What is your own "ceiling" and "floor" that you project for the 2022 Ravens? If you guys guess their record perfectly correct (with no edits!), we'll send you a bootleg shirt of your choice after the season!

Great breakdown Brett and EJ. I wanted to add for the notable coaches is that there are two more former players as coaches. Anthony Levine SR. aka CoCap and Sam Koch have become members of the staff this past offseason. Also I think that Sam could be a notable loss for holding for Tucker on field goals.

yeah, so far the new long snapper has been working nicely, but given that the ravens each year win 1 or 2 games mostly due to that FG unit, it is paramount for this moving piece to also work

As a Ravens fan I can see 2 outcomes. To me this team is either winning the Super Bowl or missing the playoffs, theres no answer in-between. They have the talent to make it all the way, but they also could be the equal of our squad in 2016 where they started 3-0 only to miss the playoffs.

For the " anonymous " coach still trying to keep alive the false narrative that Lamar can't bring you back, he clearly wasn't paying attention. He had 4 comebacks last year. Detroit (4th-19) KC, Indy ( over 400 PASSING yards) and Minnesota. Led the team down for a game winning FG in week 1 vs LV with 40 sec left. Game went to OT. Also 1 game where he scored the potential game tying TD and Harbaugh went for 2 which didn't work. Very easily could've had 6 comebacks in 12 games. He's not perfect but he's clearly a special quarterback

Im calling a 10-6 record for them but I think they will be a playoff worthy team even if they dont make it unless they get injured again. I don't like the media take on the passing offense where they act like receivers dont get a shot tho. Hollywood had 91 catches last year and Andrews had 106 catches, but Hollywood cud have had 130 catches if he didnt drop so many passes. I think Greg Roman should use some better concepts but receivers do get chances to make plays in the offense. I am hoping they may go a lot more no huddle this year because most teams dont have enough depth in base personnel to counter a no huddle offense and running more outside zone cud stop any team from running the defense the chargers used against them in that playoff game. Idk why they dont put Lamar under center more for the running game but if even one of the undrafted lineman works out they cud rotate o lineman for drives and that wud help with the no huddle offense. I think if they do that Mark Andrews may play the X role with someone else at TE when Bateman is taking a breather, but running a no huddle spread with multiple TE's and RB's is something I think they should so and not what they will do I'm just projecting what I think cud be the most effective with their personel because I really like their personnel with a scheme I wud love to see in the NFL. I wud even be cool with Duvernay getting some carries on outside zone off jet motion or just more regular jet plays or orbit screens. I love watching the Bengals but the Ravens were the team I watched before because I loved their offense because it was different but I think they need to make some changes to really take advantage of Lamar because I feel most of the issues that people have with Lamar are caused by the lack of his offense in the past just not allowing him to do whatever people say he is lacking.

If the Ravens offense looks even 80% of what it did in 2019 the only team they're 100% losing to is Tampa lol. Not a single other defense on that schedule can stop the run enough to securely beat the Ravens. This team could legitimately go 15-2.

There are several things that the Ravens have been known for the last few years: a great run game, great coaching, great defense, a lackluster passing game, and failing in the playoffs. I see all of that happening again (as long as Mike McDonald is competent as the new DC). I like Lamar, but he is not a consistent passer. Plain and simple. His insane running ability opens up the passing game, not the other way around. Having Rashod Bateman as your WR1 could work if he improves; but, as always, if they get behind in a game they’re going to struggle to catch up. Unless, of course, they get to play teams that sustain tons of CB injuries halfway through the game like the Colts did last season and get a comeback due to that. I genuinely think people forgot how terrible Lamar was in the first half before the Colts’ CB injuries, and the fact that the Colts missed the game-winning FG. That comeback was a fluke to me, not the new standard. Floor: 9-8. Ceiling: 12-5. Prediction: 11-6 (and a first round exit 😈)
@thetruealex7478

What about all the other near or succeeded game winning drives? There's another comment that spells out how Lamar easily could have had 6 comebacks last year in 12 games
@Rekcha
@Rekcha Жыл бұрын
@@thetruealex7478 The only other successful comebacks I’m aware of are against the Bears, Lions, the Chiefs and the Vikings. The Lions and Vikings were both not good and historically choke, the Bears were terrible and the Chiefs threw the game away with turnovers so I don’t credit Lamar for that. I’m also aware of their close games against the Packers, Steelers and Browns. Two of those games involved Huntley, not Lamar, and the Steelers were a 4-win team. They also blew a lead against the Raiders multiple times. I couldn’t find whatever comment you were talking about so let me know if I missed something.
