Hi, I'll be at the aiport soon and my destination is way before the ADO bus stop. Would I be allowed to stop out before or it will take me directly to the bus terminal from the aiport?

You’re welcome. Your best option is just riding the R1 bus to ADO and catching the bus from there. Unfortunately it only leaves out once a day and returns once a day. Other than that you can use the Didi app or else you have to order a taxi.

Hi! I'm still learning but I'm staying at The Royal Uno Resort soon and is it possible to get on a bus from there and go to Marina Las Perlas?

Yes. Either R1/2 will take you. Just make sure you are going the right direction. You can always ask the driver as you get on and they’ll tell you if you need to cross the road and go the other direction.

I would like to take the R1 or R2 north to Cancun and catch the ADO bus from downtown to the airport. I need to be at the Airport by 5:45am to catch a 7:20 am flight. I hear the buses only run every hour during the night. Is there an easier way to get to the Airport like going south? Or should I just pay a taxi $35 or $600 pesos? I only have a small backpack that is easy to carry, no large luggage. Thanks for any help!

I’ve taken early flights multiple times and used ADO but I just give myself plenty of time. 3 hours minimum. If you do that then you don’t have to worry. If you miss the bus then you can always take the taxi. I just checked ADO schedule and they are leaving every 30-45 minutes so you should be fine.

The thing I'm most confused about is how to tell which direction the buses are going. So if you want to go up towards downtown from the hotel zone versus going down towards Playa Delfines. Any advice would be appreciated!

I ask other passengers waiting if there are any or you can always ask the bus drivers. They will tell you to cross the street if they’re going the other way. After you ride it a few times it makes sense.

It depends on where you want to go. R1 will take you towards ADO and centro. R2 will take you towards residential areas

Why are there a ton of videos about R1 and R2 and nothing about the regular local bus routes in the downtown, etc. for those staying and getting around OUTSIDE the 'Hotel Zone.'

The other bus routes are slightly more complicated. I always recommend the Moovit app. It’s great for getting around outside the hotel zone.

Can I take the bus from downtown Cancun to Playa Delfina’s? Also how much would a taxi be from that distance?

Yes. The R1 or R2 bus can take you all the way there. A taxi will probably charge at least 200 pesos (about $11 usd) since it’s towards the end of the hotel zone

You will have to take the R1 bus to the ADO bus stop and they have a bus there

Taxi is 100-200 pesos with no waiting. Bus is only 12 but you have to wait for it. Taxi is better but more expensive.

Unfortunately not. You’ll have to take ADO to downtown Cancun. After that you’ll take another. I recommend downloading the Moovit app in the description to help plan your trip.

Hi. When we ride the R1 from our hotel to ADO Terminal, do we need to tell the driver where we are getting off as we enter or just pay him and he will automatically stop at ADO terminal?

They typically automatically stop because it’s one of the most popular stops.

Yeah, they stop right in front. It’s a hub for a lot of other routes too so a lot of locals stop there too.

It depends on where you are and where you are going. Best to check date and locations on www.ado.com.mx/ I typically don't buy online in case I run late. I've seen people miss a bus then have to wait hours for the next one available

It’s a little confusing at first but if you read the locations on the windshields it helps sometimes. Also the Moovit app helps. There’s a link in the description. It’s not 100% accurate but it helps. And it’s free 😂

@@1bossychica DIDi. every time I used didi it was a taxi driver. I think that’s how they work there.
