The orchestra was very enthusiastic, I see..I am so glad this Mozart concert was chosen to perform..and Evgeny played superbly I got goosebumps after the first passage..I liked the tempo ..where I can really hear each lovely, melodic note...Thank you for the upload !

2-я часть Адажио - об утрате. Может быть, ушел в мир иной ребёнок, в музыке растерянность, нежность. Пианист прекрасно передал хрупкий и стойкий мир души в соло. А рядом продолжалась жизнь, не ведая скорби, и никто не вправе обвинять других, если они счастливы. ❤

What a marvelous concerto! This masterpiece alone proves his outstanding mastery. The f# sharp minor movement is so expressive. He somehow seems to avoid the sharp minors for whatever reasons. I suggest a discussion about this among all Mozart friends.

Probably the most beautiful, together with the nos. 9 and 21, of the "Divino" piano concerts. I remember the visit to his birthplace in Salzburg: the notes of the Adagio accompanied us through the rooms, full of objects belonged to Wolfgang: emotional. I chose the Adagio for the main scene of the best between my theatrical works as an amateur author. Thanks, Wolfgang.

Возможно, только в исполнении 23-го Концерта ничего невероятного я у Кисина не услышал. Сыграл, как положено. А великое Адажио у него просто не звучит.

Evgeny Kissin is the supreme master! Magnificent performance, 👏👏👏 Mozart is surely the greatest musician of all time. The melodies are simply out of this world. Absolutely love this piano concerto, and along with No 21 are two of my favourites! Having said that, everything this genius composed was simply awe inspiring! ❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏 Very disappointing that we have these irritating and annoying advert breaks during a piano concerto!

at 0:37 and 0:38 in the clip you can hear just two notes of some flute I'd guess in the background and I ask myself, as the last note turns out to be the fifth - an e -, if the first note is some d-sharp and thus not within A-Major... ...but I couldn't say on the spot, so I need to work on it, the moment my life is restored... ...but I got a slight impression of dissonance in this interval, and I need to ask Joana about... ...spotless is the piano though and I actually never heard some kind of spotted concertation on hearing Jevgeny Kissin... ...actually always beyond perfection Le p'tit Daniel

This was always my favorite piece of music, especially the second movement, but he plays it so slow that the melody almost disappears.

Heaven and hell on the same day, on this small planet, which a great Italian poet, Giovanni Pascoli, defined "This opaque atom of evil." Questa meravigliosa esecuzione ci eleva ad altezze celesti. Ma avete notato la data dell'esecuzione? 7 ottobre 2023. Il giorno del massacro compiuto da Hamas. А то, что благодаря политической конъюнктуре и спекуляции на национальности скоростным путем, без конкурсов, без преодоления, на вершину успеха была вознесена незрелая инфантильная личность, очень скорбно сказалось на таланте. Никаких отличительных особенностей стиля, все заурядно, обыденно. Зато много внемузыкальной суеты, треша и прочей PR-атрибутики.

Kissin is taking generally slower tempi, and playing better than ever! I can't quite understand why they conductor fails to highlight the bassoon's second interval dissonances at the beginning of the first movement..

I much prefer to hear the Alla Turca as Mozart wrote it, rather than the “souped up” over-the-top version played by Yuga Wang and Arcadi Volodos (although Volodos is an absolutely great pianist as well)… Kissin’s K. 488 is also good in its own way, but struck me as being a bit fussy…

Not me!! Kissin can play anything he wishes to play; he also composes; he also speaks 4 languages (at least); also writes poetry in Yiddish. And most Russian pianists that I know are musicians who play anything from before JS Bach, through Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms - and the great Russians! There is no school of musicianship in the world quite as great as the Russian one. (I am not Russian.) 🙂

The amount of restraint and control Kissin shows throughout the piece, especially in the adagio... There are so many technically harder pieces out there but there is something absolutely nerve wrecking about playing Mozart with a clean, lyrical sound. Pedalling won't save you. Playing Bach might be even more stressful, if possible. You'd think playing nice legato with dynamics is the most basic skill of any instrumentalist but apparently not.
