I’m not a provider but I am a patient whom has been forced to be my own advocate for ADD/ADHD everything (medication education, treatment, symptoms, etc.). It’s near impossible to get in with mental health physicians as they all have seemed to go the way of addiction treatment and have completely abandon ADD/ADHD patients.I am beyond grateful for your channel:information!!

@@DocSnipes since you replied to beahappy1today, I'll double check the exactness of next statement. I believe doctors, especially psychiatrist or prescribers if a PNP can't say too much other than the information given to them? If I am correct, then nor the doctors, but the portions above them should give a bit of leway considering they see & talk to the patients

@@DocSnipes I would be more than happy to give my perspective on what appears to be the majority of issues I was either misdiagnosed with and treated for nearly 20 years, before I pushed to see what was the real reasons. And as of last January, my IQ was back to 115. The emotional & behavioral response I guess will be a long time before it gets substantially better though

Love the videos on Codependency! I have Innatentive ADD so I found this very informative. I wanted to pass along that eating carnivore for the past year and half has been great for my ADD in a few ways. I don't have the disruption of the gut brain axis anymore, that can literally take me "offline" for a long time. Most of the time I have zero GI distress and don't even remember I have a stomach till I eat something that's plant based and get resultant stomach pain and fermentation. Another plus is not getting hangry, no ups and downs in blood sugar and only need a short amount of time for my eating window. Another plus is not wondering what to eat, just meat. Almost forgot, I noticed you mentioned inflammation in this video. I've been tracking my CRP (downstream inflammation) over the years. I have a medical background and it seems that's the one to watch for some time now. When I was eating a regular healthy diet I was 5.0 Then I switched to Keto and got a 1.7 After that I did after a year of strict carnivore and it was 0.6 on hsCRP test. I know it's antidotal but it's great to see a big improvement there. I also have tons of other labs that are dramatically going in the right direction. Again, thanks for your content, keep up the good work!

Doc, what is your opinion on Dr Russell Barkley ? He stresses the need for medication but does acknowledge that it is not the panacea as, for example, if you were diagnosed as an adult. Even with medication you would have learn the skills missed in life but medication makes it much effective. There are various different meds combine that with doses, it's hard to imply that some people simply react bad to medication when doubtly they have tried various at different doses to come to that conclusion. It's interesting how you chose to say 20% of people cannot tolerate medication, as opposed to 80% of people can tolerate it.

Supplementing by GABA?
@TheCipriottu
@TheCipriottu Жыл бұрын
GABA Does not cross blood brain barrier, even if it does syntethic GABA is polarised same as the receptors so its not binding on the receptors, u can supplement with L theanine that block the Glutamate receptors so that make GABA dominate over Glutamate. Also some bacteria in the gut (Some Bifidum species if i remember correct) make butyrate GABA is gama Amino Butyrate
