Loopback is built-in to the EVO 4 and the Evo 4 driver, and it works with Windows and Mac. You MUST install the driver to use Loopback.

We will be using Windows and Pro Tools to send our ASIO audio out into OBS Studio.
But, you can use any DAW you wish (Reaper, FL Studio, Studio One, Cubase, etc...)
And any screen-capture or streaming software you wish.
Loopback makes it easy create DAW or plugin tutorials/demos, or to stream your DAW for a live performance for example.
We'll also show how to capture your screen, setup a dedicated microphone input, and add a webcam to your stream.
There is A LOT to learn when it comes to OBS and Streamlabs, we can't cover it all here.

OBS Studio and Streamlabs are both totally free. I suggest you start with OBS Studio. Once you understand it, check out Streamlabs, which is easier to use for streaming.

I have not yet bought an audio interface, nor a microphone, nor installed a DAW software, nor installed a screen recording software but man i can tell this video of yours is very very very helpful! The informations in it will serve me well i think.

This was very helpful. I have a home music production studio with Native Instruments Maschine MK3 and I was trying to figure out what I wanted how to capture audio from my DAW while also outputting to my headphones. This was super useful.

Thank you for your video! I had a hard time getting it to work. This video solved most of the problems. After harmonizing the bitrates (not only in playback but especially in the recording sources) in Windows it finally works.

THANK YOU for this comment! i've spent months figuring this would never work since i could never get OBS to work with ASIO in my DAW, only to find out that the loopback wasn't working because of the sample rate mismatch in windows audio device settings (that stupid legacy control panel). my loopback device was set to 96 kHz instead of the 48 kHz that the rest of the interface was set to...

I don't get to choose which Mic Line I want to record from my Evo 4 in OBS. I can only choose the Evo 4 as the main source and that way I have both microphones that I have plugged into 1 & 2 on the Evo on one track... Anyone knows how I can seperate the Input Mics from the Evo in OBS?

oh yeah. Loopback is a must for me. Either via the interface or old school using two interfaces. In the past I would make demos recording the audio separate using two computers or a hardware recorder, but it takes soooooo much extra time that way. With loopback you can record all the audio along with the video, and still have separate tracks in OBS to adjust later if you want them. Most interfaces with loopback cost much more (I also have a PreSonus 1824c with loopback), so it's pretty cool there's an option out there with loopback for like $129 (US)

I think I cover it here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLORqdNlsry6co0.html One of the main things that keeps Loopback from working is having the sample rate set incorrectly for the loopback in/out. Change it manually in your sound settings.

You probably have a sample rate mis-match. Control Panel, Sounds. Find Loopback 1/2, Right Click, Properties, Advanced Tab, change the sample rate to match your DAW and OBS setting.

Are you on Mac or Windows? If Mac, you will need something like Loopback (the app), Blackhole, Soundflower, GroundControl Cube, etc... to grab the audio. If on Windows, make sure the sample rate is the same for OBS, Windows, and the Evo. You'll need to change this from Windows sound settings, not the Evo app.

@@BenoniStudio the thing is, i'm currently using voicemeeter and it just works as intended. I've watched several other videos regarding the loopback issues, and tried the advice they gave including one from your evo 8 videos, still can't figure out how the loopback doesn't pass audio to obs. the loopback meters are active when I play something from cubase btw, it just doesn't pass it to obs

I was confused by the fact that when choosing a native ASIO sound, there was no choice of audio output in the settings) You just need to select the audio output to the LOOPBACK channel in the DAW master channel itself and that's it, the sound goes to the Loopback channel in OBS) Suddenly someone will come in handy

Check the OBS sample rate and specifically check the loopback sample rate for the Evo. By default it will be set to 96k.

They ALL are the same if I do 44.1k in PT then I use that everywhere else. On the evo and in obs. Even tried 48k, the only other option in obs and it doesn't work. I'm up to date on my updates too.

@@lancejones2789 similar issue here, all sample rates are the same, I am routing from reaper to loopback, loopback shows audio in the mixer is coming through but when i use looper as the input in twitch sings or voicemeeter there is no sound and i cant select anything else either.. did you find a fix??

Yeah I cant get the thing to work properly. As much as I want it to work I think this feature is a dud. Or at least not fully developed. 🤷🏿‍♂️
