EVOLUTION & HISTORY OF SCREAMO/ SKRAMZ (1992-2022)

Күн бұрынScreamo (A.K.A. "Skramz") is a subtype of emo that was developed in the 80's by emo bands like Moss Icon adding the fury of hardcore into emo. This was put into full-effect by bands like Sleeping Body, Heroin, and Honeywell. Soon screamo too would split into different subypes of its own (emoviolence, twinkle-skramz, and even metal-screamo) in the late 90's. This is a brief dive into classic screamo, AKA "skramz", which keeps true to the hardcore + emo format.

I loved this band Twice The Messenger in high school, deathcore take on this genre. Always found it really interesting.

I personally think of them as Indie-Screamo/ Midwest-Screamo, which is why they aren't on this video. However I couldn't include them on my other video because of Merchant Ships

the labels dont rly matter but emoviolence is a mash of the words emo& powerviolence , so is better used for fast chaotic screamo with lotsof switchups does that make sense !!

Screamo is general screamed hardcore with emo elements. Emoviolence is screamo with powerviolence.

I personally discover screamo with Heroin, but, honestly it is not pure screamo. If it was, i would have discover screamo on another way. And yes this is logical. I mean, i was searching for something like "cosmonaut" from at the drive in, wich is not screamo, so heroin was the bridge.
