love using koala to sample videos and songs by importing screen recordings as audio, must be real nice using it with the 404 too!!

@@Nicole-pt4bx this feature changed my life. Some other youtuber ( can’t remember name ) showed koala with the “import video”. I also use it to export screen recorded songs to my files folder.

I think I’ve seen someone do that!! Maybe TAETRO..? There’s deffo a way to cue sounds like in DJ mode

Yes, is possible already in "cue mode" but in momentary way, and it can't be linked with other sample. i meant, would be awsome, trigger a linked couple of stems samples, one with bass, drums, etc about the whole song, and the other with metronome audio also about the whole song, both in sync, but the first one sended by main output, and the second one sended by headphones output only, just as you would do in ableton.

The sound generator. The only thing I was missing was subsonic FX from the SX. But the env doesn’t work on my unit. I think there is an update necessary.

Same here repeatable. Load a sample from SD card.....resample the sample and boom Crash and reboot. Really Roland?

@@artisans8521 reddit told me the system reset fixes a lot of it, but I haven't tested it because I'm mid beat and I don't wanna risk losing my settings and chops.

I reset it twice, in fact, I did the whole installation routine twice. Also, mid beat, thanx Roland. Only one remains as far as I know. After loading a sample from disk and resampling. I'm a retired professional software tester, and I filed an official bug report to Roland, the Netherlands. This is what I would see as a regression error in which new functionality stops old functionality from happening. Since it crashes the entire device and forces a reboot probably running in a loop and from there into a catch (the reboot), this to me would have been red flagged as a showstopper after which the software release would be stopped until the bug was squashed out fully. Somewhere, a manager got the idea to release on the 4 of the 4, and that must have stood in the way of software quality management. Happend to me more than once. Hence, the word retired in my third centence 😢. Nice that reinstalling 3.02 didn't work either. So no way to revert besides buying a new SP 404mk2.

@@artisans8521 for what it's worth, I reverted to 3.02 and that solved the crashes and tempo issue for me. However it also reset all my sample volumes, start-ends, and chop markers. I had to do the revert though, because I was getting hard reset crashes 1 in every 5 resamples in 4.04.

After some website hassle, I committed an error report in my best practice as a retired test manager, that should get them on track.

@@artisans8521 I just ordered a sp 404 mk2 and when i can reproduce the error tomorrow then ill hit em up also and hope they wwill fix it asap.

And they responded with 4.05....but they did that so silent that I missed it. Okay, I was up to my neck in an overhaul of my apartment.

I would just let Roland know your ideas because they do listen to users. 😅

Loop capture was Roland b4 Mpc .. it was on the sp 555
