Chicken Invaders is a long running series (since 1997) of shoot-em-up games created by InterAction studios, made in the Ultra VGA Engine. It's parodying Galaxian, Space Invaders, Star Wars, Star Trek, and Darius, where you shoot Chickens, stop their evil plans and save Earth (and humanity too).

Revenge of The Yolk *(3rd game)* was a revolution for the series. Gameplay, graphics and music score improved drastically and prepared the baseline for today’s CIU

I'm not agree. CI2 is the first canonical game in this franchise. He start everything. Let me not discredit it.

i played the 2010 version it used to be free back then many years ago when i was 5 and genuinely this was one of the best versions both graphically and the game as a whole, nostalgia also is a factor

Remember first playing CI4 when I was like 6 or 7. Still genuinely fun and addictive games (as well as very funny too).

When i was young i didn't know how to use computer like my peers, so, my best friend used to bring me games in a flashcard i had. CI was one of them.

I didn't knew this series existed untill my dad (who is 60+ years old and not smart with computers) somehow managed to download the demo version of the second game. He enjoyed it a lot despite just being a demo version and would play it after playing Moorhuhn first.

My god, i used to play Chicken Invaders 3 on my dad's computer all the time when I was a little kid. I never thought I'd actually find the game. Literally for years from time to time I've tried looking for the game but couldn't find it. But i just stumbled upon a meme that had the theme song in low quality and i was able to find it through that. I can't believe it.

In fact, the first game that started it all was CI: The Next Wave or CI 2. FYI, only four of all the games are canonical and are consecutive (not counting the Easter, Christmas, Halloween, and Thanksgiving versions). These are Chicken Invaders: The Next Wave, CI: Revenge of the Yolk, CI: Ultimate Omelette and CI: Click of the Dark Side.

Back in the day of the two first version the ship follow cursor at super speed, now it is much slower. I guess our hero has ate too much.

The first version of Chicken Invaders I played was Revenge of the Yolk. From the first seconds, I was really impressed with this game and the following two episodes as well. But when I returned to play the next wave , it was truly a disaster.

I'm not sure but I think I downloaded it here: interactionstudios.fandom.com/wiki/Chicken_Invaders_(DOS_Version). Currently, I see that the file is unfortunately marked as virus, and I do not have this game on my disk anymore.
