Do the cartridges are the same for the turbos

I noticed you didn't use the tiny retainer rings for journal bearings. Why?? Just didn't need to? Also I see you didn't do anything to lock the heat shield in any way. Is it okay for it to be able to spin??

Can this be done at home without any special tools or better off sending it to you?

hey i am looking for more information on the correct torque specs for the compressor wheel nut ..… i do like you say 1/4 turn but im kinda unsure because the assembly spins a little bit slow

84 inch lbs or 7 ft lbs, you can handle feel it so don’t snap the shaft

Need help with my 3000gt VR4. My front turbo it's blowing oil from the turbine side and I've replaced it with a new one with the same results blowing oil again! I checked the drain witch is stock line seems fine and clean but I did notice the where the drain bolts up to the oil pan, the crankshaft cradle seems really close to the port 🤔 Would that be my problem?
@turbolabamerica5 жыл бұрын
I have seen where people put too much silicone on the drain causing a drainage problem.
@kevindechamp5995 жыл бұрын
@@turbolabamerica yeah I made sure not to and I have had it off three times :/ The only thing I can think of is the oil pan is too close to the crankshaft cradle

Tried contacting you about a gtx3076 in a evo9 turbo. You still do those?
@turbolabamerica5 жыл бұрын
We can do it, but I need to do 3 others first

What are the 2 little C clips for that came in the kit? Those and the other red O-Ring that was about 4.5" didn't get used. What are they for?
@aycentroid3 жыл бұрын
Those c clips are snap rings, they are placed inside the bore of the bearing housing to prevent the bearings from leaving the bore.
@kwag4153 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have those 2 left over 🤔🤔
@mikeweisenbacher97982 жыл бұрын
@@kwag415 as do I. You ever figure it out??
@kwag4152 жыл бұрын
@@mikeweisenbacher9798 depending on turbo I think its normal 😅
@Thr33.Sid3z Жыл бұрын
@@mikeweisenbacher9798 I figured it out only bc Austin told me where they go. They were actually the hardest parts to install for me. You need Snap ring pliers to install them, and they go into the center bore where the bearings sit. You can see them @ 0:28 These are very important bc they keep the bearings from flying out of the bore LoL

Hey ,I have idea .Why not we put transmission between compressor and turbine .It will make the compressor spinning faster than the turbine ,increase power and reduce lag
@aycentroid3 жыл бұрын
That would require an extremely expensive gearing and clutch system, and a new design of a bearing housing. It would also increase weight 20 fold.
