The main thing I notice is that in STRIVE, Paracelsus is way more keyed into what ABA is doing and what’s happening to her. He used to just disassociate and not really care except if she’s giving him a blood pack; now his eyes track her attacks, gets angry at the enemy if she takes an unblocked hit, gets annoyed if she starts swinging on him too long when she crouch idles so he flexes to pull her back up on him, reacts to pretty much everything etc. At 1:25, where ABA used to do her round win animation alone, Paracelsus now joins in with her and laughs with her when she ends it with a joke! He’s basically acting like an actual partner to her now!

The new Aba Paracelsus looks significantly better and far far more terrifying. She is a hard to learn character but completely unstoppable once you mastered her move, she is a all or nothing fighter.

This is my first time discovering A.B.A, can anyone please tell me what’s going on with this character?

A.B.A.’s a homunculus with copper for hair and mercury for blood that woke up in her creator’s abandoned laboratory. In her isolation she developed a love for keys and collected them. She came across a sentient magical battle axe called Flament Nagel, a weapon used in a war of humans vs gears called the crusades. Flament Nagel changed his appearance to that of a key so as to persuade A.B.A. to pick him up, and she fell in love with him and is psychotically possessive of him, renaming him Paracelsus and claiming him as her husband in a one-sided love affair. His plan failed entirely and he was now basically at her whim. In Strive, Paracelsus has now grown fond of A.B.A. and with the help of a gear called Testament, they break through A.B.A. fear-of-rejection fuelled possessiveness of him to show her he cares for her in turn and she mellows out somewhat (this is relative to A.B.A. she’s still nuts compared to most other characters)

if you talkin bout Aba goin ape with Paracelcus, then I'd like to point tout how that might be The Key's original form before he met Aba he transforms based on her emotions and desires, and since she sees Keys as representations of happiness and freedom Paracelcus takes that form but when her Jealousy gets the better of her he starts to melt and revert to his Original form with the transformation completing in "Key is King"

kinda don't understand the green hair choice, the hair style change is fine but the color is a bit odd. Also, in prior games, she looked more like a zombie but in Strive, she doesn't have that vibe at all, just my 2 cents. She is a great character overall in terms of design and lore.

The two Castlevania characters in Smash Bros both have final smashes where they trap an enemy in a coffin. In the (Awful) 3D fighting game Castlevania Judgment, Carmilla puts enemies in an iron maiden for her ultimate. And in Persona 4 Arena, Elizabeth uses Thanatos, which has multiple coffins floating behind him that he hits people with.

She in terms of beat ‘‘em ups/ action melee games is exclusive to Isuka on the ps2 with Robo Ky -2. For Judgement he’s exclusive to the psp Judgement. Fanny is exclusive to petit 1&2 though that was exclusive to Japan on the wonderswan Izuna is exclusive to Guilty Gear 2 overture. So it’s good to have A.B.A back
