Bro I have participated in EVM hackathon with my team organized by ECI in 2017 at Delhi. EEPROM serial number(16 bit) is actually binded with in the ROM software, so even if you replace another EEPROM that has different serial number the control unit will not read the memory at all. It will throw MEM ERR. The ROM is once programmable during manufacturing I can't even reverse engineer the ROM byte code. Athula JTAG illa UART illa I2C illa onnume illa. The only hack we could able to do is reordering the LED display. Instead of 4000, we could able to make it show as 0004 or 0040. Simple soldering trick. But adhyum ipo single module ah potutanga nu ninaikaren.

1.Rtc Time can change by wire communication, 2.EEPROM is storage IC ,it can be changed by wire programming software ( example,, before voting ,they reset or earse last voting counting) 3.It cannot be tracked, if tracking is possible then there's wireless communication chip will be inside. 4.For every election each EVM is programmed based on no of candidate & candidate symbols.

During election, every polling officer in the booth will conduct MOCK POLL in the EVM machine before start of actual polling. During mock poll, random voting will be done by polling officer with the presence of all party booth agents. Atleast 50 votes will be polled by pressing all the candidates button and later the mock poll results verified for checking whether votes recorded as per mock poll. It will also be verified in the presence of party booth agents. This mock poll is conducted for verification of EVM machine and to ensure it working properly for party booth agents. If any malfunction found then immediately it will be informed for replacement.

8:30 - here is the point and drawback. If they count slip, it will be reliable by people. Each slip should have time stamp and encoded reference id. (So that they will not replace vvpat too)

Please don't trust people like Seeman speech belatedly, They also use Machine only, It's a fully internet-connected computer screen only, but after you select, it comes as print paper, then you should put that paper in a machine, that machine reads the digital ink and shows to whom u have vote if you press yes that's it. For counting they use digital only, they use paper only when conflict comes and court orders.

நான் ஒரு தேர்தல் அறை அதிகாரி தான். தேர்தல் தொடங்கும் 7 மணிக்கு முன்பு, 6 மணிக்கே ஒரு மாதிரி தேர்தல் நடத்தி, பட்டன்கள் சரியாக செயல்படுவதை அனைத்து கட்சிகளின் ஏஜெண்ட் முன்பு உறுதி செய்து, ஒப்புதல் பெற்று, மெமரி அழித்தே, தேர்தல் தொடங்க வேண்டும். எனவே பட்டனை மாற்றினால், அப்பொழுதே தெரிந்து விடும். ஏஜெண்ட் சண்டைக்கு வந்துவிடுவர் அப்படி நடக்க வாய்ப்பில்லை.

I want to add some information regarding this topic: 1. EC (Election commission) saying that they will remove the battery once the voting is finished so hacking can not be possible after the voting since there is no communication port as well as non availability of power. 2. EC saying that we can't re write the program in the micro controller of the EVM so we can't write the program to make the machine to vote for specific candidate if the statement is genuine.

Nice video bro! But one thing which I read somewhere is not matching with what you are saying 10:10 . The EVM when started, will run a test which will check whether the same components (such as the chip used for storing the votes) are there which was present during the manufacturing of EVM. If it was replaced somehow, the test can detect it by which we can find that some malpractice has been done. So there is no use in replacing the components as the EVM will not be considered for counting. Thanks for the Information bro!

Software hacking is possible. The machine is activated by a program. All machines need not have same software. WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal are all working similar. But each app has individuality. This is a basic idea about hacking using software. Only there shall be an identification for different types of software upload. Net would look same but operations can differ. Appreciate your work to explain.

It can be preprogrammed as below. After voting completed, if electoral officer presses a particular sign for more than 5 seconds, voting for a particular candidate can be increased. And at the same vote for another candidate can be simultaneously decreased and total votes will be same. Or Entire voting machine can be replaced. In that different machine, voting can be done favorable to a party
