I remember playing ceruli effect flawlessly and stumping opponents opponents because they think that the follow up effect after it was sp.sum on their board was my effect when at the time it was a monster in opponent control effect. I forgot what I combo it with but admin was called every time followed by a rage quit

Grapha fusion is probably the BEST boss monster dark world couldve asked for. Its almost impossible to deal with. Even if you bounce it back to deck, it will quickly be replaced by another one, as accession is most likely already set and ready to activate next.

If you have a fair balance of spells, traps, and monsters, you can run Old Mind. If you happen to have the same type of card you randomly picked, you can discard it and give them Old Mind as well as discarding that type of card from your hand. This works best in hand control veriants and even if you dont get a type of card you have to discard, the 1000 LP you take is still worth it because you now know a card in their hand. More importantely, if you get your opponent on the ropes after succeeding with Old Mond, they may play it themselves to get the draw off it. But by then, you are already winning. So its like stabbing a guy you just shot with a cannon in that sence. Most players you give it to wont activate it if they still have a chance. But that still makes it a dead card in their hand

Yeah you can run fabled raven if you play a heavier synchro build or lucent, it has great value then

Them: Wasting extra deck space for Akashic Magician and/or Security Dragon Me: Runs triple puppetry, so I can just banish the ceruli and then add it back to my hand, while also having the capability of banishing my opponents grave during their turn. And then running Knightmare Unicorn if I want to bounce it back to my deck to search with snoww. I also only run 4 dangers currently with 3 zals. People running like 10+ dangers are severely limiting the potential of the deck in my opinion. Nessie is just not nessiessary for dw anymore. Archives gives more than enough draw power, and the deck gets thinned so much between reign beaux and snoww. You can even use one snoww multiple times.

Akashic and security dragon are essential for completing the hand loop, running more than 1 archives is never a good idea, as it only activates when a dark world monster is on field, so starting with it is always bad, you only run one to draw into it or to search it off snoww. Running like 8 dangers are necessary, Bigfoot and thunderbird while inconsistent get you access to coach King, which if you activate basically wings you the game, it’s much easier to get him with the rank 8s. Mothman and chup are also your main ways of getting dugares out with a genta or zala, which is another really powerful card that just wins you the game off of advantage sometimes. Dangers are also non once per turn which is the best part about them, drawing into dead cards is the word thing about dark worlds, and dangers are always at least 50% alive with two cards in hand. Zalamander falls into the “you want to see it but hate to see two” category, as if used once becomes dead in hand, running two is probably best. Just some observations from playing dw for a while

@@andrewgood7586 I've been playtesting Darkworlds since they came out, ive tried control variants and every variation possible, and yes ones without dangers. I can confidently sayeverything im about to say is based off experiance but here we go. Dangers are essiential to dark worlds, they not only unbrick hands, but they open access to your xyz toolbox for much more consistancy, this is why you only play bigfoot and thunderbird for coach king and rank 8s, and why you play 1 of mothman and chup for rank 4s, jackalope and nessise are even better as hitting them guarantees you get the rank you want, letting you go into your rank xyz much faster. Dangers also let you board spam, and doing so lets you go into Saryuja, for again much more consistency, theres the argument that they could be replaced by by dragged by and dealing, however they both are inferior and have thier own porblems. Now into running 3 archives, what a joke, Darkworlds number 1 problem is bricking, and by running 3 archives and 3 zalamander you impair yourself on the draw way too much. Archives at 3 is terrible, playing darkworlds means you heavily rely on the draw and if you dont have a darkworld card on field or have too little cards, it doesnt do anything. Same with running 3 zala, while really good if drawn again is a dead card in hand. This is a major problem with dark worlds as they do nothing in hand unless discarded by another card, this leads to a LOT of choke points in the deck where having the chance of drawing a archives or zala leads to major bricking.

going 2nd with this deck isn't that hard. of course it depends what you are playing against but there are so many options to break boards: Grapha to destroy, Bigfoot to destroy, Akashic Magician to pop to hand for monsters that have effects on destroy or can't be destroyed and opp put them in column 2 or 4, Underworld Goddess for almost the same, Muckracker-Zelantis combo to obliterate opp board. there are also backrow removal tools. it can work through many disruptions and also bait some of them. but it can also brick heavily or be stopped by a single well timed hand trap. and I'm not even mentioning a Droll because this is a killer. but still, with a good hand you can at least make Bagooska or Dweller even when you're under D Shifter or something similar
@tcgsam
@tcgsam Жыл бұрын
It's not that you dont have options, its usually that youre going to run into ishizu tearlaments which set up dweller and/or shufflers/bystials which make it difficult to get started. There are definitely a lot of options against decks with non oppressive boards though

Yup, since it changes your opponent's effect to "your opponent (in this case you) discards 1 card" it counts as your opponent making you discard a card

I very much disagree with the suggestion of not using card destruction. You can lock out any grave effects by just setting a puppetry before using card destruction, and then just banish any problematic cards.
@tcgsam
@tcgsam Жыл бұрын
First of all, puppetry is a quick play spell meaning you can't activate it the turn it's set. Second of all, if you're able to search puppetry/make dweller before using card destruction it means you're already playing the game, and likely don't need card destruction in the first place though. If you want to take that risk though of using it then go ahead, Im not saying its a bad card by any means but it is risky
