As a commenter below said - over the last couple months there has been some as of yet unofficial memos about changes in costs to stamps, work permits, and residency - with all that is going on, the government may take a bit to catch up on officially changing this. When/if if becomes official we will certainly do an update!

A few weeks ago I was able to get a 3 month extension by showing my lease on property along with a bank statement showing have funds.

@@keithlorenzo4321 you still pay the $100USD per month so $300. Just avoids going to immigration every month which takes time.

@@babyreps365 prices depend on where you buy and what you are looking for. In my playlist I have a real estate one where I show examples of condos on Ambergris Caye. You can find one as low as 80K US if you are ok being far out. For ones closer to town I have seen some for 120K. Reach out if you see any you like in my videos.

Hi. My husband and I have been perpetual travelers for over 10 years, and have recently bought a property in the Country of Georgia. We are American and are able to stay in Georgia for one year without a Visa. thanks for the information on Belize. We've never been, but would love to visit.

One thing I'm wondering about are the police certificates I've lived in more than one country would I have to travel to each country to get the police certificates if I were going for permanent residency in Belize I know on the government website it says you can't leave Belize for more than 14 days which I could do but it would involve a lot of traveling ( I haven't lived in Belize yet but it's something I'm thinking of doing someday once I have enough money.

Yes you are correct - there was a memo that as of yet is still unofficial to my knowledge, that the cost of stamps, residency, and work permits are changing. I am going with the old info until it is official and will be sure to make that update - thanks!!

I am coming from pakistan on tourist visa for one month for which I have to show 1 month hotel booking to immigration office . If I want to extend my tourist visa for 2nd month does it requires another month hotel booking or just submitting visa fee is sufficient? I hotel booking important to clear immigration or hotel reservation is required ??

People have a misconception about retiring in Belize on Social Security. Even though its in Central America, Belize is not a good option, if you only have Social Security. A better option is Nicaragua or Panama. The two big attraction in moving to Belize, are the beaches, and the fact that they speak English.
