into games anymore.

This is a hard and unforgiving game with a serious learning curve, especially if you’ve never played Arma or DayZ before. I don’t really see how playing it solo would pay off enough but everyone’s different. Coop, however…it’s fantastic. I mostly play the conflict mode which is PvPvE, it’s a 3 faction fight for control of the map. Comparatively, I play HLL competitively, I love that game but Arma Reforger is a head and shoulders better experience.

I actually have lots of time on DayZ but I haven’t played it much in about a year or 2 bc it’s just too time consuming with my current life. (I’m in college and work a job). But I appreciate the response. I’d really like to give the game a shot one day. Maybe I’ll catch it on a sale and I can try it out.

@@billymays5542 it's on sale now (25% off until 3/21), and honestly the conflict mode is easy to jump in and play for an hour or two. But it's tough to get the full experience until you have at least 15-20 hours into it to learn how to do everything. Similar to DayZ its best to ask for help once in the game.

Even if Arma 4 comes out, it'll take 4-5 years just to catch up with Arma 3 iin terms of scalability, assets, mods - I think the expectations are already way too needy personally and I understand for console players as they have no Arma 3.

Damn they really addressed most if my concerns until now, time to come back! Have they changed the spawn time for defending players at a base under attack? used to annoy me real hard that they could spawn back after 5 seconds, making it really hard for attackers to take the base in comparison, plis makign medic role irrelevant since it was faster to just respawn when defending Also, how does deploying AI work now? I remember main "strat" was to spam living quarters to the point it was impossible to take one base because it would generate 64 AI per minute (4 per minute per small LQ, used supplies if there were but they would still spawn with no supplies for whatever reason), which is 4 times the size of a conflict aarland team, blocking capture and making it impossible to even go for the shovel dissassemble, and slowed down the server a lot, had some issues with clearing corpses and the server would just freeze after 200ish dead AI Edit: nvm, just saw the part about manually deploying AI, missed it first tile, that's AMAZING news

I'm pretty sure you can do it from one of the hideouts. Also remember you are only saving your character, the world is dynamic and changes as other players interact with it.

Until there are game modes that get you in the fight quicker and allow you to see yourself and team mates on the map I dont see myself playing it. The pace as it stands now is not something I am interested in. Oh and the loadout system was complete bs.

There are a few community servers that operate this way but the game isn't intended to be Call of Duty. It's a Milsim..

Historically Arma series is a spectrum from sa-matra King of the Hill all the way to whitelisted DayZ Roleplay servers. Lots of different game modes with different paces for all tastes. Right now Reforger does not appear to have something for me.@@kirbyloewen9106

Wow... if I have to read the "this isnt CoD" boilerplate armchair general take one more time im sure Ill unlock some sort of achievement. You MilSimp LARPers really are cringe and make me feel bad for enjoying the same games. No, it is not JUST a MilSim. In fact Arma 3 had no real MilSim servers to speak of. Arma has always been a spectrum that ranged from sa-matra King of the Hill to whitelisted DayZ RP servers. Reforger currently has nothing to offer that I would consider enjoyable and quite frankly looking at the player numbers it would do well to bring out a game mode that more than a handful of dudes actually want to play.@@kirbyloewen9106
